Casual forum atmoshere?

Many people have been negative on the Interplay baords without being banned; or being insulted more than usual. Sorry, but the RPGCodex/FO Fanatic crowd give as much as they recieve.

Yeah, because we all know FO Fanatical fans don't act all superior. And, the Interplay baord emmbers had every right to treat the FO fanataics as they did as all I gonna say is that it isn't like the FO Fanatics treated the BIS board members even better. Just read a couple of threads at RPGCodex to see my opint. Every single thread that mentions the BIS boards uaully tends to ends up at 'BIS Board Members are retarded or some other insult". Yeah; but they have no reason to dislike the FO Fanatics. And, it's really no better at NMA.

To put it another way; Theyf eel that Shadow Paladin is the 'poster child" of the BIS Forums. Go figure.

Maybe that do have something to do with little SP and some other IP fanatics that actualy can be down right rude and insulting in discusions, and the less said about SP's arguments in these discussions the better.

Anyway, a lot of the bad posts on IP have to do with some choices IP have done, like pulling the plug on FO3 and make bad console FO games instead, so the way things are on IP board hardly should be any supprise considering the feedback they have had during the years.

Lol I never realised I was this famous. If it continues I'm going to start demanding endorsement fee's :D

Regardless of the reality of the situation. Thats what happens when you cut yourself off from the rest of society and live in your own little commune.

Actually I reply in kind. If people are civil I am civil back to them. B) There is no point challenging peoples opinions, unless those opinions are made on flawed assumpstions that is.

It really just depends on the users - I'd really like to keep the casual atmosphere of the old boards, but some people just like to stir up trouble. Hopefully that will be limited.

Considering that the BIS/Interplay mods were a big part of the problem, I don't hold out much hope for anything but a sterile and lifeless board that is a chore to come to.

Maybe that is what Obsidian wants? It sure seems to be what they are implementing.

Also, this place could stand to be a bit less mindless. Less posts where you don't just state your two cents without reading the thread for the sheer joy of posting, and more well-thought-out posts. You people are mostly guilty of stating hype that's already been sufficiently hyped and giving facts that everybody knows.

Half-thought-out spelling also helps. And, god forbid, fewer smilies?

More posts like Megatron's, really.

You people are mostly guilty of stating hype that's already been sufficiently hyped and giving facts that everybody knows.

Half-thought-out spelling also helps. And, god forbid, fewer smilies?

More posts like Megatron's, really.

If I wanted a more contrived, and contradictory post, I do not think I could find it.

It would also help if you didn't hold an entire conversation over several posts (or in some cases, pages) of a thread. It's a waste of time to read.

I find Megatron's bias overrides his rationale. Not to mention, they're often short, and not well thought out(due to his biases), which is contrary to what you said you wanted.

Anyhow, I come to these boards to chat with people sharing the same interests as me. I also write game reviews for Sweden's biggest online gaming site, so if Obsidian ever posts any news about their project here, I'll be one of the first to know.

I don't think it's a complete waste of time. Mostly, but not complete.

Intrigueing, so you and some others had the "right" to treat others like they were unable to think, that is anything they say can't be true and everything they said needed to be validated with signatures from people in power while whatever you said was laid down as truth whatever it was?

I can admitt that some fansites have been less then polite, and could need to clean up the membership a bit. Profanitys as arguments are never going to win any points, but that did not give you the "right" to do anything. Two wrongs do not make one right.
