Came to mind for some reason

Video Shows UFO Get Hit by Hellfire Missile, Continues Flying Unobstructed

Caveat, the article is from TMZ, but a pretty wild embedded video is in the link.

Yup. This video was shown at the hearing yesterday of the US House committee investigating UAPs. Several ex-military witnesses testified under oath that the DoD has entire servers full of such videos. Damning evidence against the deniers.

I don't think most scientists are still denying that UAPs exist. But it's still not proof that they are space aliens. I like to speculate they are some yet unexplained physical phenomenon. For example, we've only had video evidence of sprites since 1989.

My more far-fetched alternate explanation is that they are human-built devices from a different time (or dimension). (Which would be almost as interesting as space aliens.)

Imo, its man-made tech that just isnt revealed to the public yet.

The tech gap between the tech in these UAPs and the tech we publicly know about is simply too great/vast. This being "our" tech is actually the more far-fetched explanation, IMO.

This possible explanation is beginning to gain traction in some scientific circles.

This is my take as well.

Besides, we all know it's the Voth.

Wonder why they shot at it in the first place, much less with an ATGM.

Fair enough, but thats not my take. I believe that the government is decades ahead of the public in technological matters.

My personal guess about that craft is that we saw a form of shielding in that bubble.

Well, the Hellfire is no longer just an ATGM. It is now a much more sophisticated all-purpose weapon, including for use by drones, helos, and even the A-10 as an AAM.

Yeah, putting on my aerospace engineer hat tells me the same thing. But I don't buy us or any other earthly power yet having that kind of tech, the tech to create a pure energy shield of that sort.

The more I go down my rabbit hole...I dont think it was an "intercept" at all, but rather a field test. Think of this: We know the range of the AMG-114 is ~11km. There were two Reapers involved, the view we see is from the "lazing buddy" and the other one fires the missile. Why would two Reapers just so happen to be patrolling within 6 miles of each other and both just so happen to spot the UAP. Then, unprecedentedly, fire upon it! The missile not exploding has got me boggled. Sure, stuff fails, but it looked kind of like it hit a water ballon and just went of screen. But I dont think we were ever meant to see this footage.

Now dont get me wrong, I whole heartedly believe that extra-terrestrial life exists, probably all over the universe. I just dont necessarily believe they are here on Earth. If they are, its the octopuses.

Don't quote me on this, but I think I read in the news on the Congressional hearings that the incident happened in the Red Sea, off Yemen, where we have had routine drone patrols for quite some time now.

Well, actually, this is kinda' where I am too. The Drake Equation shows us that there have to be hundreds of planets out there with intelligent life, and I am quite sure of this myself. But at the same time, the vastness of the universe is such that even with hundreds, even thousands of planets holding intelligent life, the distances between those planets will very likely be so great as to make interstellar travel extremely challenging.

But, I also think that even as alien beings may not be visiting us, it is much, much more possible, and likely, that alien robotic craft may be visitng us, i.e., UAPs.
