  1. It’s not clear if Rekke’s god has godlikes, but Yezhua has plenty of mutants.
  2. I discovered that during the wizard megaboss fight you can temporarily disable the sigils by affecting them with arcane dampener or arcane cleanse. Hopefully that fact ends up being useful to someone.
  3. From what I understand, each godlike option requires a lot of work from the team's art pipeline. Given that it has been stated that the Forgotten Sanctum is the last paid DLC for Deadfire, I assume that the paid DLC team has largely moved on to other projects at this point as the Forgotten Sanctum comes out this week. So, no, it does not seem very likely. On the other hand, if Obsidian remains happy with the work they did with Deadfire, a prospective sequel that reused the art assets from Deadfire might mean that there could be more godlike options in that project. But that's just guesswork at this point.
  4. I believe this is the ring that was mentioned above: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Ring_of_Reset
  5. A “small” buff you say? How about this: Small, but Mighty. Once per rest, the Ancient reduces their size by half and receives an additional +1 Power Level to all Beast and Plant abilities for 60 seconds. In the tooltip, the effect from the ability can be referred to as “Munchkinized.”
  6. Yes! The lack of any abilities that modify Holy Radiance is a huge bummer in Deadfire. I was hoping that priest-only trinkets might have brought something like this back, but it looks like that was never in the cards.
  7. You should be fine to start your new game now. I cannot think of a time where a beta patch for Deadfire caused a conflict with the actual patch.
  8. What would the reactivity even look like? You already have the option to let the execution proceed. I am not sure how being part of the Steel Garrote generally would require any acknowledgement from the Inquisitor. Maybe there could be an option to offer to personally execute Oswald on the spot? If that were to be the case, an unvoiced response from the Inquistor nodding and gesturing towards Oswald might work, but I have no idea how much work that would take to implement.
  9. Sounds like a fighter on LSD. "Woooh. Everything is moving in slow-motion. I can see the threads of the universe and every living being is connected. I parry your blade with ease as it moves like a sloth through grass. ..... THE SPIDERS! THE PURPLE RATSPIDERS ARE CRAWLING UP MY LEGS! ARGHHHH!" "We can't stop here, this is skuldrak country!" - The Tactician
  10. Well, Dorudugan, the Helfire Colossus has bit the dust. The Essence Interrupter and Lord Daryn's Voluge are great in this battle, because Dorudugan's lowest armor rating is for shock damage. Its second lowest armor rating is for blunt damage. As mentioned above, fire damage will heal the construct. I even tried "overloading" the construct by throwing a ton of fire damage at it, but there does not be seem to be a real trick to managing this battle other than doing a lot of manual positioning to avoid the special attacks used by the construct. As far as its abilities, it has a cleaving attack that temporarily lowers the target's maximum health by 15%, it can send a large number of delayed fireballs (which will heal it), it uses a modified version of pull of Eora to draw in enemies closer to it and knock them prone on a crit, and it can use an ability called "Helfire Storm," which causes the ground to erupt with fire after a short delay. Edit: And now Sigilmaster Auranic, the mage megaboss, is no more. She does have a "surprise" attack when her HP gets low, but it is pretty underwhelming. Potions of Improved Arcane Deflection really come in handy here, as do all of the reflection spells to handle the sigils attacks, which vary between affliction heavy, damaging, and buff cleansing. Each sigil casts one spell, and each sigil is protected by a globe of invulnerability when it is inactive, but the DoT from Gouging Wound still seems to work even when the sigils are invulnerable. A fun fight, but I am not sure how I feel about how it ends, because as soon as you take down the sigils and the boss runs out of spells, she just autoattacks while you whittle down her HP. I was half expecting a new sigil to pop up once I destroyed them all, but perhaps that was not feasible to implement for whatever reason.
  11. So I just did a preliminary look at the Helfire Colossus, his fireballs are not that bad. There is a delay between the fireballs landing and detonating, so you can move your party out of the way before they explode. I need to tweak my party composition before I try a serious attempt, but the real pain is that it is immune to mind afflictions, interrupts, poisons and diseases, and it is resistant to body afflictions.
  12. I have not had a chance to try out the new bosses yet, but Revku's Scorched Cloak (Burn Damage heals the wearer when the wearer is injured) should be very useful during the fight against the construct.
  13. The Blood Mage looks great! Will any of the encounters in Forgotten Sanctum have hostile NPCs that use the new subclasses? It would be nice to see how the designers build an encounter around the new abilities.
  14. New clown subclass confirmed. Ur unique ability is that u can drive the little car without the doors falling off and increased range on custard pies. Clearly you are referring to the chanter “juggalo” subclass, who intimidates his opponents with his fiercesome chants regarding the mysterious nature of magnetism and ancient architecture while swilling sugary brightly colored potions.
  15. The best I can find is that it appears to be a random drop, but I may have misunderstood the findings that were presented in this thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/102230-unavailable-content-research-lets-discuss/page-5
  16. So, beta patch for 4.0 in two weeks then?
  17. Well, this is now officially happening: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/106833-update-58-the-forgotten-sanctum-preview/
  18. Well, if you wanted to solo the fight you could use the Lockdown ability of the Gauntlets of the Dungeon Warden. A successful use Lockdown would remove one of the oozes for a base effect of 15 seconds. Alternately, a single class wizard might also work, as Temporal Coccoon has a similar effect.
  19. It should be available as a passive ability. If you have hit the level cap, then pay for retraining at a merchant.
  20. Did you guys decide to cut one of the mega bosses? The initial DLC timeline listed a total of five mega bosses.
  21. I used the Essence Interrupter during my most recent playthrough and I did not notice any missing loot, so I am fairly confident that bug is fixed.
  22. There is still supposed to be a novella forthcoming, but we have not heard anything about it since release.
  23. Well, I just tested the fight out again using the Essence Interrupter, and once again Hauani o Whe did not split into smaller oozes after reaching 0 HP, rather, it turned into one Xaurip. I am not sure if this qualifies as a bug, as the Essence Interrupter is working as advertised, but at the same time it does seem to be reducing the challenge of this megaboss.
  24. The effects are: Self: Invisible, Stunned, Untargetable for 12.0 seconds (base). Allied Target: +100 Max Health, +4 Power Levels for 12.0 seconds (base).
