kirottu Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Oblivion on the X360 will outsell the PC version by a large margin as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now it all makes sense... Can you loan your time machine for me? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not a matter of time travel, it's a matter of common sense. The fanbase for the Elderscrolls III: Morrowind was 3 to 1 on Xbox over PC. Do you honestly think the shift is going to be so drastic that everyone has magically switched platforms? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Difficult to see future is." ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) Good to have you back Potent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cheers, Much been going on in the last couple of months? It's pretty telling how times have changed that I dont feel one iota of exitement for a bioware game anymore Edited October 6, 2005 by ShadowPaladin V1.0 I have to agree with Volourn. Musopticon? Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) Well, Ender had a baby and left, and the whining of fans finally went through Lucas resulting in updated movie and music quality patch. Otherwise, not much. Oh, and check the pnp-forum, a lot going on there. Edited October 6, 2005 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. As for no excitement for Bioware maybe we need to send them some Viagra. It worked for Bob Dole.

Judge Hades Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Well, 30 hours on a console is okay, but I doubt that we will see any Bioware game as long as BG 1 or 2 ever again.
Volourn Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Blame the fans for that. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Why, they aren't making the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If people buy your half arsed efforts then you have no incentive to improve on them. Until there is some decent competition on the RPG front I dont think anything will change. Bioware is a big fish in a little pond but the Koi eat them for breakfast when it comes to numbers. Judge Hades Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I really would like to win the Powerball Lotto. If I had 180 million dollars I would form a CRPG only making software company, hire a staff of 200 or so, and just make 60 to 80 hour long traditional CRPGs right here in the middle of Iowa.
Archmonarch Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 But that brings up an obvious question: Who would want to work in Iowa? " And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had

Epiphany Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 Wonder if they will run out of disk space like the Japanese guys did ? Still if your in the market for 20 hour mini games not such a huge deal I guess <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bethesda didn't seem to have a problem squeezing a 200+ hour game on a DVD-9

Try that with a story based RPG and it's a whole different story. Morrowind is the perfect example of empty space as a time waster just to pad out the playtime figures. Morrowind also dosnt have next gen quality graphics and effects but that should be a no brainer. Edited October 6, 2005 by ShadowPaladin V1.0 I have to agree with Volourn. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) Explain Oblivion then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How exactly ? I think people who enjoy that sort of sandbox game would be better served by an MMPORG. The most noticable thing I can say about it myself is the forests look nice. One thing I did discover is that the 360 version is retailing at Edited October 6, 2005 by ShadowPaladin V1.0 I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Genius
Baley Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) I take it you've played it? The land mass is bigger, but with less factions, skills and wepon types. How can you prove that Oblivion has a lot more content than Morrowind? Are we supposed to believe all the hype? Edited October 6, 2005 by Baley
