Gregorovich Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Hello, guys! Well, I want to say, that really love Deadfire and like the druid and especially Shifter plus multiclassing. But I have one great misunderstanding. Well, when shifted the druid looses temporarily all the equipment, that's OK. But why should he loose the pet? As the part of equipment it just disappears too, and that looks strange. Just like the pet says: oh no, my master is a giant wolf, I'd better run away! So, what are your thoughts? Should that be corrected? 2
dunehunter Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Totally agree, this actually seem to be an oversight. Would love to play a bear shifter/ ranger with bear ranger pet and bear cub pet... 3
InsaneCommander Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 It makes sense if you are playing a Fury and have a dog, many are afraid of thunder. But yes, they should not only revise this but add more pets like the bear cub dunehunter mentioned.
wanderon Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 The vision is becoming clear now - it's a druid who just shifted to a wolf followed by a wolf wait is that a rat sized tick following them??? The druid has a huge pet tick? I wonder what it's powers are? I bet there's blood involved 1 Nomadic Wayfarer of the Obsidian Order Not all those that wander are lost...
InsaneCommander Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Or maybe it's an Adra Tick, looking for a huge target.
AeonsLegend Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Technically a pet is equipment. Otherwise yea. I don't understand how having a pig around somehow makes me better at certain things personally.
InsaneCommander Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Sometimes, when I approach the enemies in stealth, my dog moves a little further, standing right in front of them. It must be invisible. Or the enemies are really stupid.
Vitalis Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Well, that's an unfortunate, does anyone know if it also disappears from companions when shifted?
Gregorovich Posted June 23, 2018 Author Posted June 23, 2018 Thank you for your answers) Also, I think, that it would be great to add some more story connected pets, like the dog in Asongo or black hound in PoE I. It would be more interesting than just a cat sitting somewhere in an ancient tomb closed for 100 years
Greygore Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I didn't even realize this happened. My 11 year old daughter wanted to play a Druid/ Ranger multi-class, and really liked the Shifter. I suggested Stalker so she would get a bonus when they were fighting side by side. She was more about the pet being cute, but yeah it doesn't really make sense the pet would just disappear.
Silent Winter Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 I didn't even realize this happened. My 11 year old daughter wanted to play a Druid/ Ranger multi-class, and really liked the Shifter. I suggested Stalker so she would get a bonus when they were fighting side by side. She was more about the pet being cute, but yeah it doesn't really make sense the pet would just disappear. I thought they meant that the 'pet-slot' pet (little cats//dogs/wurms/etc) disappeared (which is odd but acceptable, unless the pet-bonus disappears too) - but do you mean that the ranger pet disappears too? That would somewhat destroy the druid/ranger multiclass. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Casts Nature's Terror* , *Casts Firebug* , *Casts Rot-Skulls* , *Casts Garden of Life* *Spirit-shifts to cat form*
InsaneCommander Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 They must all be spirits. That's why nobody hurts them. Or maybe even the most evil enemies consider them cute and won't target them.
