You named her Laozi(Lao-Tse?)? The puppy is cute, but you've put some weight, Kor.

Movies You Have Seen Lately
Yeah, he was dull, but didn't degrade the series for me. Fortunately, Children of Dune doesn't have him very much and the parts he's in, he plays a minor role.

Ah, alright. I misinterpreted.

Vampire: The Masquerade
Yeah, Spider mentions that he hasn't played oWoD, but I think anyone would find the large amount of established source material enticing. Of course, that's just me. The world is more intricate, yet, since there's a lot of fluff. Therefore, a storyteller can just use existing stuff to base a game on. You do know what fluff is?

How was your day?
I just got to know I'm one of the better students of my level, chances of getting into univerity=skyrocket. Also, my pal borrowed me his x-box along with Halo 1, 2, Mercenaries and Ninja Gaiden.

Saw Appleseed, which was awesome. Best hard scifi ova ever. FF 12 was also fine.

Movies You Have Seen Lately
that the miniseries one? i've been thinking about grabbing that as well. it was pretty good (and the chick who plays Alia is hot) The miniseries was pretty damn good. I would have liked if Jennifer would have gotten more screen time(favorite character), but besides that it was a great series.

I want Chapterhourse:Dune, but I can't find it. I'm reading nothing at the moment, besides more linguistics. I might start Robin Hobb's Ship of Magic though.

Vampire: The Masquerade
Because it is possible to tap into the existing fluff? Maybe he just enjoys oWoD more. I do.

We are actually doing our own adventure. Well, the gm is doing it and I'm telling him what not to do without actually being of any help. B

How was your day?
Woke after 4,5 hours of sleep to get coffee, attended social studies classes which was decent fun, I'm a auditative learner supposedly. After that, spent three hours writing notes about the formation of US constitution and government. Then finished Montgomery's Ways of Reading and got more coffee. Dinner was pizza, which means a horrible pan of roadkill and cheese, but it was cheap enough. Read some Lodge's structural criticism and agreed. Now I'm contemplating on whether to sleep to awaken for even more coffee or watch an episode of Mushishi and one of Bleach. This Noir soundtrack is very good though, so I'm not bored. A nice enough day, all in all.

Icewind Dale Revisited - GameBanshee Feature
Awesome offensive spells and wildshape forms. Yes, my favorite caster in any game by far. Crushing wave+spiked stones+entangle=awesomeness. Too bad about the lack of raise dead spell. That's why I always had both druid and a cleric(leader, who I sometimes multied to fighter).

Top 25 PC Games of All Time
I finished it in three sessions, each 5 hours. Decent fun, but has nothing on FF7. It's a shallow romp that doesn't actually have any rpg attributes. Leveling happens each time you kill a boss monster and you grow more powerful, but there's no stat distribution although a character screen is available, which means the numbers are really irrelevant, not to mention leveling. They could have just made the game a pure hack, since the only similarity it has with rpgs is loot and frequent weapon upgrades. As for FF7, both games share the animation "style" and big swords - that's it. Personally, I liked some of the weapons(like the magic system with orbs) and the fighting was fun for a while thanks to the ctrl-mouse-movement-system and enemy toughness, but it felt more like work after enemies started to become pushovers. Music was a highpoint though. The only reason I actually played it was the horrible review it got in a local mag and because I got it for free in a compilation.
