That can majorly suck, Deraldin. I remember a couple of instances were I somehow lost a presentation for a history course and had to redo tons of work. This time it's different though, I actually like the subject I'm writing about. Rewriting is a joy. What I'm really angry and flay-y about is the fact that some ****wit deleted every last document and text file I had on the network. And I was the only one who that happened to. Only thing that was left was this swanky new avatar of mine. Oh ****, I just remembered that I should be studying grammar too.

Well, it gave a real reason to get to writing, so, besides whacking my head against a wall, I'm writing now. The subject is interesting anyway, I'm writing about the concept of "American" identity and how much such writers as Locke and Paine had an effect on it during and right after the Revolution period. Then I shall write about Boston in the 1770's.

About the light and darkside: I don't think you can interpret dark side as "eveil" or as the notion people seem to usually call evil. I think it's more likely that the dark side or "falling to the dark side" and all the insanity and skin afflections, etc that follow are just a backlash from the use of the force for acts that pervert or twist the natural order. Seizing control of life, killing or destruction all go under that. You could argue that since force exists in everything - in all living(Yuuzhan Vong doesn't count)- messing with the force is messing with nature and life itself. The act of playing god - seizing control of a life is nothing short of opression.

Isn't all entertainment escapism? Mind you, I'm not putting any negative traits into escapism. I think it's well and good. I don't think there's any need for stimulation, and in my opinion it just follows that our imagination(if we go by the normal Joe's traits) is not lacking.
