Forgot about that article. There are some things that are right in there, but there are also a lot of assumptions that are somewhat inaccurate.

Wish Kotor 2 wasnt released for a while either, what a shocking disappointment. I am going to make sure i read review forums before devoting hours of my time to another RPG again.

 

im going to reinstall Fallout 2 to fill that emptiness left behind after i finished kotor2.

 

Hopefully if Fallout 3 ever comes out it wont be restricted by a poor development environment.

Uh, yeah, of course it's true. He is a developer and he said it. Speaking of the obvious; I'd also like to point out that water is wet.

As for the "witty" part, do enlighten me. I don't see it.

TSL wasn't a shocking disappointment. It was just unfinished. Howewer I got angry after all those devs posts, interviews and ramblings saying how TSL will be great & innovative. After all that stuff I felt tricked. I would give Obsidian KOTOR 3 to develop becouse they surely have better ideas than Bioware but also a 4 years of creative freedom.

I wouldn't say shocking either. I would say a mild disappointment, but only at the end of the game.

Strangely enough, KotOR2 never felt like a disappointment to me. I really like the game, I've had a lot of fun playing it and I love some of the things Obsidian has done with it. But the amount of bugs and "missing" features surprised me and annoyed me sometimes.

I think K2 is the best game Ive ever played, but to make a gross understatement, the ending sure could have been a little more elaborate.

 

 

 

edit: Yes, Ive played KoTOR and virtually every major game for the PC since 1993.

K1 wasnt a fun experience for many reasons.

 

1. A twist that you could determine with in game evidence within a a few hours. Then you get to play like a dummy till the game catches up.

 

2. An end boss that cheats to hide the fact he's a wuss.

 

3. Lets not forget him dying on the Leviathon which pretty much killed the credibility of the game from that point on.

Ah, this game is so full of subtleties. My favourite part is the Rodian (sp?) in some cantina.

I mean, the ending is important, I agree, but all things considered, an ending is supposed to be brief.
