November 10, 200520 yr I often find myself playing LS . But recently i went DS male and it was really fun. I still think I like LS more because i like the whole hero motif.
November 10, 200520 yr I said gray, because lightside is just...too much for nothing. darkside on the other side is just stupide, doing evil things without any reason, good reason to get killed.
November 10, 200520 yr Totally lightside for me I like being the big hero...lol Seriously, I just like playing as LS, as I am not a nasty person by nature...plus I would hate to be cruel to some of the characters :"> I will have a go at DS (male) at some point, just to see what its like...after I have another go as a LS female, lol
November 10, 200520 yr I'd rather stay grey but playing DS is a good stress releaser when you can be mean, evil to pixel people instead of the real thing.
November 10, 200520 yr I don't know why, but I always end up as a lightside character. I have only once played through a DS male storyline, just to see what the difference was. I play as a consular, and with the KotOR II system of high charisma=less force point cost, I never saw any reason to go DS. A good LS character can dish out as much damage as a DS character, if their stats are right. Edit: Grey was never appealing either because no attribute bonuses could be received Edited November 10, 200520 yr by Akhan225
November 10, 200520 yr I almost always go LS . I am just built that way. I hate some of the DS things, and I like Mira better than Hancake. But I have gone DS male before, and got to level 43 via the Korriban tomb hissis thing !
November 10, 200520 yr I am always lightside. I like the DS, but I hate Hanhar, though the handmaden looks very hot as DS (w00t) (Very sexy!) (Marine Axiom) Sweat Dries Blood Clots Bones Heal SUCK IT UP!
November 10, 200520 yr I prefer the lightside and usually play it first. But I actually like Hanharr and his Wookie Rage... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
November 10, 200520 yr I mainly play grey in most of my games. I've played a couple of LS & DS games just to be different. November 10, 200520 yr I like playing Neurtal the best, just because I can take both sides since either one is fun enough. EDIT: Original Post: I like playing Neurtal the best just because I can kill someone and help someone else. Edited November 10, 200520 yr by Ioini
November 10, 200520 yr I like playing Neurtal the best just because I can kill someone and help someone else. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Another benefit is it won't cost you as much to use darkside powers. November 10, 200520 yr The only issue I have with Neutral is because there is no prestige class or that many bonuses with the Exile's crystal. Edited November 10, 200520 yr by Ioini
November 10, 200520 yr To get a prestige class play DS or LS whichever class you want and once you get it go back to gaining or subtracting points so you are back in the neutral area. November 10, 200520 yr None of them. I simply choose what l would do in real life. I do not classify my character as light sided or dark sided, though l have to say he tends to get light sided. Edited November 10, 200520 yr by germi91
November 10, 200520 yr I prefer playing Light Side. It is much more challenging than frying all enemies around you with Force Spam(a.k.a. Force Strom). It also gives you a nice fuzzy feeling in your soule whan you do a nice deed. Doing good deeds is also a great stress releaver, in my opinion. And beeing LS does not prevent me from having Force Spam. Last, but not least, your character does not look like a decaying corpse when playing LS. Do a dancer outfit comparison of LS and DS and you will see. Нека Силата винаги бъде с теб! I reject your reality, and substitute it with my own. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted. Those are the Neutral personal crystal listings on this guide: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/s..._ii_crystal.txt As for me, personally, I enjoy playing LS, as it's more like the movies, where the heroes are the focus. However, it's damn good fun to go DS and Lightning Storm the hell out of a room full of enemies. EDIT: Added spoiler tags, since this was moved out of the Spoilers forum. November 11, 200520 yr Author I really thought the poll would be more even but lightside is pretty much dominating . I usually play LS cause the best romance options are usually LS what was your guys major reason of going LS?
November 11, 200520 yr Light Side. Most LS Force powers are defensive so there is no involvement of saves from enemies when activating them. My first PC was an LS Consular. Deep from within... Victims live a life of fantasy. Some see salvation as an act of God, a few look within for it. 朱宣澧
November 11, 200520 yr I really thought the poll would be more even but lightside is pretty much dominating . I usually play LS cause the best romance options are usually LS what was your guys major reason of going LS? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was lucky enough to be age 5 or 6 or so when the very first "Star Wars" movie came out: Right at the beginning of the mythos; before there were any other movies, books, action figures, pez dispensers, etc. And I was magnificently blown away at the spectacle and sound. From the get-go, it was about good triumphing over evil against all odds. The music really reinforced this ... I was scared by the badguys, and thrilled by the goodguys. I was cheering for them when they marched in for their victory medals. I got dizzy when Vader's fighter spun away, out of control. Later I would discover that it had a Jungian psychological basis, rooted in cross-cultural mythology and archetypes. But, back then, it was as if all the bedtime stories had coalesced into something more amazing than I had imagined, on the big screen. Long story short: I was an impressionable kid, and had no idea that the badguys could be wickedly cool until I was much older. So, when it's a Star Wars game, I usually think "What would Kenobi do?" Rather than "What would Vader do?" Edited November 11, 200520 yr by Vashanti
November 11, 200520 yr LS. Helping others out and being a nice guy feels good. I also have this guilty conscience with doing DS things even though it's just a game. And DS so far is just too "bully-ish" for my liking. I'd rather be a clever, manipulative, diabolical mastermind than some brutal kitten-drowner.
November 11, 200520 yr Lightside for me. I try to think of KotOR as a movie, and it makes more sense [to me] if the hero is a good guy.

There are lots of spots where manipulation or coercion rather than psychopathic violence net you DS shifts.
