I haven't had spam since I was a child. Though, on rare occasion I do enjoy vienna sausages. I haven't had those in 6 years. And that's the history of me and canned meat.

Despite repeated promises, it fails to make my **** longer.

Spam is most excellent when fried and vienna sausages also rule. But no discussion of canned meat is complete without including the delicious corned beef hash. Mmmmm, hash.....

Corned Beef Hash is tasty and I have it myself about once a year. As far as spam and vienna sausages are concerned. No comment.

^Thats about the same frequency I have it. Its ridiculously high in fat and sodium.

I can't eat corned beef hash since I ate too much of it one day and got sick from all the salt. Spam is fine, though.

Is that real piggie brains? I've only had sheep's brains. Which are lovely, if scrambled with a splash of milk and served on toast with a shake of salt. (Make sure to remove the tough meningitic lining first, though; I once ordered brains in a restaurant and couldn't eat it as this can be as tough as a carapace, and is particularly tasteless.)

 

Of course it's high in fat: the brain is almost completely fat (which might explain why people with food disorders are so dim). It does contain some protein, though; brain surgery patients are served brains because it is very difficult for the body to create new proteins out of existing ones ... much better to have some of what you need to fashion into workable repairs for where they are needed.
