The Outrageous Graphic Signature thread
Reveilled replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Well, I can read it, and now I'm feeling lazy, and I can't remember how to drop shadow, so...nah. Maybe later. -
And there's no white button. Bah.

Brownified! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't really read the brown text... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dark Redified! -
I still have some issues with that game,I meen my kid became the best warrior but she wasn't a hero just because she was too good <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of all the times I played that game, in all but one my Kid ended up a General. And in the other one, she ended up as the queen of hell, only because I forgot to go to church the day before the end of the game. If I'd remembered, she'd have become a General. I guess I like the combat aspect and strong women too much.

Are Heavy armours any use at all? It seems to me that since Jedi can't use them, and anyone using blasters can't use them or they lose their DEX bonus to their attacks, the only people worth equipping them on are melee fighters. And the two melee fighters, Mandalore and Hanharr, can't change armour.

Ah, Princess Maker! Man, that really brings back some good memories. Memories I'd never share with anyone who wasn't on the internet, you understand, but good memories nonetheless. Anyways, I'm currently playing Neverwinter Nights and Dungeon Keeper, while devoting most of my gaming time to preparing the modules for my D&D game (I'm running the Desert of Desolation series at the moment, and the players are halfway through Pharoh), and beginning preparations for a Call of Cthulhu one-off I'm going to run as a sort of interlude in a few weeks or a month.

What's the font you're using there? I have something quite tasteless, but I can't find a good font for the text. -
Sometime in the next few months, I'm planning on running a one-off Call of Cthulhu game to give my D&D group a taste of the game before we decide whether we're going to do that or continue with out upcoming D&D campaign. However, much as I'd like to run Call of Cthulhu, unlike D&D I have no experience at running it at all. I understand that atmosphere in a Call of Cthulhu game is far more important than it is in D&D, and so I've been trying to come up with ways to make playing the game much darker and more involving. It would help my planning and execution of this a great deal if any CoC players of GMs could give me any tips or advice on how to create the right atmosphere for the game.

So when's the next patch due?
Reveilled replied to 11XHooah's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually, I'm more interested to know when they'll release the second bugfix patch. That would be the one that will fix the dialogue skipping bug, I hope. -
Waitasecond. Wasn't Bulma like, twelve in the original Dragonball? I never saw much of it, but I always thought that was them as kids...

Oh, sure, you've been on this board, so obviously that makes you so great, and gives you the right to call everyone who does not agree with you a child. Because it not like it is you that is acting like you are five years old, no sir. Obviously, Obsidian are so unoriginal too. I mean, Kreia is a Real estate company! What a shocking lack of unoriginality! I mean, there's no way that could just be a coincidence. No, no, that's just impossible. And look! Atton is a hotel in Santiago! That's so obviously not a coincidence either! Mira is an Engineering firm! And look at Goto! What sort of name is that? Obviously, that's just them stealing the phrase "Go to" and making it into a name! How bloody unoriginal! Because clearly, any name ever if it is anything like any other name ever, it has obviously been stolen from its former usage, and it is completely and utterly impossible that it could just be a coincidence. The story is so pretentious that only some self-absorbed teenager who writes supposedly deep poems about how crappy his life is could ever be entertained by it. And obviously, anyone who disagrees with this assessment is a fool. Oh, and don't forget that we should respect anyone who happens to have sat at a computer posting to a forum for longer than someone else, because that makes them the fount of all knowledge and their word must be unquestionable law.

I find this hard to picture since my revan's were all female. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe Revan was walking along on Tatooine one day, heard a thud, looked back and said "Oh, how strange! Someone's left a baby there".
-
No, the thread started said specifically that s/he picked the choices she wanted in Atton's dialogue, but Revan is still being referred to incorrectly. I too noticed this when playing. There are several times when Revan is referred to as "he" even when Revan is picked to be a woman.

Perhaps, though, if CO2 isn't such of a problem, we might be able to make a bigger difference by taking the huge amount of resources we use to tackle carbon emissions and instead using them to combat water pollution and better control of oil.

Hmm...I'd like some sort of self-satirising signature...maybe something with the caption "Kill the poor". Flattering Statement: I will never have the awsome graphic artistry talent that Kaftan has. -
My playing style is to close my eyes and imagine I have an Xbox.

The fanmade modules for NWN are simply awesome, if you pick the right ones. If you pick the wrong ones, that's bad news. I remember after I'd finished HotU, I downloaded a few that turned out to be awful, and didn't touch NWN for a year. Not so long ago, though, I picked it up again, and once I'd found a few good modules, along with the Community Expansion Pack (Capes on armour! Heraldic Shields! Frickin' awesome looking Bastard Swords!) I haven't stopped playing.

On the other hand, showing Swastikas is illegal in some countries, so the high-ups might become offended that you just effectively made their site illegal to show in several countries. -
Do you multiclass your characters in p&p sessions?
Reveilled replied to ramza's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
When the character concept calls for it, yes. I don't get the chance to be a player much (since I'm the DM), but I fondly remember my valiant Knight of the Realm who was an Aristocrat/Fighter. (the Aristocrat class was changed to balance it to regular PC classes). As the DM, multiclass NPCs come up only occasionally, because there's not much point in having a multiclass NPC when you can have two single class NPCs, unless having just one adds to the story somehow. -
Uh-oh. No mention of a dialogue skip fix. That's bad. That's very bad.

Double-you tee eff? Wow. At last. Thanks!

What are your Ability Scores?

Do you use miniatures in your p&p sessions?
Reveilled replied to ramza's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
I only use them in battles where the creatures the party faces has area-effect abilites. For instance, I'd use them in a battle with a medusa to determine who is in the line of sight. We use proper miniatures, because I inherited my Dad's old gaming stuff which had a bunch of metal miniatures and floor plans, and because several of my players used to be big warhammer fans.
