  1. You also get more force points per level, and unless there's something wrong with the game mechanics (which wouldn't surprise me, frankly), you get the sneak attack bonus when your enemies are in Stasis, so since I ran into pretty much every fight by throwing a Stasis Field first, pretty much every attack I made was a sneak attack.
  2. Hell no. The Watchman gets the most skills, and unlike KotOR 1, they're actually pretty important, both in making items and in dialogue. That easily makes up for any other shortcomings.
  3. Aluminum sounds better. And if people gripe about Aluminum and use Aluminium instead, why don't they say Platinium?
  4. Ah, of course. When one wishes to avoid answering, one makes a personal attack. Very mature of you.
  5. No one has the right to force people to do things. People do not have the right to force others to live their lives in a certain way, nor to run their businesses in a certain way. If one of the people who got laid off doesn't like the way the company is run, he should go start his own company, or organise a boycott of that company's services. But he should not force the company he used to work for to give him money. That's stealing. When somoene works for a company, he is providing a service. The company in turn pays for that service. When the company has no need of that service, it shouldn't have to pay for that service any more. When you buy something from a company, it is providing you a service, and when you don't need that service any more, you stop paying for it. Yet when you do this, the company does not sue you. If said company was large enough, it would have major repercussions on the economy if everyone stopped buying from them. In that case, should people be forced to buy from them?
  6. It's the Capital of Onderon.
  7. Go to pylon 3 in the Docks area. On your way there, a cutscene between a girl and a wookie should be triggered (if you haven't had it already). Once you leave the docks, you should get a message from the exchange. If you've already had the cutscene, then do some more of the sidequests, like dealing with the Exchange in the refugee sector. Even if you do get the exchange contact, make sure you do the sidequest you get from the guy and robot in the swoop garage. It'll be important, trust me.
  8. I agree. It is a terrible injustice that a Polish Language version of KotOR 2 will not be released. I weep for my Polish friends. ...What? "
  9. If I remember correctly, some people who were looking for the usused sound files from the game ran across French soundfiles in the English game. If the French soundfiles are in the English game, it stands to reason the English soundfiles are in the French game. But I am completely unsure about whether I am remembering correctly, or whether I am just talking crap.
  10. The Kotor Tool (google it if you want) could do it. But...unless you know the name of that head's graphics, you'd have a hard time figuring out which entry in the heads.2da file you have to change in order to get it. There's no quick fix here, unless someone did mod it in (which I doubt). You'll have to make the mod yourself.
  11. So what then was released? Surely not the monster itself, because releasing it causes it to go on the rampage, and since the Sith would wish to keep it under control, that wouldn't be something to gloat about. And I certainly don't remember any reference to a connection between the two, where is this said?
  12. Have you tried putting them back in in the party select screen?
  13. I used divide and it worked for me...
  14. dont you remember? theres no Jedi Council no more, I think the people you turn Jedi are the new council.. how about Yoda, he said you only can have one apprentice, and you cant have relationships or someone said it anyhow.. Luke trains many Jedi in his accademy, and he marries Mara Jade. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And the Exile practically goes around saying "Hi. Wanna join me and be a Jedi?" AT least Luke had standards. The Exile's like the Force Whore of the Jedi.
  15. Oooh, another fallacy! I'm guessing MOST of those authors are males themselves. I have a friend who owns all the Star Wars books and he tells me that there's a certain author who has quite obviously self-inserted himself into his stories - claims to be more powerful than Skywalker, better looking, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Darren Shan writes Star Wars novels too?
  16. Well, weight could mean something. Even if the actual weight is the same, the shorter the blade gets, the closer the saber is to the expected weight. For instance, a lightsaber with a 2 inch blade is so close to the weight that it would be if the blade was made of metal, that it is a lot easier to be aware of the position of the blade relative to yourself. The longer the blade gets, the harder it gets to work out where the blades are. Even a Jedi is likely to cut his arm off with a double saber if he's used to a single because he can't picture where both blades are at the same time. So I suppose if one blade is shorter than the other, you are less likely to cut yourself if you lose awareness of the blade's position. That's just me playing devil's advocate, though, because I'd have to agree that it does still seem rather strange. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Light Sabers have know weight except for the handle. Which is why only someone who is attuned to the force can wield one effectively. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was my point. The saber weighs less than you would expect it to, and the change in the centre of gravity that you get with most blades that helps you imagine where the blade is is not there in a lightsaber. However, the shorter the blade gets, the closer the sabre is to the weight you would expect of a similar material blade, because the weight of an equivalent weapon goes down where the saber stays constant. Thus, if the blade is shorter, it may be easier to visualise where the blade is. If you can picture where the blade is more easily, you don't have to take as much care not to hurt yourself, and you can focus that care on your attacks.
  17. The best way to get Silver crystals is to save the game before talking to a merchant for the first time, and look at his inventory. The items they sell are generated randomly the first time you talk to them. If there are lightsaber crystals but no silver one, just keep reloading until one shows up. If you haven't talked to her yet, the old salvager on dantooine is probably best for it.
  18. Well, that's what they did for Baldur's Gate, though that was for PCs as opposed to NPCs. In theory, though, only the exile need cause trouble on the appearance front. For Revan, you can just record two voices, and put him or her back in his or her awesome robes. Possibly with some alteration of those robes if Revan is light side (they could be white, I suppose).

  20. Umm...right at the start when you meet Atton, he'll talk about Revan. If you tell him that Revan was a man, he'll be referred to as one for the rest of the game.
  21. I used /1, and it worked fine for me....
  22. I am almost certain that you cannot buy the parts for your lightsaber. You have to aquire them through advancement of the plot. As to how one does this on Nar Shadaa, I can't say (am I the only one who didn't do Nar Shadaa first?), but I'm sure all you can buy from merchants are upgrade lenses and emmiters, not base ones, which is what you need to build one.
  23. Sorry, but almost all treasure in the game is generated at random. Aside from a few items, there's no definite place to get any item. But some tips on that: All loot in containers is generated when you first enter an area. You can reload a save before a particular area, and find different stuff when you go in. All merchant items are generated when you first talk to a merchant. Save before talking to one, and you can keep talking and reloading until you find what you need. Though I can't be sure that all items can appear in a merchant's inventory. Not much else I can say to help.
  24. Look in the "Cut Ending Stuff" thread. The script of the original ending is in there, and it's pretty good at making things on Malachor V make sense. Shame the original ending was cut...
