Just finished The Longest Journey.
I feel kind of letdown. I mean, sure, it was an ending, not unfinished or anything, but I was kind of hoping more.
Well, on to Dreamfall then, when it hits the 30 euros range.
I think, not counting balance of course, that servos might be the problem. If it had some decent servo systems, he might get the unit to walk.
But it's wicked cool anyways, a real mech. :D
Blue Lotus, an oriental fantasy total conversion for RTW.
There's a few ratehr nasty bugs related to settlements, but otherwise it's a very good release for an open beta. Nothing exactly gamekilling.
And it's damned fun fighting Zhangshuo(like Ming Dynasty) as Khrishnapur(Mauryan Kingdom) or holding back the Yomi Empire(demons) as Zensen(second Japanese faction).
You would probably like IWD 2, it doesn't have the same problems, but the gameplay is essentially dungeonhacking, very enjoyable and well-done dungeonhacking with great writing, but hacking still.
I'm thinking how I just got into Joutsenon Opisto and how gaming is out of the picture for the next nine(9) months, starting 28th of this month.
And I'm contemplating on how awesome that is. I'm rewriting religion/theology and literature on the upcoming matriculation exams though, so the next few weeks will be...hectic.
The Longest Journey is just awesome, it's just that it's obvious the devs rushed the last third of the game. Last two chapters took me 5 minutes and I'm at chapter 10 of 13 now.
