June 9, 200619 yr Author Ep3 is better than Ep4. Ep4 is pretty dated and corny. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
June 10, 200619 yr To think of a scene from Episode III where a shift in Force understanding occurs, is when Yoda has some sort of mental traumatic dissonance when Anakin manifests his DS. Not too sure why, but sort of a turn in SW saga. Deep from within... Victims live a life of fantasy. Some see salvation as an act of God, a few look within for it. 朱宣澧
June 10, 200619 yr I can hardly contain my rage when I see that Ep3 has more votes than Ep4.What are you people smoking??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...it wasn't that great... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was. One of the many main mistakes of prequels is that everything is so plastic. Good using of special effects: LotR-movies. Bad use of special effects: PT Most annoying thing of PT is that it could've been so much better edit: Ep4 rules the day Raven Edited June 10, 200619 yr by Xard How can it be a no ob build. June 10, 200619 yr I can hardly contain my rage when I see that Ep3 has more votes than Ep4.What are you people smoking??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you are looking at the OT through the rose colored glasses of your childhood....it wasn't that great, it was just different than anything else. The ESB, however, was a great film, no question. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When Ep3 was released on DVD I watched the entire saga chronologically, starting with Ep1. I'm sure many of you did the same. What struck me the most was how much better the PT was when viewed as one film. And what impressed me the most was how good the OT actually is. I mean, in every single aspect, from the believability of special effects to acting and character development, the OT is superior in every single way to any PT film. Sure the OT is corny. And how is the PT less corny exactly? By the way I voted ESB. That's a no brainer. But Ep4 is still better then Ep3. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
June 11, 200619 yr ... mmm... I think each movie has its good moments, but I prefer The Phantom Menace for the battle against Darth Maul, ROTS for Obi vs Ani and finally The Return of the Jedi for the battle against the Death Star and Luke vs Vader... Star Wars rules 4 ever!
September 29, 200619 yr I likem all. But I liked A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back the most. A New Hope has a quality that many people feel when they first see it but can not identify. After that they see the other showy movies and pass it over - this is just my oppinion. Empire Strikes Back sets the stage with Vader, enough said. This is just my oppinion.
October 3, 200619 yr revenge of the sith - i think this is the best by far bc of the smooth lightsaber balltles, (yoda v emperor, obi v anakin, and obi v greivous) all were ok except obi & anakin, wich was fantastic.
October 3, 200619 yr I'll give the 'entertaining saber battles' to RotS too - and to the Maul bits. Decades of special effects improvements helps there. But I still laugh uncontrollably during the Sidious/Yoda frisbee-tossing fight in the council meeting hall. Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

October 15, 200619 yr I remember the first time I saw the ESB in the theater. It was my first Star Wars film and may have been the first sci-fi film I saw on the silver screen. It absolutely blew me away. I mean, Imperial Walkers marching through the snow? That was not something movie-going audiences were used to. The ESB is still one of the most definitive space adventure films to date, IMO. What I like about the prequels is that it shows us the Star Wars universe in its "regular" state of being: the Senate rules, Jedi are the FBI, Coruscant is key, etc. The prequels are there to help paint a more complete picture of the setting. There is no way they can compete toe-to-toe with the originals...they are not meant to. And there is no way a human-vs-droid war can have as much drama as a human-vs-human one. Now, Revenge of the Sith was a very good film....one that could have used about another 30 minutes of screen time to help justify Anakin's fall and one that would have been better off with about half as much CG. (a side note: KOTOR takes place inside this "regular" state of affairs...we need stories that maybe are not quite as epic and that take advantage of this regular state of affairs....we need to be super-sleuths, not super-saviors).
