November 22, 200421 yr And hopefully not a script that would cause your character to use an inferior version of a feat/force power or queueing up Master Valor/Plague endlessly like in KOTOR1 .
November 22, 200421 yr Ya I think they said there is a couple of new ai scripts, I never really used them in KOTOR People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
November 22, 200421 yr Author Hope we can get further information and confirmation of their effectiveness in playtesting
November 22, 200421 yr Yes, hopefully there will be a script that: 1. Allows NPC Jedi to recognise droids; and 2. Reminds them they possess powers in the Disable Droid tree!
November 24, 200421 yr And hopefully not a script that would cause your character to use an inferior version of a feat/force power or queueing up Master Valor/Plague endlessly like in KOTOR1 . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah... Here's what's in the game: Aggressive - This AI script is pretty much unchanged from the DEFAULT behavior in KotOR1. Ranged Support - This AI script makes it so that the character will stay close to whoever is leading the party. If you set them up with a Ranged Weapon configuration and a Melee weapon configuration, they will stick to using the Ranged weapon set unless they get attacked by an enemy using melee, in which case they will switch to their melee weapons to fight back (to avoid suffering the penalties of using ranged weapons when someone is hitting you with melee). After a round or two of being left alone, they will switch back to ranged weapons. Stationary - This AI mode will stick to using whatever weapons you have them set to use, and will not move from their spot once combat starts. Ideal for characters using ranged weapons that you don't want switching to melee under any circumstances. Grenadier - Same as in KotOR1. Jedi Support - Same as in KotOR1, except they stay within a limited distance from whoever is leading the party. Also, they should no longer keep using buffs over and over again when they've already cast a buff on you. Also, they should use more of the buffs that they've learned, rather than just a limited selection of them. -Akari
November 24, 200421 yr ::bump:: Hopefully people will read this inbetween wondering what type of keychain would be best in the collectors box.
November 24, 200421 yr once again a great post from akari the force is what gives a jedi his power. its an energy field created by all living things. it surrounds us and penetrates us. it binds the galaxy together

November 24, 200421 yr So does this mean the NPCs won't waste every single grenade in your inventory just trying to destroy an enemy who is just about dead anyways? "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
November 24, 200421 yr Well since the Grenadier script is the same according to Akari, they probably will waste your grenades. And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had
November 24, 200421 yr Splendid. I guess that means I won't be setting any of my NPCs to the grenadier script. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
November 24, 200421 yr The ranged support script looks good. I hated having to switch my party members weapons all the time.
November 24, 200421 yr That's good to know, thanks Akari. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
November 24, 200421 yr Who needs scripts when you can micromanage? " - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
November 24, 200421 yr yeah I never really used the scripts neither .. I found it just as easy to control all of them myself! and I felt I had alot better control of the action .. Fortune favors the bald.
November 24, 200421 yr AKRAI IS ALIVE! "Your total disregard for the law and human decency both disgusts me and touches my heart. Bless you, sir." "Soilent Green is people. This guy's just a homeless heroin junkie who got in a internet caf
November 24, 200421 yr AKRAI IS ALIVE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correction: someone using Akari's account is alive. Akari is stored away in that person's cellar. I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
November 24, 200421 yr Hmmm... Akari... ...munch munch munch... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I knew it! Hades_One now has a programmer for his non-Jedi Star Wars crpg. Designers and artists had better watch out!
