I don't play them any more as much as I... load them up with cheats enabled and skip the missions and simply enjoy the story/dialogue. :p

That reminds me I still have Wing Commander Saga to play through. But that's... uhm. I know it's just a mod campaign but it really is 5 minutes of gameplay and an hour of reading Wing Commander fanfiction.

I need to hook my joystick up and replay Freespace 2, still one of the best SP campaign in any game I've played - treating you like the grunt you are in universe was a good idea.

I'm optimistic enough about it to pre-order (on EGS, UPlay proved to be more user-unfriendly). It is a single-player action-adventure and should be hard to mess up (there's nowhere to put lootboxes or MTX). The graphics and animations seem good (though, some cut-scenes look less intense, but I hope that it will be fixed by release), level design and combat should be fine. I hope to see WW and T2T remakes as well.

Also Jordan Mechner, the developer of the original game, has played a few levels and approved.
