20 Levels

Do you think their should be more than 20 levlels, like a regualr rpg such as Diablo, Final Fantasy, or Star Ocean where your ability to level up is unhindered by preset regulations of the game?

more blaster power may actually make you pick the Deflection ac against shots, just a thought.

I dont like thought on having force powers take of Hp or con since this game is a jedi game, therefore alot of exsperience in playing as such sure if it was a all class pick game and with multiplayer, it would be cool but not for singleplayer as jedi.

Honestly fail to see how it would bring any balance, also would make reaching high levels almost impossible if you arent awarded alot of xp for finished quests.

If the increase stat items are remove or made less giving sure that vitality using dmg system would be ok, but while it still to easy to hit high dmg and to little use in having ac it not a good idea.

And yes there very little difference between +5ac or not after 17ac.

As for levels i am okay with larger levels would usually prefer such in exspansions but i am ok with it in main also, as long as story is still inriching as i hear it is.

But do however wish they made DEX more usefull to jedi since in movies it a very important stat, and aside from +ac +reflex it doesnt really add much.

+1/+2ac is very so little a difference you hardly notice it and also reflex is easily replaced by having to -all save items.

Would be nice if Dex had influence on numbers of attacks and deflect blaster shots, given blaster shot dmg is given more dmg.

Seems in logic strengh is more important than dex to a jedi, especially given they wear no armor.

How dex increasing attacks could work, if we assume old AD&D 1d10 initiative, then it could be made such that every increase below 0 initiative roll grants a extra attack that way it wouldnt add to much less you have divine dex of +30-40

maybe not in kotor because ther weren't that many force powers to learn if we went much higher than nearly every force power is learned and that diminishes replayablility

If prestige classes dont give extra force powers, they must give something else worth while, sacrificing either force power feats or force points for.

Otherwise who would pick them over class standard less forced on you, if it anything like nwn prestige classes, i wouldnt even consider taking any aside from stat + prestige classes.

So i for one would love more info on what bonuses that are in prestige classes.

the first option cos u hav the choice to stay at level 20 and stick to the traditional rules, but if you want to have the longevity and extreme personalisation of how ever many levels just go for it!

rpgs are about choice, this is a choice, those who dont want level 20+ characters dont have to have them

Level 30 should be max because I want as much time as possible to play the prestige classes,  level 30 would give enough time to raise your skills so that they'll be more effective because this time skills are going to play a bigger role in the game

Hope it doesnt mean the totally half destroy Sith base with 2 half dead followers as 30lvl with DS path, really hope for once you get station according to lvl or rank.

That would work, if your character isn't strong if you walk into a sith base it will only weak normal sith troopers, but if you have a strong character the sith base will be crawling with dark jedi and advanced sith troopers.

Skills are going to be much more usefull this time example: intead of just letting you see mines awarness now will let you know if someone if lying to you

I even thought lvl 20 was a little excessive ..

I would've been happy with a lvl 15 restriction on KOTOR 1 and then lvl 20 in TSL .. imo going lvl 20+ is just too unrealistic in a SW perspective!

Fortune favors the bald.

Don't care for level cap as long as the enemies keep up with you.

Meaning that the Sith Lords in this game must be much more difficult to defeat than Malak was.

He prays for their beauty not doom

Yes, but there needs to be some form of common sense applied. They are using d20 rules and Star Wars d20 rules state no characters over 20th level. I mean, not even the Icons of the Star Wars universe such as Darth Vader, Yoda, and the Emporer were above 20th level.

Limitations.... LAME

What happened to player freedom???

bah, n00bs

BTW where did it state that

There was no level limit in the original and final D&D system and will never be. The whole reason that people might not want to go past lvl 20 is the chars tends to become way to powerful and the game gets boring. I think the player should still have the freedom to level further if they want to. Thats another reason why Fallout is one of the best rpgs ever. PLAYER FREEDOM. If thats a concept too hard for someone to grasp then they obviouslly never played D&D.
