Episode3 DVD

Anyone here who hasn't bought it yet? :p

I like the first deleted scene the best....especially the funny bit where Anakin & Obi-Wan are using hand signals to decided a path of action...too bad they didn't have it in the movie.

That's gotta hurt...

And I'm not trying to be mean here...but I am curious....Does Lucas have some health issue or something? His neck has this really disconcerting appearance.

Must get.  I'm waiting for a 6-film box.

Ya, I'm waiting for the worse-ever edition too, I don't even own any star wars movies on DVD.

I do own them on Laser disc though

It's because his chin seems to be shrinking or something.

Skin sags as we age and/or gain weight, that's normal. Having a 'short' chin affects it too, sure. But if it was just that, I'd expect something more like this:

nochin2.jpg

Lucas' just looks swollen - look at the bottom line of his neck...it's like the people in The Stand with the Superflu or something. Maybe it's some really weird form of goiter.

Is there a Qui-Gon Jin cameo in the deleted scenes?

If you were hoping for more explantion about the 'he's learned how to defeat death' thingamijig, nope.

There's the 1st long scene I mentioned, then a few short ones showing that Padme (and the Council/Senate/somebody like that) originally had a bit more to do in Ep.3, and a very short 'Yoda landing on his planet of Exile' bit, and...er...I don't remember the 6th one off-hand.

EDIT: The one's with Padme, they were all fairly short, but were interesting character-wise...and included a little bit more of Mr. Cackling Evil Lord trying to influence Mr. Soon-to-be-BBQ'd Jedi by sowing psychological mistrust.

what's wrong with his neck?

It doesn't show up as well on the stills...but trust me, it's weird when you're watching it...once you notice it anyway.

Nah , if I do buy any of the new ones it will be when all three are released together on blu ray or something.

Attack of Clowns was on TV last night still cringeworthy as ever, but at least I could turn it off this time.

I have to agree with Volourn.  Bioware is pretty much dead now.  Deals like this kills development studios.

It's like there's something in it ready to explode out :ermm:

His head has gotten so fat he had an inflatable rubber ring put in his neck to keep it upright.

Haha! Good one...perhaps I should have said...has anyone here not *seen* it... :D

I haven't seen Episode III. I was considering renting/buying the DVD, but Attack of the Clones was on TV last night. I think I'll wait until the price is reduced.

I heard some second-hand rumour that George Lucas is making a prequel-to-the-prequels trilogy starring himself as a young Jabba the Hutt.

In the original screenplay Jaba was a fatbloke. Perhaps that was his "vision" all along.

I'm a little pissed off right now. Our store had Ep3 on for like 25 bux, minus a ten percent discount. The competition next door has a 'budget saver' card system where you by X amount of groceries and get discounts on future items. Now they have the DVD on for 9.99 with five cards. OUr store matched the price this morning, but I was told I couldn't buy one for 10 bux and return it with my older receit. Can I blame George Lucas?
