Suture Up Your Future - Queens of the Stone Age

...overall i have to say the new album is...disappointing

it seems like they sacrificed their sound for ironic and awkward timing...so yes, many of the songs have a unique melody, just not the sound that QotSA made great over the first 3 albums (four if you're like me and thought Lullabies was a good album)

Pink Floyd - Sheep

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

He makes me down to lie

Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.

With bright knives He releaseth my soul.

He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.

He converteth me to lamb cutlets,

For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.

When cometh the day we lowly ones,

Through quiet reflection, and great dedication

Master the art of karate,

Lo, we shall rise up,

And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.

You know, I'd probably find that funnier - sadder -, if was, like, uh, hip to the context; what's that song they dubbed over it?

It

Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus

I absolutely loathe Manson, but I have to admit he has very good voice. And this one song which reaches for perfectness.

On other hand, it IS cover so... :ermm:

Damn good cover nonetheless :ermm:

As a joke it was pretty good.

If ever you needed someone, I'm the one you should call

I'll be there to pick you up, if ever you should fall

If you got problems, I can solve'em, they big or they small

That other **** you be with ain't bout ****

I'm your friend, your father, and confidant

... BITCH!

(Sadly not in the remix.)

Ridiculous.

Recently bought the new Black Sabbath: The Dio Years cd on impulse, enjoyed it immensely so I figured I'd buy the greatest hits collection of the earlier Sabbath with Ozzy. Holy crap, its not even close to as good as the Dio stuff. I'm not quite regretting the purchase, but I can't believe the jump in quality.

2Pac - Life Goes On; the closest Pac got to brilliance, next to having Big sleep on his couch (and chilling with Tim Roth - uh, or maybe not).

Jay-Z - Can I Live; I remember reading in the Village Voice about his Reasonable Doubt ten year anniversary concert; dude hauled an orchestra - surprisingly, from what I've seen on youtube, it seemed pretty cool; I wonder if it's been released on DVD.

Binary Star - Wolfman Jack; if I remember correctly, One Be Lo's first album was also pretty good.
