If Trump decides to resume the war Eisenkot ain't going to sit it out if asked to join any more than Bibi would.

I'm speculating he'll opt for more of a support role, and just target convenient locations in closer proximity. Stinky will perform the heavy lifting, for what that's worth.

The media here has been casually mentioning the Arab Israelis being excluded from power by everyone, sort of find it funny.

Not sure what that means? Most right-wing parties typically dont want to align with Arab parties in the same way Arab parties dont want to form coalitions with them

But if you want to end Netanyahu's coalition you wont have a choice. So again it goes back to the same reality, compromises have to be made because of how people voted because there is no majority

The voting predictions were more or less accurate and 91% of the votes counted. Netanyahu block has 53 seats, the opposition has 48 and the Arab Israeli have 19. So the 2 main parties are far from the 61 majority

The only way you wont end up aligning with the Arab parties is somehow creating coalitions between the 2 main blocs but that's highly unlikely

Yes there are obvious and real differences between the 2 blocks and what they believe and I have mentioned several

The war with Iran and should it be fought again is just one of them

But all parties take Israeli security seriously

Big vote today, finally the midterms have arrived dancing

This will be an overall judgement on Trumps policies, I predict the GOP will get a hammering but I will comment more on the reasons once its over and we know the results

Overall, $7.4 billion has spent on this election. I almost think that people are getting used to stinky's nonsense election claims. His attempts to throw some of the votes have been summarily tossed out of court, and haven't received as much press coverage as before. Or maybe it's just my perception of events.

In my state we vote mainly by post, and I dropped mine in the ballot box two weeks ago.

I'm really interested in seeing how large of a blue wave we actually get, and how the GOP and Trump will position themselves against each other.

Are you prepared to say who you voted for, the Dems or GOP lol

Of course I respect the fact some people prefer to keep their vote decision secret which is also fine?

Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved - indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

The midterms has become more of a disaster for the GOP than assumed

The polling was more or less accurate which makes a change

The reasons how the Dems won Congress and what created Trumps complete collapse of popularity after his resounding presidential victory will be several realities and some of them will be subjective and sensationalized

But the most significant ones must be

  • The war in Iran : No consistent objectives leading to a prolonged conflict and that having a direct influence on energy prices and cost of living in the USA

  • Corruption: Endless stories about things like crypto deals and the WH and inner circle being involved. Most Americans are feeling the economic pressure and you see elites associated with Trump making millions

  • ICE domestic policies : Far too heavy handed and draconian around how they did there important job. This alienated the important Hispanic voting block. That's how Texas went blue

  • MAGA vs MIGA : The perception and reality of this. This would include things like the Epstein files and how Massie lost in Kentucky

Its not enough in the US anymore to have a loyal base, they cant win elections for you irrespective if you a Dem or GOP. You need to convince large numbers of undecided and independent voters who make up close to 45% of registered voters to vote for you

But in summary very disappointing result for the GOP but not unexpected

What's the point when they'll elect an even bigger moron as president in 4/8 years.

I think this is possibly the most humiliating election loss in recent history, perhaps in the history of the US.

Losing Texas like this may be the death kneel for the Gang of Pedophiles nationally. Logistically it's harder to imagine a worse disaster for them than a competitive Texas, Florida just isn't a real substitute for a big red state.

It is nice to see some younger and more represensitive political faces make successful runs for Congress. The body is getting pretty old and stodgy, which may explain some of the inertia.
