karka Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 It's bad... http://xbox.ign.com/articles/698/698434p1.html
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I expect it will pop up in a couple of years on the next gen machines. I was pretty suprised Nintendo didnt do the same with Twilight Princess. But Nintendo does seem to show more integrity than most. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Atreides Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I feel a little sad for Blizzard. However it's probably of its decision making to drop games that has ensured that the titles its released are blockbusters. Spreading beauty with my katana.
Judge Hades Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Ghost was Starcraft in name only. It deserves the axe.
Hurlshort Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 *Places his Starcraft: Ghost expectations in a grave next the Warcraft Adventures*
Diogo Ribeiro Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I would like to express surprise at this announcement but that would be against my prevalent cynicism.
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Looks like they were pretty far along with it. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Atreides Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Spoiler: We all die. Spreading beauty with my katana.
Lyric Suite Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 *Places his Starcraft: Ghost expectations in a grave next the Warcraft Adventures* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unlike Warcraft Adventures, i have no interest for this game so i'm not really affected. Indeed, the fact they haven't actually canned it completely bothers me.
Jumjalum Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 It's a smart move by Blizzard that they just don't release games if they aren't AAA standard. They can obviously afford to and it gives them pretty much the best reputation in the business. Still a little sad to see SC:G go down the tubes. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
Dark Moth Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 This is disappointing. But not surprising. They've only delayed this game about 150 times already. At least there's a potential we'll see it for next-gen platforms. Or maybe they'll decid to work on Starcraft: 2 instead. *crosses fingers*

It would be absurd to think they have kept their RTS people at idle since Frozen Throne...
Dark Moth Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 One would hope. Brood War came out in 1998 and ended in a major cliffhanger. It's been almost 10 years since, and no confirmation of a sequal yet.
Pope Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Smart move one could expect from Blizzard. I think no company has higher standards than them. It's a way to ensure their fanbase keeps trusting them. One lesser game and it's all down the drain. I'm not saying I was looking forward to Ghost, but I was curious at the least. I was expecting it to be some kind of bridge between the RTS games, as I'm almost convinced they're working on StarCraft 2 at the moment. Hope this doesn't delay SC2. On the other hand, delays at Blizzard usually imply good things.
Bulgarian Jedi Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I just wonder; for how much time have Blizzad worked on this game? I think it is more than 2 years now. Нека Силата винаги бъде с теб! Darque Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I hate blizzard and will never buy a game from them again until it has Starcraft in the title.

Judge Hades Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 WoW is a MMORPG, right? Its a lesser game by default.

kumquatq3 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 alot of people are saying this is a "smart move" I call it the bad choice with all the other choices being terrible.
Hurlshort Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Hehe, people are calling WoW a lesser game...that's funny. It has 5 million subscribers. That's basically the size of Chicago. Blizzard convinced an entire metropolitian city to pay them $15 a month. I'm pretty sure that is a successful business venture.
Judge Hades Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 That doesn't mean its a good game. It just means that there are a lot of stupid people out there.
