Waddya mean meh? There goes TF2 and Portal

It'll come eventually.

I no longer absolutely need to get something as soon as humanly possible.

Besides, would you rather they stick with the original release date and just have them release it regardless of the state it is in?

Maybe they're waiting for Vista ...

Maybe they're waiting for Vista ...

That's an intriguing thought - perhaps unfortunate - but it does have a ring of plausibility to it ...

As an expansion to a game made for XP though?

They're releasing it on ever console simultabeously, as well, though ...

Fair enough.

Good, it gives me more time to buy a new computer. >_<

Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

I wonder if they would have been faster shipping a proper HL3 rather than Ep1+2+3? Ep1, while good and very polished, was compared to HL2 a totally forgettable experience.

Nah, a true HL3 should use a new engine and be released in 5 years.

But that's not going to happen. Ep1+2+3 = HL3, so to speak. I hope Valve don't abandon full price Retail games, and I wish they'd create a new IP. And with that I mean not mere silly puzzle games like Portal. Half-Life, while an awesome franchise, needs a break.

But good to know there's still Monolith who churns out awesome FPS.

A break? What with the 2 games released in the span of 6 years? :(

Valve have hinted recently that they might not be planning a HL3 due to the sheer volume of work that was involved in HL2 and the time it took. It may be episodes all the way, baby.

We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.

But they aren't CRPGs.

Episodic content sucks. You're so quickly through it that you even didn't realise you played it. I find it already cruel enough that full price games only offer me 10 hours of gameplay.

At least you aren't paying full price for them.

Who knows what they're up to with Ep2? They also include TF2 and Portal, what if I don't want those? Would I get a cheaper package without that mini-game crap?

I could totally imagine the amount of creative destruction caused with this, what with shooting cars right through portals to give the enemy a little surprise.

And multiplayer? Well that would just be awesomely mad. Can't imagine being possible with more than something like 4 players at a time though, it would just get too hectic! :p
