Don Chewbacca De La Vega
Don't you find the power of enemies is too low in kotor ? I took a no fighting jedi (very beautiful, 18 in charism and 16 in intelligence), put the difficulty on hard, and there's no problem to kill ALL the enemies !!! I make a point of staying at level 3, I choose the worst weapons, and it's still so easy !!! In kotor 1 it was also easy, but here... there's no limit... Is there a patch to increase difficulty or must I poison my characters ?

Don Chewbacca De La Vega
What ! You met only one difficulty (I'm not over Peragius)
Krookie
The game was far to easy. The storyline is even to easy, picture K2 being a movie. Taking down 3 Sith Lords in under 2 hours? It just doesn't fit.
SteveThaiBinh
Aurora's rebalance mod is supposed to make combat harder for non-combat specialising characters, forcing them to rely on other approaches. I'm sure there's also a mod somewhere to make combat as a whole tougher - check the mods sticky. Good luck. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." GhostofAnakin
What ! You met only one difficulty (I'm not over Peragius) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? You're not over Peragus? Then how did you defeat all 3 Sith Lords? darthbass123
If you put it on difficult, I find it to be much more challenging.
SteveThaiBinh
That's a question - supposedly the game decides the difficulty of your opponents according to your level. If you refuse to level up and keep playing the whole game at level three, would the game keep throwing you level three opponents? Or would it take into account your experience increases as well as your official level? "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." darthbass123
I think the enemys would be strong according to your exp. rather than your level.

mrchallenge
I think regular enemies like sith soldiers should stay easy because in the movies, Jedi's can take out multiple stormtroopers in a matter of seconds. In episode III, even the little kid Jedi played by GL's son took out a few troopers rather easily before being blasted. It only takes one swipe of a lightsaber blade to take out a stormtrooper, yet in KOTOR games, it takes a couple of flurries or criticals to take them down. So I think the difficulty level for sith soldiers, and regular guys should stay the same. However........ However, the battle's against some of the "boss characters" is what I have a huge problem with. Darth Nihilus is just way to powerful to be chopped own in 3 rounds. Also, the lightsaber wielding enemies are way to easy. In the Trayus academy, sith marauders, sith lords, sith assasins, sith apprentices, they're a joke. You thougt palpatine killing 3 jedi masters in 3 seconds was bad? How about the Exile cutting through the whole entire student body like a chainsaw through phlegm. That's just ridiculous. They should have made the bosses alot harder. (Although I found Hanharr to be pretty hard using Mira). The jedi masters if you are darkside, seem to be harder than Nihilus for heavan's sake. And the only reason why Sion is remotely hard is because he keeps healing himself.
Don Chewbacca De La Vega
Thanks for your explanations, SteveThaiBinh, I've found a mod which seems to be good. But now I get a little problem : how to install this mod ? The only help at my disposal is the following one : "The first thing you should do is check your SWKOTOR2 directory for an "Override" directory. If you do not have one create it using File-New-Folder in Windows Explorer. There are four different sub folders include in this mod, one for each difficulty setting. Depending on the difficulty level you want copy the file "k_ai_master.ncs" from the appropriate sub folder into your SWKOTOR2/Override directory. As long as this mod is installed it will be active on every save game. It is not necessary to start a new game. If you want to switch difficulty, you have to copy the file "k_ai_master.ncs" from the different sub folder. The new settings will not be in effect until you move to a new area." I don't understand what I really have to do with four FOLDERS (one for each difficulty), each containing one DIRECTORY. Moreover, I get a folder entitled "source scripts". Must I add all this files in the sub folder named "override", which is situated in kotor2's folder ? Do I only need to add all the directories without their folders ? Please HELP !!!! P.S. : my dictionnary doesn't mention the existence of the expression "check something for something". I've never read that before...

Krookie
Sometimes I like to put it on easy just because I'm too lazy to equip shields and suff like that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've never used a shield, or mines in any of my games. In the same move you equip the shield, you can cast force speed, and then use flurry to hack at them.
Calax
I only used a shield on Paragus. Simply because there were enviromental hazards. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Marka Ragnos
yeah, the only time I ever used a shield in either game.
