There is only so many time you can use sworn enemy and flames of devotion before you go crazy.

Over and over and over every fight. Literally. For dozens even hundreds of hours.

Pallys are a frontline class so obviously they are going to be doing alot of melee. 2 abilities isnt enough.

I personally think pallys are a strong class but defiantly also the most boring class to play

Just turn on AI and forget that they even exist.

What bothers me though, is that when AI is on they'll try to use Sworn Enemy on enemies that have already been sworn.

It's no different for all other melee classes, Paladins aren't special.

Look at da barb. :( Barbaric Blow... and it's even double the cost of FoD.

Barbs have other exciting abilities though that takes the edge off

The most exiting think about a Paladin is figuring out how to not get burnt alive by Sacred Immolation

Sure, Shared Flames, Brand Enemy, Lay on Hands, Exalted Auras and stuff are all totally unexiting.

I mean I would love to see another active melee ability on a paladin (for example something like "Smite") - but you seem to be up to your neck in hyperbole.

Paladin subclass can have more unique high tier ability. For example, Bleak Walkers have terrifying aura just like death guard and lich. But I think Sawyer won't do that since he very care equally balance.

Sawyer won't do that because he's not in charge of PoE/Deadfire anymore in the first place.
