What Music Are You Currently Listening To?
Musopticon? replied to Darth Launch's topic in Way Off-Topic
So damn good. Names like Genies, Sorcerers and Mesopotamian Nights are so cheesy, but the mix of black metal and crazy Arabian prog is just too good. This is officially the point I no longer like Spinefarm, this album is just too Finnish, not bad, but I don't get why they are so highly praised by us. Old-skool, pretty much the oldest possible skool. I like Edge of Sanity-like fusion death more, but ya gotta know your roots, right? Prog rock with teensy bits of death in the mix. A solo project of the EoS-braintrust Dan Swan -
That's why I didn't mention going to the movies as a hobby, it's not a passion as such. Reading on the other hand, well, let's just say that I pretty much loot second hand shops.

Saturn Knight looks so much like Guardian that it's ridiculous.
-
Yes, acquisition of music by any means necessary is a fine hobby.

I am going to burn Rome. Will take a week or so.
-
Books, music, cycling, Roman genocide.

Best part was playing golf. With zombie's heads.

Report back whether you found the katana or not. :D
-
Yeah, with a fifteen minute time limit. It has five endings though.
-
Yeah, I remember doing it in the demo. You could only transport yourself through the front.
-
Not that this has anything to do with the topic, but since that game is set on the third age(or possibly the fourth), it's superb that the devs use locations that are not in the movies.
-
Wait, so you can convert your game from Crusader Kings to Victoria to HoI2? Because that sounds like pretty much the longest campaign ever.

I actually played Blackthorne for the first time a while ago, and it really has aged well, suprisingly. Even the art direction is still decent and has that Blizzard-look on it. Lost Vikings was probably the second SNES games I ever played and I bought the sequel the second I found it from a store. I have nothing but pure love for those games.

For the record(do we have a record?); I'm not pro-abortion because she is hideous, but because I can't really call the kind of existence she is going to lead when she gets older "living". If I got bullied because my sister was a [backward-slow], I can't imagine what's going to happen to a girl with a deformed face. And living a sheltered life isn't really living either. EDITs by Cantousent. The removed word is peculiar in that it isn't a swear word and yet it's the word I've been asked to delete most often.

Yes, you dhould be drunk. Do I have congratulate you? I mean, it's kinda obvious I'm happy for you without going to any verbal lengths.

It's more like Blizzard took the whole space marines vs. ugly genobastards-theme from Warhammer 40k. Even the power armors look akin. Not to mention that Eldar are pretty damn similar to Protoss; both have a honor-based warrior culture, both are humanoid telepaths and kinetics and extremely xenophobic. Edit: Durnk tpying

I have a new most annoying enemy. Those damn sandworms! I can take the Harkonnens but everytime I go off to attack them with my overwhelming forces, a sand worm pops up from underneath the sand taking out half my troops. Hates them so much. Need more raid... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you need either distractors, thumber troops or worm riders. OF course you can always sacrifice a few cheapo units by sending to the desert first, Shai-Hulud will won't attack right away, so those guys can buy you time. That game has the awesomest soundtrack ever. Fits Herbert's world like a glove. Kaftypafty: I'll so get Dreamfall then, I had got the impression that it was somehow a bad game, so this is good news indeed. Oh, and just for kickzors, go and conquer Crete and Rhodos right away, the locals can't defend themselves for crap(minus Cilician pirates, but you are Rome, so they are a pushover) and pre-BI AI doesn't know how to transport troops much at all. You get a crapload of income from those Islands alone. There's actually a set AI behaviour for the different factions(they are named like Genghis, Caesar and Attila, balanced, fortified and agressive, etc) and only Britannia has a behaviour that favors naval invasions. So Punic Wars and things like that are pretty much impossible, unless it's you who is invading. A pity that.

It's funny how much they took from Games Workshop. I mean, Tyranids anyone?

I don't think it's possible to replace half of your facial bone structure. Not to mention "installing" new bone there.

Kaftan: But is Dreamfall worth buying if you can get it from teh bargain binzor? About the formation in RTW, if you have an updated version, click and hold with your second mouse button on the officer in a unit squad and then move the cursor around to change formation width and facing, you can also change facing with "," and "."-keyes. There's no gesture-click though, which sucks bigtime, still you can change your entire army's facing by just pressing ctrl+a and then using using the above methods. Kikkelimies: That'd be Thief 2. Funny what you can manage with a bit of fog and good choice of textures, eh? Edit: Gesture-click is the system Ground Control and Myth use. After choosing units you can command them to move to a spot and then hold and drag to command them to change to the facing you want them to have when they arrive. Then again, you could move backwards in those games too, hehheh.

Yeah, I thought that too.

You know when you have too much time on your hands

And World Domination also. -
I don't understand how the mage path was supposed to be hard in the original game. Sure, it takes a bit of effort at the start, before you have any spells, but if you raise your strength to something like 65 so you can weild the artifact weapon from the aztecy ruins, Orcslayer or something as lame, first two chapters are a breeze. And then you get spells enough to blast anything and everything. I thought playing as Mercenary was way harder. It was freaking impossible to kill off the orc army in the first Valley of Mines chapter. Then again, I guess I could have buffed my crossbow skills. As a Paladin it was a breeze, since the paladin spells are so cheesy.

Fat naked rave? Edit: I think I just realised what that is, which is even more disturbing.
