  1. The game continues to crash a lot. Can't play it in peace. I don't know what is causing it, i'm sending some files. 2018-08-04_173654.zip
  2. Hello. This is my first time using this forum so I hope I am doing this correctly. I have just got POE 2 and while I am loving the game, it is almost unplayable for me. It seems that my game crashes every 10 to 15 minutes. The crashes usually happen when I either open up my inventory or search something. I can still hear the music in the background and can even hear myself selecting characters but the screen is frozen in place. I have also gotten crashes going into new areas. I have updated my graphics drivers thinking this was the problem but alas, it still persists. I will attach my output log and crash folder. Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if anything else is needed output_log.txt output_log.txt
  3. I'm experiencing a game stopping crash in Fort Deadlight. I've just had a drinking contest, won it, and a guard comes down the stairs. I take the opportunity to go up the stairs, and the game crashes. The odd thing is that although I the screen locks up and stops redrawing the audio continues in the background. So i hear the interactions playing out as if I'm still playing. The guard comes back up the stairs, tells me I'm not meant to be up there etc etc. If I alt-tab out and try to return to the game screen it never redraws, I have to ctrl-alt-del to end the task. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6gqry2xgri97a9c/20180518_POE2_Crashe.zip?dl=0 I've included dxdiag, save 'just' before the crash and the output log in the ZIP file linked above. Most of the output log is the following error repeated: d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=157 h=192 d3dfmt=65 [887a0005]
  4. Description: After reading through all of the ending slides, the screen goes black and never progresses. I get a pop-up in the background telling me that the game crashed. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: It happens when I complete the game and read through all of the slides and try to progress past the last "watcher" ending slide. I've tried it twice now and it happened both times. Important Files: I included my crash folder as an attachment. I tried to include some save files but they are too large to attach. I verified that I have a "game complete" save file, so this isn't the end of the world for me. 2018-12-31_095920.zip
  5. Hello, I recently bought PoE2 - Deadfire and upon launching the .Exe, either through steam or directly, The game fails to even start and the following error is displayed on the desktop: Oops! The game crashed. The crash report folder......It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!" I uninstalled, re-installed, restarted my PC, returned the game on steam and bought on GOG, made sure my drivers are up to date, and a myriad of other attempts at fixing the issue but so far, 0 luck. here is the bug report and my dxdiag. Thanks! any help would be greatly appreciated output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  6. I started a completely fresh game after The Forgotten Sanctum launched. The game crash at random. Some times it crashes on the same action (e.g. transition from one floor/area to another) a couple of times, then it stop crashing there (e.,g. in Oathbinder's Sanctum). Had one just now, where it crashed while talking to a NPC (Abocco, bounty manager in The Wild Mare). If any logs are needed, please tell me where I can find them on Linux. The directions in the How to report a bug thread didn't really tell me much. I have telemetry enabled, so hopefully you'll get some info about it via that channel. _______ Current game version: 4.0.1.0044 LAX123ABCDEFG-steam System info: Operating System: Kubuntu 18.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 Qt Version: 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0 Kernel Version: 4.18.0-13-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz Memory: 31,4 GiB of RAM GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB Client glx vendor string: Mesa Project and SGI OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 18.3.0 - padoka PPA OpenGL version string: 4.5 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 18.3.0 - padoka PPA OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.2 Mesa 18.3.0 - padoka PPA

  8. Description - Crash to desktop when using map to exit Neketaka by sea from Periki's Overlook. Crash occured when the character reached the end of the map of Neketaka. Reproducible? No, tried to reproduce but no crash occurred.
  9. I just purchased Pillars of Eternity, and whenever i have tried to run the game it crashes on startup, and i get the following text: Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one All resolution switches have failed Screen: could not switch resolution (1920x1080 fs=1 hz=0) Can anyone please help me find a solution? Otherwise I'm going to have to get a refund on steam cos no way am I keeping a broken game in the hope it magically fixes itself in some future update.
  10. Hi all I'm playing on Steam and have not been able to progress. Occasionally while viewing/moving items in character inventory or reading/clicking stats and effects for characters the game will completely freeze without coming back. Sound still plays, and if I hit ESC or click outwith the inventory screen I get sound effects to indicate movement etc, but the visuals are stuck displaying whatever I was looking at (Inventory/Character sheet) without change. None of the visuals behind the info screen change either - the only thing indicating the game is registering input is the sound effects. This has happened every session I've played and tonight was the longest I've played without crashing (I'm guessing something like 30 - 50 mins). No crash log is generated but I've attached all the other files. The only thing I've tried was turning off telemetry, but it crashed again after that. Hope you can help, thanks. 11. Any time I try to play the game it will run for about 15 to 20 mininutes before the PC will lock up, can't alt tab, can't move the mouse just everything is frozen yet the CPU is still running and all I can do is hit the restart button, I've no idea what is causing the issue or how to fix it. But I do know it has to do with my pc since trying the game on another pc it works without crashing. My graphic card is a AMD Radeon R9 380 Series and my CPU is a AMD Fx-8320 Eight-core Processor (8CPU): ~3.GHz. DxDiag.txt
  12. Clean solo run (no drugs) - 3rd time this has happened today. The picture is pretty self-explanatory. GL&HF
  13. Hello! I've random crashes and game says something like "Oops! Something goes wrong, crash report created, send it to Obsidian!" So i've collected some files for you Save file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18p9c-jRk9uu3PhqFUGk66DuN2MSxE5Dz/view?usp=sharing DxDiag.txt 2018-07-25_101628.zip
  14. Good afternoon, Am experiencing a curious oddity of a crash. I've played through PoE before on my Toshiba laptop and had no real issues. However, I recently upgraded to a new (non-laptop) computer, and decided "you know, I think I want to replay PoE and import my character into PoE 2, now that it's out". I've a relatively new system, which includes a GeForce GTX 1060, a Realtek soundtrack, an obnoxious amount of RAM, and no idea why the game locks up. Naturally, I've updated my Nvidia and Real Tek drivers, and despite that the crashes still occur. Upon attempting to load the game, it gets as far as the initial encampment scene, and after wandering for a few minutes around the encampment, the game suddenly locks up. It doesn't BSOD me, it just...locks up. The audio continues to work - Justin Bell's double-fine tunes continue playing in the background despite everything freezing up like some kind of freaky flash mob. As per Obsidian protocol, I've attached my DXDiag text and the Output log. I've attempted to attach my most recent savegame, but am not being permitted to attach it to this message for reasons unclear to me. It would be lovely if someone could attend to this post and perhaps offer an email to which I could send the savegame, should they need it, as well as some advice around how to go about eliminating this issue. Thank you kindly in advance for your time and effort! Best, Ilya DxDiag.txt output_log.txt
  15. I have a new iMac less than three months old. This game constantly has screen issues, half the screen is water half is land. Dialogue doesn't load properly on the screen, level up text doesn't load, voices cannot be heard. What is going on? I requested a refund and have been denied because I played for 5 hours. Half of that was spent trying to work around the bug issues, reloading the game. Waiting on the screen to load, hoping that it would work. I paid for the 59.99 package. This is insane. Ive attached a screenshot, I have more but they are more than 510kb.... I'm waiting on the second refund attempt and if that doesn't work I will post more until this is fixed.
  16. I had 3 crashes so far. Here are the folders about all the crashes I had: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0zgpd7uewzkvanm/AACaCiGrp7fpO0aR4ATuP1oLa?dl=0
  17. On MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017). I have a level 11 Eder that I'm trying to respec. If I do it on my macbook pro, I get prompted with a "are you sure you want to reset eder to level 1" dialogue, and the moment I click "accept" or whatever, the game hangs and then my mouse cursor beachballs. If I do the same thing on my PC, I immediately go to the character level up screen after clicking accept. Dropbox link to save game and output_log from my mac (along with screenshot of my system information): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sr51p5ry2w5lmj2/AABCAXmnBlPqp2F8tqtV51Bma?dl=0
  18. The game crashes randomly on me after about 15-30 mins of gameplay. I was hoping the recent patch would alleviate this. Not sure how to send the crashlog data to you all, but everytime (well most of the time) when it crashes it does create: 1. a folder in the Steam Directory where PoE2 is installed with: a crash.dmp an error.txt an output_log.txt I have tried to review those myself to see if i need to update something on this end but after reading so many other similar posts, i just would like to know the most effective way to send these files to the developers? I dont really want to post them here, or use say a dropbox or another path I would much prefer a direct email / support to Obsidian, just not sure the best way to do that...
  19. Well, title is self-explaining, i think. Random crashes occur EXACTLY when i end up on yacht and continue throughout the game. Sometimes it happens in dialog, sometimes when i open character screen. TSLRCM. Does someone has exact same problem?
  20. Cant play the game, it randomly crashes aaaaall the time. Heres some of the reports i got, all are access violations. Interesting that i got Pillars 1 to play something while 2 gets fixed and it crashes too WTF !, 0 issues with other games. 21. In Fort Deadlights, simply scrolling the camera over the area that on the map is labeled "To Forge" causes not just the game to crash, but appears to also cause my video device drivers to crash. The device driver then recovers (which involves the screen flashing black briefly), and about half the time the game simply crashes and shuts down. The other half the game is still sort of running, but the visuals are completely whited out. Though you can still hear sound effects and, seemingly continue clicking on the ground and objects. You just can't see anything. At first, I thought that my video card drivers, which I hadn't updated in a while, were to blame. But even after updating them, rebooting, and then turning all of the game's video settings down, the problem persists. Of note, I tend to play the game in a window, if that might matter. Attached is the the save game that is closest, simply scrolling up and left along the stairs from the starting point is enough to cause the crash. Also attached is the output_log file and the DxDiag.txt for my computer. There was a crash file in the Pillars of Eternity II directory, but as it is a 2gig file somehow, and I have crappy DSL internet, uploading that is pretty unlikely to ever happen. I assume the problem is some weird interaction between my graphics card/drivers and the game, but damned if I have any idea how to fix the problem. It's a shame, because I was really enjoying the game right up until this point. Edit: Looks like the attachment didn't actually attach because of the ridiculously small max size, link to the attachment: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l0y6cotv2sxa8ez/Bug%20Report.zip?dl=0
  22. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the game. The latest patch to the game or the newest GPU driver has not fixed the issue. I thought I'd post an update with a save game where it occurs 100% of the time. If you load this save and then **** around in some inventory menus or try and level up and take too long, it is a black screen driver crash every time. The only way I've made it as far into the game as I have is rushing through all my menu navigation and often closing and saving in-between since I have to repeat a lot. I have experienced roughly 50-60 crashes since I first started the game. I am still trucking along but I am close to throwing in the towel. https://drive.google.com/open?id=13DXaP98vExj51_4xPRTfMnDJTGy_-pFD I can't attach my save file because of size limitations so its in the google link. Hopefully this can be fixed someday so I can actually enjoy this game instead of it being an exercise in frustration. DxDiag.txt
  23. This has happened twice now. Crash log at http://ennui.org/crash.txt
  24. http://ennui.org/crashlog.txt http://ennui.org/autosave_0.savegame I was trying to resize the combat log window.
  25. This game crashes. A lot. I'm yet to discover what causes the constant crashes, for they occur in a variety of situations, such combat, entering or exiting a map or just walking across Neketaka. The game freezes, then crashes. Several perfomances issues make the game completely unstable. I play saving every 3 minutes, just waiing to a crash, I love this game and want to keep playing, this just need to be fixed. The Crash Logs ate atached. PoE II.zip
