January 28Jan 28 While I don't enjoy the more modern language in Strange New Worlds, I still enjoy it, new Gorn aside. To me it's easily the second best NuTrek after Prodigy, which was better than it had any right to be. It was aspirational and they were fighting against their immaturity instead of leaning into it, which they could have since the crew was actual kids/young adults. Free games updated 3/4/21
January 28Jan 28 previous to strange new worlds, which we saw less than a month ago, the most recent trek property am having watched were a bit o' discovery. based on most feedback we received from trek fans we know in rl, we saw no need to end our sabbatical. will give prodigy a chance. Good Fun! I'll be watching DS9 in a few months for the first time since it aired. Be interested to see if I like it better. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

March 26Mar 26 I've reported more than 100 videos as 'ai slop' over the last month, and the algorithm is starting to give me VHS rips like these instead. Not sure what the hillbilly vibe is about, I'm definitely a city slicker.I don't hate it, especially compared to the slop. Behold, It's whole seminar. April 10Apr 10 It always gives you 10 of whatever you watched last, to find out if it's something you care about or not. You have to condition yourself to refuse the follow ups unless it's something you want. Also avoid clickbaity things like "We have to talk about X", or "Do this now to avoid Y", "most people don't know this secret trick to get Z"
April 14Apr 14 so ad block doesn't block the weird new product icon floating on shortany extension block that too

Yesterday at 07:50 PM1 day Alternate title: "Refrigerator Blindness."I chuckled a lot. There's some seriousness/info cited/talked over too, but mostly I chuckled. Some of the YT comments made were also hilarious.EDIT: Hubby: "I can't find (item), I've looked and looked they must be out."Me: (marches over to store aisle/shelf) "It's right there." (points)Hubby: "Where? I don't see it." Me: (grabs item, holds it up) "Right here." Hubby: " .... " Edited yesterday at 08:00 PM1 day by LadyCrimson Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. Yesterday at 09:32 PM1 day My impression has always been such things are an issue of "whose space is this?". Who's the one deciding where stuff goes at a moment's notice, who's the one most familiar with all the different objects inside, who's making instant decisions on where stuff needs to go or how stuff gets re-organized when space gets tight? I know where all the tools inside my toolbox are, but just because you also have a toolbox that you know the ins and outs of wouldn't suddenly make you an expert at finding whatever it is you're looking for inside mine, especially if a lot of its contents are different and unfamiliar compared to what's in yours. Faster compared to someone who's never seen the inside of one and familiar with any of it though, sure....But it wouldn't surprise me if some other factors also figure in, like men's mental visualization and pattern-finding skills being better suited for certain things and women's being better for others. Yesterday at 10:32 PM1 day @Bartimaeus Yes, he does go over many of those theories. Including motion (hunting) vs. color and pattern (gathering).I think outside of the house (store/shopping), of which I/other have no personal control, it's more that stores move and re-order things around constantly - even within the same aisle, and maybe men (average) have a harder time noticing/figuring out how things have moved. "One sees but does not observe."Based on only hubby/a few others, I also wonder if men just devote less brain/memory to remembering anything that isn't immediate survival/future plan/survival, and/or their absolute favorite thing/s plus already long-term auto-habit established. Like beer label vs. label of condensed milk, or a tupperware of meatloaf.Or despite being told/reminded 100 times, it'll take hubby 6-12 months to recall and actually remember/USE something like "if you don't want to go outside re: cans/bottles, just put it in this big plastic bin I've put on the kitchen counter." (eg, they remain put everywhere all over the kitchen, still). Where at some point much later, hubby will say something like "when did you put that there? That's a good idea." 😄 Edited yesterday at 10:37 PM1 day by LadyCrimson Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.
