Hurlshort Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey all, I need a good fake news source. I'm doing a workshop on unreliable sources. It would be great if it was on religion in some aspect. I've already pulled something from the Onion, but I also need something that would likely fool a group of middle schoolers, and would be age appropriate. If you can think of any, I'd really appreciate a link. Thanks!

mr insomniac Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey all,I need a good fake news source. I'm doing a workshop on unreliable sources. It would be great if it was on religion in some aspect. I've already pulled something from the Onion, but I also need something that would likely fool a group of middle schoolers, and would be age appropriate. If you can think of any, I'd really appreciate a link. Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Weekly World News I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
SteveThaiBinh Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 The Rockall Times Not all the stories would fool your middle-schoolers or be age-appropriate, but dig around and you should find something. I haven't looked at it for a while, so I can't think of anything in particular to recommend, sorry. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 What was that newspaper in So I Married An Axe Murderer? The one the mother called "The Paper"? Was that the weekly world?

Thanks Steve and Insomniac. Hades, I agree with you, but I don't think the kids would get it

Colrom Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 FOX, ABC, CNN, BBC will do well - or just go right to the source AP and the GOP. As dark is the absence of light, so evil is the absence of good. If you would destroy evil, do good. Evil cannot be perfected. Thank God.
