envida Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 With all the outrage about the relase dates of KOTOR II lately, I'm curious about the people romaing this forums. Are you a PC or Xbox gamer. Since hearing alot from the PC gamers, I get the feeling most people here are PC gamers. Personally I always been a PC gamer (ever since win95), but recently I got a Xbox, now I only play games on Xbox :ph34r:
Forever Cast in Deepest Night Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Eventhough my PC has not been upgraded in 4 years and can barely run anything new or anything old at a decent detail (eg No One Lives Forever 2, Homeworld 2), i am still PC Gamer through and through. None of console controllers feel comfortable in my hands.

Jedi Master D Murda Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I am an Xbox gamer. Also a PS2 and Gamecube gamer. Even though I heard that the graphics on a computer are better than the consoles, with the right equipment, I just don't like the idea of playing video games on a computer.

Maedhros Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I'm both. I play strategy and online games on my 'puter, and fighting, driving, rpg's, 1st person shooters etc etc on my x-box. (Never been a fan of games like Baldur's gate and Icewind Dale. if you're wondering why I play rpg's on my console. )

envida Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 I have played rpg's both on pc and xbox and I actually prefer it on console, mainly because I like to lay down on the couch with a beer and play the game on a big screen tv :D Rpg's are more relaxed with lots of dialogs so I love stretccching out on sofa and playing the game for hours, while on PC I get tired very quickly. First-person shooters on the other hand are better on PC since you have keyboard and mouse.

galenbd Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I'm not sure how much this matters. Until there is little to no money in consoles compared to PCs, this sort of decision is likely. Even if KOTOR II sells 3x as many PC versions as console versions, few companys are going to pass up 25% of their revenue early. Even in my personal finances, that is hard to justify. Whereas I am disappointed that I won't be able to play this game over my Christmas vacation(free time, woo hoo), I will still buy it when it's released for PC.
