Best LARP I ever saw a cyberpunk joint effort in an old bombing shelter converted to a dystopian slumscape. Superbly nerdy, but it is the only place you can knock a pulserifle to some punks askin for free creds' without folks laughing their asses off.

Halo PC is one of the (two) grudges I have against Gearbox. Two new superweapons added to multiplayer. I do kind of like the rocket warthog, though. The PC version of Halo only enforced the truth about the game, in that it is a steaming turd of a game. Or that you just don't have friends aka co-op. The single-player is stupid, and so is anyone who actually rates the game by it. Co-op+couch+beverages=instawin.

I played Warcraft 3 so much before I relaised I actually don't like it. I really like Azeroth and all the characters, but the game is just so lacklustre compared to Starcraft. A hero-driven clickfest and microhell in multiplayer. Starcraft had strategy, WC 3 is nothing. God, I wish they would gone with the original plan(post-WC Adventures), which was more akin to Myth than Diablo. Thrall as a main character would worked better anyway. Granted, the whole corrupt human plutocrats against the heroic orcish freedom fighters isn't the most original of premises, but the narrative could have supported the small-team of hero-led separatists gameplay model. The game looked to be aspiring to a likeness of Shiny's Sacrifice, which might have been anything but bad. That is all past though. WC 3 is fun if you find a good opponent in multiplayer, but is has nothing on Starcraft. Not to mention DoW or Ground Control 2 now years later.

I think the game is in prety sad state right now, so the patch size is to be expected. I'm thinking Ultima:Ascension bad here. I hope they re-release Gothic 3 in some kind of Gold Edition eventually. Downloading over a gig of files for a patch doesn't sound inviting at all.

Mythic difficulty is even better - enemies last like 20 times more hits. There's going to be quite a bit more events like assaulting the Scarab. Hope you don't mind banshees though.

Halo 2 does the co-op even better, since you can't respawn at all on Legendary. The difficulty is really mindshattering at first.

A bunch of us students sat on the porch today, read for exams and listened to a dormmate playing guitar while the first spring rays started to wake the earth. ****ing ace.

The Vigoorian Flail. You can run really long combos with that and generate loads of essence. In Black, I loved using Lunar (the staff) against any enemies with quick movement. It had such a huge area and was so fast that it made up for the relatively low damage. That was the one! Nice long combos and you could hit people all around you with some of them. I'd run into the middle of the groups of ghost fish and just start swinging and about 90% of the time I wouldn't get hit by a single one of them. Also the most effective weapon against the Berserkers (Only on Very Hard and up in Ninja Gaiden Black) I did a couple of Vigoorian combos againts the flying fishes in Labyrinth and everyone around the tv was sold.

If this is the "perfect evolution of the standard build and rush RTS", then what is Dark Crusade? Or is it categorized as something akin to Total War series now, with teh inclusion of world map and out-of-battle strategy. Heh, no that it matters, I'm gonna acquire Tiberium Wars come hell or high water. Or hail, though I'd prefer the crystals to be small.

Just went through the last three missions of Halo on co-op. Tomorrow starts Halo 2. Edit: Co-op is just the ****.

Why did we start this Codex talk again? It never leads anywhere. Not that I can or will change that, just saying. I like the place, it's like a mall: Angry people in an enclosed space, but once the **** hits the fan, fun from a distance. And dig deeper, you can find almost anything. I occasionally read the the fora and can agree that it takes all sorts to form a community. The stereotype of codexers as rabid crpg elitists couldn't be more far from the truth. Just like not everyone here is a complete git in exile from other fora(aka dumb****), although that often is the perceived image. And baby arm is awesome.
