Pop Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 o i c. Gallery is totally useable but nne of my 10mb + songs made it. Oh well! Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
LadyCrimson Posted November 23, 2006 Author Posted November 23, 2006 (edited) I got it...should work now. Apparently a given image size restriction also applies to the media files for non-Admins - thus the 900kb was applying to the sounds for the usergroup but not for me - I thought there was no size restriction for them. <_< I increased the apparently user-universal upload limit to 10MB. Is that big enough? Edit: Apparently not, lol. ReEdit: Increased to 16MB, updated the first post. Edited November 23, 2006 by LadyCrimson “Things are as they are. Darth Drabek Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I have successfully added two musical performances of dubious entertainment value. Uploading was a breeze, LC. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
LadyCrimson Posted November 27, 2006 Author Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) Very fun, Drabek. Pop, I moved your song uploads to the Misc folder under Music-we-listen-to. I'd prefer to keep non-member recorded music seperate. Edit: Someone mentioned avatars - I made a category for avatars/small funnies under Misc that can be directly hotlinked. Please keep uploads to that folder small....thanks. :D Edited November 27, 2006 by LadyCrimson “Things are as they are. thepixiesrock Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I'll post the song me and Blank made after I show him the final project. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Blank Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I'll post the song me and Blank made after I show him the final project. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Word.
Rosbjerg Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Now I'm uploading.. so I hope there's a flood control on the site! Fortune favors the bald.
Darth Drabek Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 The gallery seems to be down, at least for me. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Rosbjerg Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 yep me too .. probably nothing to worry about though.. Fortune favors the bald.
LadyCrimson Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Sorry, I've been away. Just curious, did you guys get an actual error message of some kind or was it just not loading? My webhost does daily backups every night (pacific time) and sometimes that causes intermittent but usually very brief slowdowns/delays etc. “Things are as they are. Rosbjerg Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) I've just added a few pics in the 'original art' section - hope you enjoy! Edited December 9, 2006 by Fionavar Fortune favors the bald.
Pop Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Threw in a bunch of stuff from the zoo. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
vesselle Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 i'm having problems with the frapper system. the upload button doesn't work. it's just not clickable. any ideas? V***V well whatever nevermind
LadyCrimson Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 There's some kind of odd bug w/the gallery software that doesn't like server PHP4 upgrades. I went to PHP5 and it's working but I have to try to patch the gallery software so it may stutter a bit more until I get it done. “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 After the experience of horrible 4images support when I needed it, I'm considering switching gallery software, which would be somewhat easier to use/configure - and would let users have/create their own 'albums' if they wished, as opposed to just uploading to pre-made ones. But that would mean some downtime and re-registering w/the new program; there aren't too many using the gallery right now tho, so I kind of figure it wouldn't bother anyone much... but thought I'd ask first? It wouldn't happen for a little while at any rate. “Things are as they are. Tel Aviv Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Booyah! As you can see smiling doesn't quite seem to work. Also if you're wondering why I appear to be standing in some kind of vacuum, that's actually a pic from last weeks trip to purgatory.
LadyCrimson Posted March 17, 2007 Author Posted March 17, 2007 Update: Gallery2 sucks too much server CPU to be acceptable in my book, and the other large opensource gallery won't allow for hotlinkable thumbnails vs. the full size image, the way I prefer to do. I'd really like to be able to give users control over creation/administration of their own albums but for the moment I'm sticking w/the current gallery pending further research. “Things are as they are. Rosbjerg Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 How many here on Obsidian is on Facebook as well? Fortune favors the bald.
Laozi Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Kor and Surrept are both on it, and that doesn't mean they're totally gay. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Kor Qel Droma Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Kor and Surrept are both on it, and that doesn't mean they're totally gay. We're on each others' friends list! Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Gfted1 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Huh, I wonder what ever happened to LC. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
LadyCrimson Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 She's very busy with non-internet things. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
thepixiesrock Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 That's what she said Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. Humodour Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 How many here on Obsidian is on Facebook as well? I am but I prefer to keep Facebook for RL use - i.e. separate from my internet persona. I'd imagine that's a truism for most people.
Musopticon? Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I'm in Facebook as well. Just search for "Jaakko Hukka". Hahah, I'd be so bummed if I was from a more central country and did this. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
