  1. Hah! I thought I was the only one! I too thought that scene was great, it brough a tear to my eye to hear him say that the Exile was beautiful to him, and it really made it easy to persuade him to let go of the Force and be in peace. Atton, you've got some competition!
  2. I also remember a conversation with Carth where he expresses his admiration for your fighting skills and the way you handle yourself. You get to ask if he's made any other observations and he says something to the effect of "yes, but I hope you'll let me keep those to myself, if you don't mind."
  3. This has always happened to me too. And if it has to do with him getting killed, where would that have happened? After the fight with the HK-50 droids there's always the opportunity to heal everyone before venturing into the academy.
  4. Many of these dialogue options look like nasty DS insults, if you skim them too quickly and don't think about how they might be said. If you always choose the most goody-goody LS milksop option, you can miss the flirting altogether. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Be that as it may, they do exist.
  5. Yeah, I think it was definitely bugged. I've seen screenshots that were taken prior to the game's release where Force Sight had been activated and it seemed to dull everything else in the area except for your enemies who would be turned red, blue, or grey depending on their Force alignment. I'm not sure what advantage this really gives you, however, other than being a neat little addition if you were to walk into a cantina and use Force Sight just for fun to see whether the Bith musicians were evil or not.
  6. Hmm, but don't forget that Juhani had been following a Dark Side path prior to her joining your party, and she continues to struggle with that choice throughout the course of the game; she would have fulfilled the requirement for an evil Jedi, from a certain point of view. EDIT: And, I just remembered, of course Bastila turns to the Dark Side after her confrontation with Malak!
  7. There are some dialogue choices throughout the game that will have Carth respond in a flirtatious manner, allowing the PC to respond in kind. An example is when he finally apologizes for distrusting your character and you reply with "Is that your idea of an apology?" and it goes on from there to include an exchange suggesting a make-up kiss or something. That's only one example, mind you, and sometimes the dialogue choices aren't always obvious as to what will spawn the flirting. Having played the Carth romance extensively in Kotor 1, and what passes for romance in Kotor 2, I have to disagree with your assessment. Though I really enjoyed the Atton/Disciple banter and cutscenes, in reality, those don't involve Atton and the Exile at all; they don't further the "relationship" itself. I wish that after having made him a Jedi with full influence that there would have been more dialogue options with him.
  8. Ok I'll try... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be the auxillary console that controls the the secondary systems such as the containment fields. I think you need to use the power distribution program to make it so that the hatch that leads back to the Ebon Hawk is controlled by the auxillary power system, then go to the bridge and shut down the auxillary system, effectively opening the hatch. I'm not sure on this, though.
  9. Yuthura Ban. Great character. If you turned her away from the Dark Side (persuasion 15 or greater, a few dialogues and plot choices) you had a chance to see her at the academy (if you didn't leave Korriban as alst planet). It seems that originally she would have had a greater role as party member: I don't know if they dropped her in favour of the cat(har)-woman (God how I hated her, her voice, her wimpy character!) or if she was meant as a replacement once Bastila leaves with Malak <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to say that I doubt she was ever intended to be a party member. Yuthura Ban was a very well-liked character by players of the first game, and there was much hoping and complaining by people who thought she'd make a great party member. However, I believe she was just another interesting character in the game, and never intended for anything more. Certainly she made quite an impact, though I myself never really thought so.
  10. What are you talking about? There's going to be a Kotor 2.5?
  11. Wow, I checked out your site and all the art that you have there and it's incredible! What's even more amazing is that you used the same head for female Revan that I did, and the same for the female Exile.
  12. Well, be that as it may, I've gotten plenty of XP and components in other ways. I still prefer Destroy Droid to disabling or recovering mines.
  13. That's because Atton's a real man. Anyway, if you're playing DS then I can confirm your alignment doesn't have an effect on it because I'm doing LS now and that convo still won't come up. I too have intentionally lost influence with Disciple just to be sure Atton was the only one. Sometimes this game is so frustrating!
  14. In my current game I've got a higher influence with Atton than with Disciple (I haven't even bothered to make him a Jedi, just Atton, Mira, and Bao-Dur). I keep approaching Mira every once in awhile to try to get that convo about Atton and the Exile being "intimate" but it doesn't happen. I got it when I had higher influence with Disciple in a different game, but not Atton.
  15. I used to feel this way as well, until I started investing in it and discovered it can also destroy some mines. Since I don't use mines in the game, I didn't care about not being able to retrieve them, and being able to set them off all at once from a safe distance is invaluable at times.
  16. Unfortunately, I played K2 with the very first ending I did for K1, DS Female. I didn't complete the Carth romance properly so he ended up running away on the Unknown World. Can someone briefly outline what Carth says in K2 if you say that Revan was LS?
  17. There are millions of these threads in the forum now, but I suppose this one is as good as any to post my own impressions, however brief. I was in love with this game until I started to get the needling little impression that the ending was going to fall short of my expectations. My first big shock was landing on Malachor V and not seeing a single one of my party members beside me. The second big shock was turning around and seeing a completely dilapidated Ebon Hawk, further worrying me that my allies were all crushed inside. My third big shock was realizing that the game was going to end without a chance to speak to any of my party members again. So basically, the ending just fell much in the same way the Hawk did during that cutscene where it looks like Malachor is swallowing it. Again, I loved it until the ending began to unravel. I only wish there'd been more time for them to establish the endings they had planned.
  18. Although I had some trouble completely understanding it at first, I found this exchange to be one of the most powerful in the game. Here you have yourself as the Exile and if you're following the path of the light, you've been graciously helping others throughout the galaxy whilst attempting to reunite the Jedi Masters. You think you're doing a good job, that your efforts will be appreciated, and that you're acting as an example of what the Jedi can once more become. So you bring the remaining masters together on Dantooine and listen to their counsel. Then they hit you with the "truth" of your condition, and I don't know about anyone else, but I pretty much sat there in horror while I listened to them discuss me as a "wound in the force". The fact that you've been proclaiming your trust in the Council's wisdom seems to insist that you would be shocked at their decision to exile you once more...but you concede to their wishes anyway, for the greater good. Anyway I'm rambling, basically I watched myself fall to the ground like a crumpled little figure, continuing to lie there unconscious while Kreia condemned the Masters for what they tried to do to me. It's a smack in the face to all of them that they almost ruined their last hope, and seems to emphasize that you really were the last true Jedi as the others have become blinded to the way a Jedi should behave.
  19. I strongly agree. Both male and female relationships may be lacking, but I think the female one lacks a little bit more. There should have been more dialogue options with Atton after you've trained him to become a Jedi. And there should have been follow-up to certain cutscenes such as where he watched the Exile and the Disciple meditate with Kreia. Mira almost calls him out on his feelings and threatens to decipher them eventually, but nothing more is heard from that. There could've been a little more flirting, even if it wasn't as "in your face" as that between Carth and Revan from Kotor I. The worst thing is, you never know if he loved you or not until you listen to Kreia's premonitions of the future. There should've been something. I know this particular point would have been solved with the ending that had been planned, however.
  20. I used a deadly sonic mine and it opened...for all that effort all I got was a lousy repair part.
