  1. You'd love my wife then..... Anyway, I'm going for Handmaiden because I just liked the way she looked and acted toward my character. Although some of the Exile female heads look pretty nice, especially the asian ones. Oooh yeah... asian chicks...
  2. Maybe to help people out? It's not all about money, greed is a bad thing. I don't mean to say that you shouldn't fire people who can't do their job. That's all fine and dandy and that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that some CEO shouldn't lay off 10,000 or whatever workers just so he can make more profit if he is doing alright now. I'f your making enough money, why should you lay off thousands of people? What's the point? Those are real people with real families who are trying to make a living and if they are providing you with profit and a service and your company is making money and doing fine. Then don't fire them. You say if 5 people can do what 10 people can do, then fire the 5? Well, what does that do to the 5 that stay? Do they work harder? Are they working more hours? I mean, you can't look at people as just numbers. The 5 people who got layed off are real people, if the company can support them and they can do their job they should not be fired. It is NOT about money, it's about people. The bloat you call it is actual people, people with families and babies and they need to eat. In this day and age when it is so hard to find a job (in america at least) job security is important and I think the ceo's and higher ups should think of the people instead of just "money, money, make more money, think I'll give myself a raise." EDIT:And imho companies only think of one thing when they make decisions about anything, money. They usually don't think of the people they employee. And if it was up to me, no comapnies wouldn't make the decisions like this, because you would need a unbiased person to objectively make these sorts of decisions.
  3. Hmm, well I do agree we can't rule our country well. So, maybe the brits can do it better. I for one welcome our new british masters! ^_^
  4. To much of any thing is bad. Freedom included, sorry but that's just how it is. People are greedy, I think we can all agree with that right? Especially people in power.(Power corrupts). So, therefore, for the better interest of everyone these things should be regulated. So that people who are either too greedy for their own good don't go laying off tons of people just because they want to give themselfs a raise or make a little more. They should restrict how many people a company can lay off, depending on how much they are making. Of course they can still fire people who aren't doing there job or disruptive. But massive layoffs when they aren't needed should be against the law.
  5. Nope, you can be anything and train others in the force. At least I could when I was a jedi weapons master.
  6. American Dad? Family guy all the way since I don't even know what show American Dad is.
  7. Never have read the books (I have them, just never got around to it. lol). But the trailer looks pretty good imho. Although that walking robot thing looks a little bit to much like a guy just in a robot suit instead of a robot. heh. But maybe that's the way they wanted it? *shrug* Otherwise, looks cool!
  8. I'm not trying to whip up a "red scare". I just posted what I saw as the only public comment about knight2 problems, that's all. It seems to ME personally that he didn't care about us minotiry in the way he phrased his comment. But I urge everyone to make up your own mind. Perhaps I did read to much into it, if I did then I do aplogize. But it still leaves the fact that this has been the only public comment about the problems with the game and that's just not right. (If there has been another public comment, please someone let me know)
  9. The reason I posted this is because this is the only public (that I know of) reply by any obsidian employee made about kotor2's bugs and rush job. If they have had said something else, then this would have probably just been ignored.
  10. I disagree, he obviously doesn't care about us "minority" and I think that shows what kind of state of mind they are in. I normally would defend the devlopers or anyone who there is no evidence against. But this one line seems like he is dismissing us who are speaking up and that they are just looking at the sales and money. If any obsidian employee says otherwise and shows evidence to the contrary, then I will gladly say I was wrong.
  11. Obsidians Answer to us about the rush job on kotor2 Someone asks on another fourm about kotor2's bugs and rushed ending and Brian D. Lawson (programmer at obsidian) answers his question. How nice of him to care about the customer huh?
  12. Yup, serious suckage there. Kinda surprised something like this happened, but ah well.
  13. *sigh* What he said...
  14. Hang on Falconhurst, what is this thing you call integrity? I believe something like that was murdered several years ago by the all powerful god of captialism called Greed. All hail Greed!
  15. This was mentioned in another thread. But this guy says what I feel about this game the best. Good Game, But badly Rushed after a certain point. Thank you Mr.Buecheler for understanding. GameSpy: A Rush and A Push
  16. Agreed, he's pretty much been saying what I've and a lot of us have been saying all along. He got it right on what I think of the game, it's great but the ending was rushed. Could have been great, could have been a instant classic. Otherwise, it's a good game with a rushed ending.
  17. Alright, but why couldn't vader (if he is soo powerful in the force and suppose to have all those midichorlines) hold his own against the force lightning at the end of rotj? I mean, yoda easily took all the force lightning thrown against him and it looked like it didn't even phase him. And vader(anakin) was suppose to be far more powerful than yoda? I'm going to have to go with revan on this one, just seems more powerful to me plus his robes just kick ass. ^_^
  18. As much as I would like a answer to why so much was left out of the game when it could have been a great ending (and I actually petitioned for one http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=29709) I really don't think now we will get one. Obsidian probably had a contract with LA and any explianation would look bad publicly. So as much as I would like it so people could at least understand what happened, I honestly doubt it will happen.
  19. Well, Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe LA was responsable for the bug testing. And I honestly won't say this is obsidian's fault, because there's no evidence that it was there fault. The game is good, it just feels unfinished and rushed. Why could that be? Well, perhaps they were rushed in there devlopment cycle.. but I wouldn't go blaming obsidian because they probably did the best they could do with what they had. But yes, rushed and unfinished.... a real shame.
  20. Agreed, the DS ending for kotor1 pwns all. :D
  21. If you don't want to goto the trouble of editing stuff. You can just go into the advanced graphic settings while your on dantoonie (or whenever you get that lagginess) and just click and then unclick any setting so that the screen refreshes itself. That will cause the lag to go away for a while, till you load somewhere else. Tried this and it works, how I finished the game.
  22. I'll say the exact same thing I said in another thread.. here goes. *ahem* Welcome to the fabulous rushed world that is Kotor2, Please keep all arms and legs inside the ride at all times. And no whining about the completely unintelligible ending and plot holes. Don't forget to tip your LucasArts Numbercruncher and thank him for releasing the game to early! Have a Nice Day.
  23. I appreciate your response TentamusDarkblade. Let me say I've never flamed obsidian at all. This is actually the first game I've played by obsidian (kotor2). Although maybe I should have been more clear on that I understand that they probably didn't have any say in when the game was released and I have no evidence that it was there fault. Heck, I don't have evidence it was LA's fault that the game is buggy and looks rushed with story holes in it (apart from rumors that they forced obsidian to rush it out). I'm quite sure that OE probably had a contact with LA, I'm just saying that's really a shame and a lame deal that games have to be rushed out that are buggy and don't seem to be done. And I don't feel it's wasting bandwidth saying this at all, if someone doesn't say it, if someone doesn't speak up then it will just keep going on. Someone has to say something. Preferably with the correct grammar and not look like a idiot when he does it.(not that the first poster did). As for promises for this game, well.. we all know that marketers will pump a game up and even take or even photoshop screen shots to make them look better than the game. I'm not sure if the plot holes count as promises, but there are at least a couple of times in the game where you thought something would happen when it didn't. Although I doubt this will count as "promises". As for my list of plot holes and stuff missing, I suggest you take a look at the spoiler fourms, where there has been evidence and much... heated conversations about missing content/plot holes/bad endings, etc. But I will list a couple off the top of my head here in no order. 1:After you reactivate HK-47 he mentions something about you having a transponder (or something) that will activate at some point and lead them to the factory/world that the other HK's are being made and he said he can't wait to get there so he can.. take care of business. This never happened in the game, and I have yet to hear from anyone to actually see it happen. 2:When the remote finishes activating the ships stuck in malchor V goto comes up to him and freezes him and says that he won't be allowed to blow up the planet when you (the PC) gives the orders. However when you play the light side the planet clearly blows up and no mention is made what happened. 3:At the end of the game the ship is banged up pretty badly and then falls into malachor V and then suddenly after kreia is deafeated the ship comes zooming out. What happened there? 4:What happened to all of your friends? Yes, kreia talked about them a little. But were they okay after the crash landing? Were they with you in the ship? There is no mention of any of this as I recall. 5:Kreia said she would give you options at the end of the game, you could stay there and wait or you could fly off with a shuttle that was orbiting the planet. This choice was never given to the player. There are lots more, I just can't recall the specifics. But honestly, after the dantoonie council where the jedi are killed the story line feels really rushed and forced (pardon the pun). Not to mention none of the romances feel like they were finished with any sort of dialogue. There are lots of spots where stuff could have been explained better and some spots where I feel like, "What happened? Huh? Why am I here?" Also, there was obviously suppose to be far more on korriban because there are already sound files for the jedi that you found dead on there. (which you can feel free to listen to if you like, the instructions are in the spoiler section). Again, just look around in the spoiler fourms... there are lots of content that was left out. I respect where you are coming from, it just makes me angry when a beloved franchise like knights isn't handled well, or at least fleshed out correctly. Much of us here felt like this series was the rebirth of the good star wars story line and it is abhorrent to us that it was mishandled. Wether by OE, LA, or whoever. Again, I'm not placing blame as I have no evidence to do so. But I believe it is aparent that it was mishandled and that upsets me. And I hope it doesn't happen in the future. And we all know there will be a kotor3... sooner or later. For the xbox or the xbox 12.
  24. "there is another...." heeehee At least it's not playing Malak, revived by the Jedi/Sith in some freakish revenge thing. Just in skimming the Prima guide book, there is just too many weird, not quite continuity friendly things...but I guess I'll find all that out when I actually start playing the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or just become more confused... like I became. ^_^
  25. Flaming doesn't help the situation either. But he does have good and valid points. The game was rushed (or appears to be). There are gaping holes in the storyline (Which I can show you evidence of if you like). The game is good, but could have been so much better (and made more money). And he just doesn't want his beloved franchise to be rushed again. The first poster is only guilty of two things, assuming obsidian was going to make kotor3 and bad grammer/spelling. Apart from that, I agree with him.
