Things you wish a KOTOR2 character would say......
Xacharia replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Somethingawful.com ? :D -
I think the droid is rigged to explode. What concerns the ending, yes its just plain bad.
-
The main reason why I felt dissapointed with K2 is probably because I was expecting something at least nearly as awesome as Torment. The worst part that K2 actually resembles PS:T but in a bad way.
-
Some of the dark side faces were pretty bad. I choose that blad chinese with the goatee and I never EVEN develop one vein. I just got very very pale. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whew thanks man maybe I'll give it another run than (but Atton still looks disturbing)
-
The only character in the films that looks nearly as hidious is the emperor. Even Darth Vader without his mask looks much better than my character in KOTOR2. Count Duka actually looks normal, he isn't a particularly handsome man but he hasn't a SKIN SICKNESS. The game gives you choice between dark and light side of the force, so both should be equally rewarding for the player depending on his or her personal preference. And if I play DS I feel SORRY for they guy!!! Like "oh come on man, don't die now, just drag on till the end of the game and than go to the hospital and get cured" <---- thats how I felt. EDIT: And it might seem weird to you but I actually restarted the game when I saw the DS "Jesus" face, so I changed it. DS Jesus just looks completely obscene with his usual expression of "joyful surprise"
-
Another thing - the faces !!!! How did they come up with this scaled monstrocity ??? I'd take KOTOR1 "heroin junkie" dark side face any time. I actually made my character wearing mask for half of the game even though I had better headgear, just because I couldn't bear his looks. I fealt like clicking on medpack button continuosly until he gets cured of his skin cancer or whatever it is. The first time I played this game I played DS and I can't make myself to play it again because of how dissapointed I felt about the ending, and how disgusted I felt with their looks.

I think Saberist is mad
-
Yes, it just falls through the floor....a bit
-
Korriban. The only planet that didn't have those annoying people and their tedious tasks
-
Well, yes, but it was interesting! For me at least, or maybe I just liked why he is doing what he's doing. At least it was refreshing compared to moral dilemmas (handmaiden), pointless babbling about the "truely despicable terrible things" (Visas).
-
He is the sexiest droid alive Maybe its just contrast with other characters, who tend whine and babble and hesitate too much.
-
I liked G0-T0 a lot Actually I liked him more than...........Visas
-
Can someone spill about handmaiden?
Xacharia replied to SWfanfromwayback's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You should also talk to Kreya after some sparring sessions with Handmaiden, and Kreya will give some information on Handmaiden's parents, which would enable some dialogue. -
You should, Hanharr is deep In a low int high wis way. He and T-3 were the real suprises when it came to dialogue. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know, I just wasn't interested in him. Basically he was like I told Atton "A beast to draw some laser fire", don't remember the exact words.
-
I liked it for some reason None of these annoying people, with their little problems, distracting you from what needs to be done
-
I liked G0T0. His reasoning for doing what he does is flawless, interesting story too. I actually I found him to be one of my favourite characters. Hanharr was my least favourite, never even spoke to him.

Let me try this again. Revan was stripped of the Force in KotOR 1, not 2. In 2 ..something else happened. The Fortress was something entirely different from Malachor V - Malachor was a planet. The Fortress was something else - it's been a while, so I don't remember exactly what it was, but it wasn't a planet.. more like TNO's creation Any good RPG will (should, IMO) have suffering and betrayal and regret and insurmountable odds. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, the exile does ask every jedi he meets why was he separated from the force, so the separation is a fact. Fortress of Regrets was TNO's creation, but Malachor was exile's creation in a way too. He was one of the people that destroyed the planet. I still don't understand why didn't the other jedi became a "hole" in the force too, there were many jedi at Malachor I think.
-
But why not? I already pointed out some of their similiarities plot-wise.
-
Yeah, I know its supposed to be like that, but copying PS:T so heavily gives bad impression anyway
-
Ok thanks, it makes some sence now. Still its pretty frustrating, how she manipulated you all the way, and you followed along like a silly dummy Another thing that spoiled my experience was how TSL mimics Torment. Man stripped of mortality - man/woman stripped of the force Fortress of regrets - Malachor V bonds, influence over companions - tormented souls drawn to TNO's greater torment. Besides all this talk of exile's "suffering", how "wounded" he or she is, also very Tormen-esque. And it doesn't really make TSL better, as PS:T had better story IMO
-
yeah I've forgotten about that. But it is annoying that when you have him as party member he doesn't give out his name. Handmaiden is also annoying for the same reason. EDIT: They could at least have used some fake names <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Handmaiden tells you her name, after you are done with Atris.
-
Visas? I found her to be a complete non-entity. Maybe its because I couldn't davnce her dialogue any deeper than her talk about her planet. :"> But this "romance" cut-scene after Dantuine was lame. Two red shapes sitting in front of each other? How was that supposed to help her get over the depressing stuff Nihilus showed her? Whatever it was.
-
I've just finished the game as DS, and I'm confused. I had a conversation with Kreya, than trown her down into the planet's core. Than, there was a short movie that showed space and some nebula. Than the credits. What does this all mean? Did I avert this very vague "death of the force" disaster, that everyone spoke about? If so, how did I do it? Why didn't I have a choice whether to avert it or not? What happened to G0-T0 and the remote, and this "shadow generator" thing ? What happened to my party members? Did they all die with the Ebon Hawk? Whats with the bond with Kreya, why didn't I die when she died? Did Atton die too, I think someone mentioned that he died, but I didn't see him die. Please someone answer my questions, because I'm really dissapointed about the game, right now.

Can we truly judge Obsidian based solely on KOTOR2
Xacharia replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I of course respect Obsidian, since some of their team are responcible for PS:T and Baldurs Gate. But its their first attepmt to do something since the dissolution if the Black Isle. Kind of a test to show everyone "We can still do it", and TSL doesn't quite show it IMO. -
KOTOR2 Ending Mod: Help Requested
Xacharia replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Breaking the law for one thing. Read the small print in the back of the manual. LA have removed mods before as well as demanded the removal of SW related material from web sites. You couldnt say for sure it would happen. But might is a distinct possibility especially if you piss them off by crowing about restoring the ending they ripped away and stuff like that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Basically you can modify the files of this game however you want. Or even DELETE them (w00t) Also I don't see how they'd stop you from sharing those modified files
