  1. Seriously...I wasn't really all that afraid of Kreia...certainly not half as afraid as I was of Malak. And Malak was tougher, too. He actually ran after you and used Force Jump and Throw Lightsaber on you a quite a bit. With Kreia, just go out to the ends of one of the walk ways and heal up when you need it...they're some goodies out there anyway... And don't neglect to use those Verpine "Prototype" Shields. Hell, as many of thoe that I found, I seriously doubt that it's a prototype anymore. But anway...I mean, Malak ran your ass down. Kreia's scooting along with her little walker, "Come back her young'an. I ain't done with you. Oh, shoot! My calaustomy bag is full! Nurse!!!"
  2. you mean, "they just don't make 'em like they used to.."?
  3. page 3? second screen of what? you lost me and where do the sound files and the DAT file go?
  4. okay...how about a little more detailed instructions? 1. Extract the files to a new folder 2. Copy the 2 font files into your Windows Font Folder, eg. C:\WINDOWS\FONTS 3. Run! 4. Create a player file, keep the file name as simple as possible 5. Set your Game Options 6. Play! If you run into problems check the help page on the website. extract the files to a new folder? where? where does the folder go? in applications? in the kotor 2 folder? where? someone please walk me through this, step by step...and remember: take baby steps... and create a player file? is this when you start it up? and where do the sound files go?
  5. 40 years is nothing in the Star Wars Universe, and certainly not enough time to notice an advance in technology. Hell, a couple hundred years is practiclly nothing. Ignore the illustrations...they have little to no bearing in the matter. They're just pictures...don't read so much into everything.
  6. But more on topic, I was under the impression that the questions you answered on peragus were supposed to have a bearing on how Revan appears in the tomb, but he/she looked exactly the same every time. I wonder if the lighsaber colors change depending on how you answered the questions on Peragus...
  7. it would be like sucking on a vacuum...only a stronger vacuum, since the Exile is whole... Against Nihilis, the Exile's void is stronger because he/she is whole. The only difference is the Exile leaches off of living, as well. Nihilis sucks the life out of a mass of people and then they're done for. The Exile leaches off of the living to maintain his/her connection to the force and relies on the death of his/her enemies to grow stronger. Nihilis sucks the life out of force sensetives in order maintain his/her/it's self, not necessarily to grow stronger. This is all starting to make sense. It would be really cool if Nihilis was in K3
  8. yeah...they're both a couple of poser's who take themselves too seriously... god, I HATE vin diesel....he'd be PERFECT!!!
  9. Okay, I downloaded those little "fixes" that the TSL Restoration Team made in their spare time and, of course, I have KotOR Tool, the WhereAmI armband, and some other stuff, but how the hell do I implement these downloads? Are there any instructions anywhere? The readme files that came with the armband and KotOT Tool download are a litte under explanatory. So, what do I do and how do I do it?
  10. Well, all I can say is I haven't figured out how to install that damned saved game editor...I could be full of sh*t, and I might be really awesome at using computers and saved game editors and that stupid F***ING Win RAR program....But it's already been proven by someone other than myself (E_Motion) that you CAN in fact finish Malachor V as Mira. But yes, if a person had nothing better to do with his or her life, they could use the saved game editor and fiddle around with their saved games, make a whole bunch of screenshots or Mira prancing around the Trayus academy, and also making up a detailed explaination on how to use Mira to finish the game....yes sir, THAT is my goal in life....
  11. yeah....I noticed that part, too about Kreia leaving Mira out of the prophecies... and same for the save and reload: I tried this a couple of time on the is last playthrough and one of the times I saved and reloaded before the "killing blow" and Hanharr was just standing there, but I could still engage him.... But I'm glad to hear that someone else figured it out....
  12. accident but it didn't just happen on its own... I posted the procedure on this thread a couple times...give 'er a try!
  13. You'd be surprised at what lengths people go to on the internet. I recall someone making up an entire identity for a person, downloading an entire picture album, making a geocities site and making up background information about a girl just to prove to some internet buddies that he was infact dating this "girl". Not necessarily saying that's what Jambo did. But that nothing surprises me anymore. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ha ha ha....believe me...I don't have THAT much time on my hands. I have better things to do than to "photo shop" a bunch of pictures and get everyone to believe them... If they weren't genuine, you'd definately be able to tell.
  14. Well...your's and everyone else's scepticizism is understandable, but if a dozen screenshots doesn't convince you, nothing will...and yeah, those screenshots DO look a little shoddy...I had to lower the graphics settings because the game has been running all screwed up ever since I installed the patch... But if you happen to play sometime soon or have a save around there, and have Mira in your party, give a shot, just for the hell of it. It really was fun...but it might just be my computer or my game disk is a little goofy. I've posted the instructions on how I pulled it off, in this thread a couple times...give it a shot....
  15. I don't have any image editing software, except for Paint...and Photo Shop is way too expensive... But, I've done my part...I got 11 screenshots...I figured that ought to be enough to convince someone, guess I thought wrong. I figured I could have at least convinced you, since you seemed to be the most optimistic and helpful out of everyone...but it's really not my problem... I couldn't care less what everyone thinks...I just wanted to persuade someone into trying to do the same thing, since it playing as Mira in the Trayus academy was such a challenge (as opposed to the rest of the game).
  16. So...Kotorkyle, Universal Soldier, metadigital: How do you want that crow prepared? But no hard feelings, I would have been a little sceptical, myself if anyone of you guys made such an outrageous claim... But really, the only true test is to see if anyone else can do what I did... Really: It was a lot of fun... almost as much fun as going solo on the Start Forge...only, I didn't die near as much this time, but quite a challenge, none the less...
  17. Alright, alright...I figured it out...everytime I hot Print Screen, it just put the picture in an little "clipboard." I just opened up Paint and hit Paste and the picture popped right up... here's a few...
  18. okay...well, I'll indulge your curiousity...give me couple minutes okay, I tried pressing al of the function keys, I tried holding them down individually for couple seconds, and I tried the print screen key....but nothing happens...I checked my saved game...it's not in there...am I missing something? what button do I push?
  19. where to do the screenshots end up in the KotOR 2 folder? do they go to a special folder?
  20. tell me about it... If I knew how, I could get any screen shot you want: Proving Grounds, Trayus Core, Face-off with Sion (and the pseudo-Sion that dies right away)... Do you know how to set up the game options so I can take screenshots?
  21. so...everyone "knows" I'm full of sh*t... What could I do to convince you otherwise? How do you set up to take screens shots? Would that convince some of you? I don't mean to obsess over this. It's just that I ran across a glitch and I thought I would share it with everyone, but it doesn't really help much that everyone thinks that I'm making all of this up, and wasting my time... But it looks like I'm wasting my time, either way... On Malachor V: after the "killing blow" but before it cuts to the dialog, make a save, return to the game (the screen should be black), go back load your save, and there you have it...
  22. I had only played the game a couple times before...so, I still wasn't that familar with the game. But in my defense, it didn't take that long for me to realize that it was just a glitch...luckily, the auto save was at the Citadel Station when you talk to Carth... But if you have the computer version, a save point close to when you land on Malachor V, and the desire to prove yourself wrong...be my guest...
  23. Now, the explaination... The first time I figured this out was by accident... It was on my first playthrough as a female...so, naturally, my first though was that I played as Mira for a little bit and then it switched back to the Exile. It occured when I was just about to deliver the killing blow to Hanharr. I had equipped Mira with some items and weapons that I would either need to use myself or break down and make some better stuff. So, here's how you do it...I worked on my computer and my copy, so if it doesn't work on your's, I don't know what to say... So, just do what I did: Right after you deliver the "killing blow" to Hanharr, but before it cuts to the dialog, hit escape or got to the save screen or whatever...I didn't try this with a quick save...I just hit escape and went to the save screen from there. So, after the "killing blow" but before the dialog, do a normal save (new slot, of course). Then go back to the game and if you did it right, the screen should be black...No big deal, just go back and load the game that you just saved...and bingo! You skipped the Hanharr dialog, but he's still there in his wounded state... And you've also skipped the Remote mission and the Remote-GO-TO face-off....ah, boo hoo... So, you there you have it! And I WAS able to beat the rest of the game...Sio, Kreia/Traya and all..... Have Fun!
  24. Okay, okay...let's give this another try... Well, I'm sure I'm not the first person to figure out how to keep playing as Mira on Malachor V, but all I can say is, "Damn...no THAT was a challenge..." I mean, sure I did the Hssiss lizard trick until I got to Level 40, but everyone else only leveled up to 36. By the time I got to Malachor V, m character was a level 41 or 42 and everyone else was Level 38. I'll tell you, you REALLY notice the whole "enemies level up with the main character" thing... Taking on Marauders, Assassins and Sith Lords made for a level 42 with a Level 38...it's very noticeable. Almost none of my Force Powers were effective, much less were they effective on the first try, like Insanity, Stasis Field, Wave... but the "Dark Jedi" and the Apprentices were easy enough compared to the Prestige Class baddies... Almost all I could use on some of them was Force Storm... I couldn't hit a damn thing taking them on dual wielding lightsabers, but then again, I gave her Master Dualing. And wouldn't you know...when I went to fight Sion, he was already standing in front of the door to the Trayus Core... So...I approach the door and what do you know? The REAL Sion appears...I just ran around with Master speed activated and spammed Force Storm and took them out that way. The psuedo-Sion went down for good, but the real deal fought to the end... Kreia was hard enough....as were the three lightsabers, but....evade and survive...get them to separate, spam Force Storm, and load up every Strength-Boosting piece of equipment that isn't already equipt on the Exile... And single wield, if you don't have Master Two-Weapon... But, you know what? I didn't realize that I skipped the Remote and the Remote-GO-TO face-off until the end... Can't say I missed it... So, I ask again: Anyone else think that was a BLAST!!!!!
