Darth Drabek Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 The Killers - Indie Rock and Roll <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WTF? Jeff Buckly -- Corpus Christi Carol <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I love how monstrously cliched the song is. They took a classic chord progression and beat it to death with overdone vocals and romanticizing. Is it satire? They've sold a bazillion records, so the Killers aren't the epitome of "Indie Rock" anymore - if they ever were - so are they taking the piss out of Pavement? Are they satiring Sebadoh? But mostly I think I like it because I'm a sucker for big key changes, and they don't get much bigger than this one. Franz Ferdinand - Outsiders baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
