Kaftan Barlast Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I spot Scotsmen. This far I may have seen as many as two or maybe even three. It's very tricky, you see, because most Scotsmen wear disguises nowadays to blen in among normal, non-scottish people. Blarghagh Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) Cartooning, writing, cycling, listening to music and playing guitar. Also, reading all kinds of random stuff on wikipedia is confirmed to be a useless yet fun time to spend an hour or two for me. EDIT: And boozing up is fun too. Edited August 7, 2006 by TrueNeutral

Draken Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Also, reading all kinds of random stuff on wikipedia is confirmed to be a useless yet fun time to spend an hour or two for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me too. I play video games, read books, watch TV...your standard stuff. I also enjoy drinking, smoking, and sex. Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
Krookie Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Hockey : Started playing in 1st grade. I play for 3 or 4 teams depending on what time ofy year it is. Made the highschool team as an eightgrader last year, sure I got my shoulder dislocated due to the fact I was playing with 12th graders 4 times my size, but atleast I can say I was there for the championship. Airsoft : Picked up my first AEG last year. I'm addicted to it now. Girls: Well, you know.
Draken Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Oh. Hockey. I'd like to mention that I play a mean field hockey. Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
Darth Drabek Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 The acquisition of new music, and the subsequent listening to that music. Also: My woman (more than just a hobby, but she does occupy quite a bit of my time ), videogames, guitar, the occasional Stephen King novel and browsing the Way Off-Topic forum here. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Musopticon? Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Yes, acquisition of music by any means necessary is a fine hobby. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Darth Drabek Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 p.sMy team were beaten 3-1 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm guessing we're not talking about American football here. Funny, I still always think of football as soccer. Blame my filthy capitalist upbringing, I guess. I watch (American) college football a lot when it's in-season. Used to play high school ball, let myself get quite out of shape in my college years though. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
astr0creep Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Video games. Watching, writing movies. Cooking(sometimes) I used to build models of Star Trek and Star Wars ships and vehicles. I suppose I should start again as this relaxes me immensely, but there is no time anymore I write short stories as well. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Blarghagh Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Wait, wait, wait. Relationships are a hobby now?
Xard Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I play football (it is not soccer ) I write stories and little bit poetry too I watch anime I watch good tv-shows like Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Deadwood etc. I read speculative fiction ^_^ I play video games, especially RPG's [insert other generic nerd stuff here] How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
Darth Drabek Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Wait, wait, wait. Relationships are a hobby now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hobbies are things you spend time doing. A lot of my time is spent on maintaining relationships (mostly one, although I spend time keeping my parents in the loop as well), so I listed it - with the disclaimer that relationships are "more than just a hobby." I can see your point though. Maybe we shouldn't list relationships because they are common to everyone. Hobbies are generally more person-specific. (I just said something was generally more specific. Does that even make sense?) baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Hurlshort Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Hockey, hockey, and hockey. (Ice) When I am not playing hockey, I am usually thinking about it. Of course, video games and reading are pretty big hobbies too. I also consider teaching a hobby in a way, as even when I'm not on the clock I'm often doing something for my classroom skills.
Hurlshort Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Oh, and my marriage is a full time gig. It's definitely not a hobby.
Volourn Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) Sports (mostly basketball though it's been awhile), D&D, video games, card games, internet, television, writing/reading, porn, and swimming. Edited August 7, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Kaftan Barlast Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) Look, people. Not everything you do between wasting your time here and attending school/work, counts as a hobby. Practising sports for example does not, and neither does watching television or recording your own amateur erotica. Those are simply things you do to amuse yourselves. Personally, I dont do anything that counts as a hobby. I paint and doodle, but that part of my education so it doesnt count. Hurlshort Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I would say a sport is a hobby unless you are using it to further some goal, such as getting a scholarship or going pro. If you just play to play, it's a hobby.
