Jestem dumny że jestem Polakiem Just to clarify: I have nothing against Poles, Polish games, Polish developers, or the Polish studio behind Succubus itself. This is just my personal observation, but I could swear that there is this odd undercurrent to Polish games, one of being edgy/irreverent/anti-PC just for the sake of lulz and/or sticking it to The Man (whoever that particular Man might be). That doesn't automatically make a game better, and neither does shock value.

Game starts with you climbing a wall... which is on-screen hotkeys which you have to press to progress. Probably would have been better to just make this a cutscene .... Combat is boring. You "stun" enemies, then execute them. Same animations over and over. Attacking feels like you hit the air ... it's just not satisfying. Map design was lame as (w)hell. It's not scary at all. It's just lots of gore. Especially wieners are around every corner. Punched a pregnant woman, then grabbed inside from down below and pulled out a baby. Honestly, this is all just for shock value and so people talk about it ... gameplay-wise it is not interesting at all and doesn't look good either. tl;dr - They try to get you with curiosity and shock value, but the game itself looks garbage. Don't spend money on it. Edited July 28, 2020 by Lexx 2 "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Keyrock Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 It's a follow up to that Agony game, right? I never played Agony, so this is hearsay, but supposedly that game was pretty trash. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

I feel there is this tendency to make an edgy game in the most embarassing way possible. That's kinda why I am worried about Cyberpunk... Witcher's strength was that it was a very Polish licence. Making a more western game - they might ring false. miss the mark, whatever you want to call. I didn't like what I have seen so far.

Since you brought up Hatred, those same devs made a game called IS Defense, and I can speak to this game since I own it and have played it. t's likely "shock value" or being controversial may have been a contributing factor to the design of the game, but it turned out to be a pretty good game, for what it was. I mean, it was just the turret section from many a game expanded to be a standalone game, but it was well executed and properly priced. So, if a dev wants to get "edgy", so long as the game is good, I'm fine with it.If "edgy" is the only draw and the game sucks otherwise, then I'll pass. As for Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR have already proven they are quite capable of making an excellent game. Furthermore, they are one of the most successful and famous developers in the world today, they have absolutely zero need to try to drum up interest by being controversial. The Cyberpunk hype train is already full steam ahead. I have faith CDPR will just try to make the best game possible and neither bend to pressures from the moral police nor get edgy simply for the sake of being edgy. 1 1 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

No, Poland is the centre of the world. But yeah, I meant west, past the big water. USoA EDIT. Of course, quality has a final say really. Sergio Leone films don't reflect values of american genres that it uses (be it Westerns of Gangster films) but due to their quality they provide a unique, critical take from an italian film maker.
