Centurion challenger I think it was. It's an existing road bike model with an electric motor added to the frame. It rides pretty smooth without the assist motor, 9 external gears.

60-100 km range, depending on assist level, and the not inconsiderable weight of the rider. So probably the lower number.

Hey everyone. Hope y'all have been doing well. It's been a while since I signed in. I keep forgetting my password. Gwen & I are in Toronto tonight. We're doing a cross-country baseball tour. We're going to all thirty parks and a few (or more than a few) college and minor league parks as well. We've always wanted to do this and its past time to stop putting it off. So, Friday, Saturday & Sunday we're watching the Jays take on the Twins. Last week we got to see the Brewers & Rays in Milwaukee. We started out by seeing the Wisconsin Lady Badgers softball team sweep Maryland in 3 games.

Today we visited the Royal Ontario Museum followed by dinner at Gyubees. Had a great time. Now just relaxing at the hotel. She's talking to Bri and I'm catching up with you fine folks. Life is good guys. It's a beautiful thing.

That's awesome. When I retire, my wife and I plan on spending a month in Arizona taking part in Spring Training.

Of course, with my daughter in college, my retirement is getting pushed back a couple years so I can pay off tuition and board. Ugh. 👩‍🎓🤑

Hubby will be 60 soon.
My brother will be 68 and my sister 70 this year.

I, of course, am still 16.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

My floor tiles in the living room and kitchenette broke. So I removed them all, painted the floor in a cat pattern and today poured liquid glass over it.

My advise to anyone wanting to do a liquid glass floor is don't.

I was cursing very loudly by the end of it. Leaving it to harden for 24 hours, then will check to do finishing touches and apply a layer of varnish.

melkathi probably has more creativity (not to mention energy) in one hair follicle than I have in my whole body.

Will we get a picture of the cat-pattern for the floor?

In 4 hours it should be hardened and I'll be able to step inside. Then you'll be bombarded :P

The tiles burst the Tuesday before last.

Luckily, even though here it was the orthodox Easter week, I got a couple of contractors to help me strip the damaged part of the floor and pour a layer of concrete.

IMG20260413102228.jpg

Once dry I painted it white, then added colours to have some orientation.

IMG20260414074901.jpg

I then threw forks down and sprayed outlines.

IMG20260414213114.jpg

And spend a couple of days painting faces for the cats from morning 'till way after midnight. Then spread a few hundred actual wooden forks painted as cats over it.

IMG20260415231018.jpg

The floor hasn't hardened yet, so all I got is a peak of the shiny new floor.

IMG20260419211933.jpg

I am leaving it overnight and am going to shine it tomorrow then varnish it to protect it from sunlight.

Finally did taxes. Bought some pencils to celebrate.

Irrationally irritated with all gaming, so I've been catching up on some TV/films (er, or at least clearing out the lists), plus taking a lot of naps.

Seriously, I feel like I sleep half the day, but in small increments.
Still no word re: hubby's back surgery.
I am going stir-crazy with "what's the point in anything" grumbles to the max, I really need to get away. I asked hubby if he'd be mad if I went off somewhere wild by myself for a while (cause of his back, plus y'know, we don't have 100% the same interests) and it sounded like the answer would be yes, so -- I take naps. :p

Realizing I think "I wish I could stab you in the face" far too often at work. Today's example was someone asking me how I tested the creation of a folder on a Windows machine

This is how I'm starting to feel re: what I consider ignorance of even the most basic computer concepts, online, these days. I know, we were all in the category of some kind of geek 20+ years ago, but still. It's horrible. "How do I backup a file." "There is no reason to backup when there's the Cloud" "File Explorer? What's that.". "I shouldn't have to back up my files (or do anything, really) just in case, too much effort, program sucks." I no longer even try to help ppl, half the time it's like talking to a 3 year old.

That sounds like Apple's target demographic grin

Being asked by a 22 year old "What do you mean by 'username'" for an SFTP server was something else. Then again, I'm sure my company hires morons who work for cheap - explains why I'm here.

When I saw the cat in the first photo, I thought he was the one who had caused all the trouble😅

Knowing melkathi's cat stories, that's probably accurate. :p

No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

It took Yannis over a year and a half after sneaking into the house, to climb onto my lap for 3 minutes. After that he had to go lie down in a corner to get over how brave and daring he was p

The floor opening up to swallow him was a total nightmare )

Kassandra went out, through the cat flap, into the garden.

Yannis also wanted to go out. I heard him pawing at the flap. So I looked. It was locked from the outside. He was staring out through the closed door and Kassandra was lounging outside looking back at him...

I think Kassandra has learned to use the locks.
