Yes. :p

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Yes. :)

Afraid not my little BioFan. The Fallout games win that by a long shot.

Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

No.

It doesn't have screaming alphas, shotgun blasts to the groin, or lasers.

Or plasma shots to the groin.

Too bad NWN doesn't have critical shots.

That would be funny.

"The Ice Mephit dies melting due 142 points of fire damage to the groin."

That would be a fun little message and animation.

Or...

"You cast Magic Missile at Klauth's groin. He takes 34 points of damage, bend over and dies due to embarassment as his clutches his privates."

"Too bad NWN doesn't have critical shots."

Um... Yes, it does.

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

It has basic critical hits but no additional animations or specific areas that can be targeted like Fallout. One of the weakness of the d20 System it doesn't have a proper called shots system.

"specific areas that can be targeted"

Um... sure it does.

Called shot (arms), and Called shot (legs).

Sure, things don't explode like FO; but NWN does have its version of called shot and critical hits.

Of course, called shot (either version) will NOT be in NWN2. BOOOO! More options taken away from fighters.... :):( Might as well go play the IE games where (not counting TOB) all they could do is swing their weapons.

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

The Called Shots ability in NWN is a joke and not a part of DnD.

  • Author

Why is it a joke? It's awesome. And, it is part of D&D. Called shots in some form have almsot always been partt of D&D (at least since 2nd E like over a decade ago)...

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

2e was ADnD. 3e and above is DnD. Its not a part of the baseline rules of DnD. In case you forgotten Baseline rules of DnD are in the SRD.

  • Author

It's in tHE DMG I believe as an option. Not the exact way it's done in NWN; but it's there.

Either way it's irrelevant because the called shots only add to the gameplay since it gives more options in how to approach combat. That is ALWAYS a good thing.

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

If you say so, but there were a ton of option s Bioware could have implemented in the baseline rules without the need to make stuff up.

my pictures are gone! someone stole them! :'(

They were moved to a new thread.

:o

Look for a thread created by you talking about NWN portraits.

I could link it, but I'm a bit lazy at the moment >_<"

The update includes visible cloaks as well as more scripting stuff, and spell fixes/updates!

Good stuff!!!

I don't see how that should get me excited... NWN is old, rife for the dinosaur age...even your silly cloaks can't change that.

Bring on Dragon Age already!!!

Yeah!
