Tel Aviv Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 (edited) It looks decent to me. The explosions seem to be the usual hollywood "Must have pyrotechnics in trailer" thing. Other than that the whole look and feel of it resembles the games pretty well. I especially look forward to seeing 47's return to Ort-Meyers little den of mischief. -Farb I agree. The only thing missing seems to be agent 47's forehead. Hmm. I spy a token romantic interest though. What gives, wasn't 47 asexualed by science? EDIT: Must be asparagus, asparagus trumps science every time. Edited August 6, 2007 by Tel Aviv

Oerwinde Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6274 Tobey Maguire wants to be awful in another fan favorite adaption. Robotech would make an AWESOME live action movie. One of the few 80s cartoons that really doesn't need a lot of changes to make it work. The robots are earth-made so you don't need to make them look crazy, and the transformations work, as evidenced by the toys. The 40 foot human-looking Zentraedi might be a little odd on screen though, but you lose 90% of the plot if you change them. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Not really, they're basically gone after the Macross Saga. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

Chances are, the first movie will be the Macross saga, if not the first trilogy. Edited September 7, 2007 by Oerwinde The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Robotech was created as a bastard, they kind of have free reign to go nuts with it. When you're making a movie using source material that's not even true to its own source material, you don't really have to be true to that. It's not even particularly internally consistent. Mainly I just think Robotech is a bad property. Macross is occasionally a good property, the original Macross series and Macross Plus. But a Robotech movie will most likely completely ignore the themes from them (especially Plus). Oerwinde Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 So Kevin McKidd semi-confirmed his involvement in Thor. He won't be playing Thor, but says he is being considered for "The other male lead" Which would obviously be Loki. I think he'd rock as Loki, but the other revelation, that they're looking for someone more around the 19-20 year old range for Thor, doesn't look good. Especially if Kevin McKidd is Loki, as Loki is supposed to look up to Thor at first. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Azure79 Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 They should totally make a movie based on Marvel Zombies. Ahh Robotech...brings back some good memories. One of my mom's friend's high school son had all the episodes on tape. He let me take the entire box back home and I squandered an entire summer just watching one episode after the next. Except for when my mother chased me out of the house. Of course all I remember know, vaguely, is some pilot named....Rick(?), a lady pilot leading some squadron, and totally awesome motrocycles that changed into exo-armor. Ok, off to wiki to refresh my memory. Hmm..is there like a DVD set for Robotech. I would not mind watching it all over again.

Tale Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 (edited) Protoculture Collection is the entire remastered set? Well, crap, I have the first 4 parts (discs 1- seperate. I'd save only about 10 dollars getting the second half over getting the set. Edited September 8, 2007 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

astr0creep Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I'm very excited about Indy 4. Apparently it will be about this. Seems possibly too close to the "Nexus" of ST: Generations. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Oerwinde Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ir...ge_trailer.html Iron Man teaser is up. Basically its the footage shown at Comic Con, only in decent quality. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Tale Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Dragon Wars or D-War is coming out Friday. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-War I hear it's awful, but the Korean nationalism pushing it is why it did so well. The premise is neat, but I'll have to wait for some reviews before I see it. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Oerwinde Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 Not a movie, but I saw the pilot for Journeyman. Not sposed to air til the 24th, I enjoyed it. Mondays will definitely be the highlight of the week for TV for me with Heroes and that. It looks like it won't be serialized, but will have an overall story arch. Basically its about a guy who makes little trips through time, altering the lives of those he encounters for good or bad, he doesn't know why or how he does it, but the time he's gone in the past registers in the present, so he'll be missing for days in the present, which puts a strain on his relationships. I hope this does well, as I'd like to see how things unfold. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Tel Aviv Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 A poor mans Quantum Leap, surely. I bet this journeyman fella doesn't even cross dress.
Oerwinde Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 A poor mans Quantum Leap, surely. I bet this journeyman fella doesn't even cross dress. Nope, but his trips do happen at random times, leaving him to wake up in the middle of a park in his underwear, or be pulled out of his moving car leaving it to go out of control into a telephone pole. Blarghagh Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Hah! Well, sadly, with Snakes on a Plane I said it during the hype period but then when the trailer was released I noticed "hey, this isn't tongue in cheeck silly, it's just stupid..."
Pop Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Guillermo Del Toro's reportedly gotten the go-ahead to make his long-gestating At the Mountains of Madness movie. There's really no better director to tackle Lovecraft at this point, IMO. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
