Aside from BG1 none of those games are my favorites. It's just that DA2 is so bad. We will agree on one thing though Volourn. Minsc is a terrible character. His constant yelling is annoying, and he has no character development.

You're kidding right? BG1, KOTOR1, and even ME3 (as much as I dislike that game) are WAAAY better than Dragon Age 2. As are all the other games you mentioned. Except for Fable 3. Well, I'm not sure what AP stands for, but there is a 99% chance it's better than DA2 since almost everything is. I have to admit, once you saw that the game didn't even let you choose your race; your ability to not immediately throw it away is impressive.

If only lol. The democrats of sweden is the best translation I can come up with. At the moment the left block is winning, but SD has enough votes to influence politics now. They are now the third biggest after Moderaterna and Socialdemokraterna. I always liked Sweden. I hope that whoever wins does a good job governing it.

Bioware developed those games, and EA gave Bioware plenty of creative control. EA is not responsible for the direction Bioware has taken it's games. If they are responsible for anything; it's that they didn't reign in the terrible direction Bioware took their games. Dragon age 1 was fine. Mass Effect 1&2 were decent. Dragon Age 2 was horrible however. The only rpg worse than that in the past 20 years would be Fable 3. God, Fable 3 was a piece of garbage.

Which IE games are you talking about? All the robes have an effect as far as I can remember. I just got done with BG literally yesterday, and every robe had an effect of some kind.

What? It's Sunday morning. Let me report my weekend experience with D:OS. OK. I have been given a rare 3 day weekend which began Friday. So, Friday morning I decided to browse Steam for a game to buy. Divinity: Original sin caught my eye. I had not been following its development so I spent about an hour researching it. I went to Metacritic. I came here. I looked at youtube etc. Everything pointed to the fact that I should be playing this game. So I bought it off Steam. Then I began playing it. The hours passed. The entire world flew by me. I did not go to bed Friday night. And last night I was planning on watching the Mayweather vs. Maidona II fight on PPV. But I didn't do that either. Instead, I played D:OS. It is now Sunday morning. And this game has sucked me in thoroughly. I think I've gotten about 7 hours of sleep in the last 2 days, and I was playing rock-paper-scissors in my dreams for the majority of those 7 hours. lol If that's not immersion then I don't know what immersion is. This game is fantastic. It scratches the itch. It fills the void. If a game of this quality and polish can be done with just $4 million, then I shudder at the bloat and utter financial incompentence from other companies who can't create a game with HALF the content and depth of D:OS even though they've got 10X the funding to work with. Somebody really likes D:OS. Maybe I should give it a try.

Not finishing a game is not a measurement of how fun (or unfun) that game is. Many of my friends don't ever finish their games. So you seem to be correct Stun.

Where does all this EA hatred come from? I feel that Bioware games are trash nowadays, but that isn't EA's fault. It's Bioware that really deserves my scorn. As for DA:I vs TW3... Neither. The Witcher doesn't interest me. Bioware deserves to be tried for crimes against humanity for DA2 and I'll sooner jump into a pool of lava before I let those scoundrels see my money again.

Why? edit: Since you didn't answer this earlier, maybe I am not being clear. What makes that million units line the difference between boom and bust? When Volourn says something is garbage; don't expect to ever get an answer why. Everything involved in said garbage is irrelevant.

I like Bushido 1, but never really played Bushido 2. Soul Caliber 4 was a joke compared to 2.

I'm a big fan of the fighting game genre. I was wondering if there are few fighting game fans here at the Obsidian forums. I would enjoy discussion on the genre. To get things going, here are a few statements people can respond to: 1: I wasn't pleased with Street Fighter 4. I prefer the alpha series. 2: I love Super Smash Brothers Melee, and the Brawl mod, "Project M". I hated Brawl itself though. 3: I like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but I wish the damage was a bit lower. 4: Mortal Kombat 9 was pretty neat. Any thoughts on any fighting game is great; I just wanted to give some people statements to agree/disagree with.

Victory should be its own reward. And it is when the battle is challenging. On the other hand, XP awards don't make easy and boring fights any more interesting. Are you serious? Getting xp is half the fun of rpgs. That's my experience, and I doubt I'm alone.

I'm bored with it now. No more cap locks. For the OP: There will not be any kill-xp. There may be better loot to find though. Also, there might be more quests per area. I'm still hoping that Obsidian will introduce discovery-xp. When I say discovery-xp; I am referring to the idea that when the players finds a special area (like a dungeon) the game will award the player a small amount of xp. 100-xp seems fair. They might want to make the xp reward worth more/less depending on how dangerous the given map is.
