  1. Also interesting: PEGI 16 rating?
  2. Four are ok, if each of them has its own origin story at the begining. BTW: DSIII Box Art
  3. 4player.de Video preview!
  4. A lot of German previews (4players, Eurogamer.de and Krawall). Nothing new, but 4players.de will even provide a video preview, coming soon!
  5. Awesome! Can't wait for more!
  6. yeah it seems to be. Though the guy who wrote about it here went way overboard on how negative the preview is. It's actually pretty positive and informative. I'm pretty sure I never said it was an negative preview.
  7. GamersGlobal.de Preview. According to them Square Enix will announce the release date in the next few weeks. Another interesting note, they say the game is in beta... But that's surely a mistake.
  8. It's a positive preview. They confirmed that there are 9 different skills, each of them can be leveled up five times. It will be not possible to unlock all 9 skills in one playthrough. Additional there will be talents (perks), which have to be unlocked. And it will be not possible to unlock all talents in one playthrough.
  9. I know it may be too late. It seems like it's very easy to remove the quest compass in the PC version. Could Obsidian add such a option for Hardcore mode with the upcoming DLC for the console version? That's something I would reeally appreciate.
  10. I read a preview in the 360 Live Magazin. They attended an event in Hamburg, where they could play the 360 version. The preview ist not very long: - According to them you can choose between heroes, who are a warrior, mage, archer, angel and more... - The story will be told through very detailed artworks (so no 3D cutscenes). - They think the characters are not very detailed (low-textured armors, static facial expression and the eyes look very 'lifeless'). But that's something what Obsidian is working on, according to Alvin, they say. - The hero will be full-voiced
  11. The link should work now, I hope.

BioShock 2 (7/10) 8. Red Dead Redemption (7/10) 9. Dragon Age - Awakening (7/10) 10. The Force Unleashed II (4/10) 11. Civilization 5 (2/10) But there is a big gap between 9 and 10/11.

  17. Yeah, it was just a typo. I was a little bit in a hurry yesterday. Gently was the word they used ("Loot, explains Davis, is only gently randomized. Some stats will be different from game to game, but not names, and many of the items - particularly rare ones - are hand-placed.") As for the mouse being more forgiving, that's actually how they quoted Feargus: "When you're playing an action RPG on the PC, when you don't exactly hit the creature that you attack, you then walk to where you clicked. So what we're playing around with right now is that the game is a little more forgiving with the mouse aim, and does that for you. If you're near a creature, it'll swing the sword for you." I don't know what they mean with the Character releationship ("You'll have relationship with other non-hero characters, but it won't be as complicated as, say, Dragon Age, and you'll never upset anyone enough to leave your party.").
  18. I have read this very quickly, so sorry if some points are confusing. - Mouse and keyboard controls haven't been calibrated to the point where Obsidian/Square Enix are willing to let outsiders play on them - Game is still at pre-alpha - The King's daughter (Jeyne Kassyndar blamed the 10th Legion for the fall of King - The King did fall at a time of warring factions - The Legion was hunted down by Kassyndor's forces - According to PC Gamer, there are no classes - There is no class selection screen - Lucas Montbarren can distribute his skill points into three stances (One-handed, two-handed weapons and healing defensive stance) - You can select three powers for Lucas at early levels, with six more powers opening at higher levels - According to PC Gamer, DSIII does not have the strategic depth or character development of Diablo - Loot is only gently randomized - Each stance has its own set of three special attacks - Nine skills, each of them has two branches - You get an extra bonus for maxing out a particular talent - There are combos (automatic animations) that trigger on the third attack - The game is a little more forgiving with the mouse aim - No one to nine hockey system - Character relationship won't be as complicated as in Dragon Age - You can not upset the NPC enough to leave your party - You can define your character as forgiving, vengeful, loyal or practical and party members will react to that - No classes, but different heroes (Most fantasy archetypes will be represented) - "The levellin-up screen isn't as daunting - or as compelling - as a big, lovely skill tree."

  22. Playing AC: Brotherhood as well and I agree. I just finished sequence 4 and there is still so much to do. All the side missions, as well as the tombs are much, much better integrated into the world. Love recruting new assassins and send them on missions. AC II and AC:B do work very well together. Now it's really a epic tale of Ezio ( ).
  23. Finished AC2. What a fantastico game. Leonardo Da Vinci is just brilliant, just brilliant. That being said, dialogue is again fantastic, as well as the other characters and main story. Loved how they added new layers of storytelling, e.g. Subject 16 videos and the codex pages. But somehow sequence 13 felt out of place (I know this was cut out from the original release and sold as DLC). But Enzio had a nice speach at the end of this sequence, which I like. Being able to customize Enzio by buying weapons and armor as well as to upgrade Monteriggioni was a nice little thing. Nethertheless, gameplay is still not perfect. Combat is far to easy and there are a lot of useless side missions. Collecting feathers is just a pain in the ass, although you get a nice ingame reward. Treasures become very quick useless. I think I will start playing AC:Brotherhood singleplayer tomorrow.
