  1. There is hunting for sport.
  2. Just wondering. Note: *People Eating Tasty Animals. **People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
  3. Ummm, I believe I was agree with something you wrote, albeit in a somewhat animated fashion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well you started talking about "the FPS crowd" and "multiplayer" and I was just interested as to why you started talking about those particular topics when I said nothing about them.
  4. Recently I've read The Scarlet Letter by Hawthorne, The Orchid Thief by Orlean, The Virtue of Selfishness by Ayn Rand, Catcher in the Rye by Salinger, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Kesey, and I am soon going to start reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. But for fun I read the Harry Potter series and the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini because they are a nice escape from the crazy world we live in. I really do recommend the Inheritance Trilogy, Eragon; Eldest; and the last book Paolini is currently working on, because he tries to mix in some light philosophy in to his writing and his writing style showcases his love of nature and the outdoors but never gets in the way of the story which in a way is sort of epic.
  5. I think KOTOR would be the perfect game for new content releases.....roleplayers don't need to keep up with the FPS crowd...we want CONTENT! KOTOR can never go multiplayer as that would cheapen the experience but I think it is a fertile ground for premium content updates. Absolutely. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Might I ask what you are ranting about?
  6. I'm not much of a PC gamer but it looks like I'm going to be broke because of some of these games. I'm a huge Homeworld fan so I'm especially looking forward to Sins of the Solar Empire although I didn't really like Homeworld:Cataclysm. Not really looking forward to Sword of Stars after looking at the developers page. And I'll admit that Sun, The Witcher, Vanguard, and Parkan2 have all peaked my interest but I want to know more before I become entangled in the dark and dank pit of hopefulness and anticipation.
  7. My guess as to the only reason this topic wasn't stopped around part 10 was because the moderators didn't want to bother having to shut down every other topic because it would be a clone of this one. My apologies if I am slightly off topic. I have an idea: instead of coming out with a new KOTOR why not just put out a lot of new content, via live, for the original. I would play it. Before you begin I'm being idealistic, naive, and sarcastic so you can stop typing your nasty little reply now.
  8. hex168.com Check out rumor #2. Gamespot.com I smell either the avian flu or viral marketing.
  9. I'm sure it is but most of us are to busy to have the time to find it. And that is why we cling to religions created by other people, because it saves time. The funny thing is this one acutally is starting to make sense when compared to the other religions. Who would ever believe such a thing as a talking burning bush that tells you how to live your life... a gaint monster made of noodles is much more probable if not plausable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WHITETEETH, is that you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, but thanks for asking.
  10. Feel free to post a word with a definition you think is outdated, wrong, or just doesn't fit the word and needs to be reworded. Please give the origional defintion, if possible the dictionary one, the new definiton, and if you feel like it an explanation why it should be changed. You know for some weird unexplainable reason I see this thread going down hill and eventually being closed. Why I started it I don't know. But then again I do like watching things crash and burn.
  11. This fell apart faster than a dork's prom date.

  13. I can honestly say I lost what was going on around page 7.
  14. Monday is Columbus Day, at least here in the States, and it got me thinking. My favorite characters from history are Columbus, workers unions, Jimmy Hoffa, the pilgrams, Squonto, the Presidents, Christ, the Easter Bunny, and those people that started the Battle of the Flowers because in some way they have all gotten me out of school for at least on day. I guess I should also include the person who came up with spring break. I honestly think someone was trying to piss of the teachers and just decided to give the students the day off and make the teachers come in for Columbus Day.
  15. While it would be nice to go out like most guys, heart attack/stroke at the play boy mansion, I guess from the choices I would choose to get eaten to death. At least I could kill what was killing me before my last breath. If given my choice though I would prefer dieing in a dual against someone else. Kinda noble I guess. I am of the opinion that you are only given the certainty of one death so you should enjoy it.
  16. Sermen: And I say on to you remeber that it was only when the midget adam, on the hill, was touched by the noodlyness of He that shall be named was he able to relize his inner noodle. And then from his 3rd, 4th, or maybe even 5th noodle, lets face it there was a smuge on the page and we couldn't read it, that the midget eva was created. And thus they were both thrown out of the Inter National House of Spaghetti by Flying Spaghetti Monster and banned from the Olive Garden. So says the Gospel of the Linguine. May the monster save the Pirates. Amen P.S. Don't play with your meatballs.
  17. Congrates. May I offer some advice. When, I mean if her heads starts to spin around either do one or all of three things: 1) call a priest 2) call Guinese 3) call the circus and get a good agent. For the first few days, as I understand it, they baby is well behaved because they are usally high on what ever the docs gave the mother and the effect will last longer if the moster is naturaly feeding and still on pain meds. Good look after that.
  18. I suggest Seneca's writtings because he lived as a stoic till the day he died.
  19. School, school, school, and more school then a good does of 3-4 hours of homework. I swear that my teachers conspire against me. Hell I don't even now where I come up with the time to read and post on these boards. (w00t)
  20. The Voice that Is. Catchy isn't.
  21. First of all Stoicism is Greek. The word stoic is derived from Greek. Stoicism was founded in Athens by Zeno of Citium in 300 bc. If you want some sort of stoic role modle I say look to Brutus from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, and Seneca the
  22. I'm game. I'm a big fan of Civ3 but from what i have heard the multiplayer was horrible. But then again I don't know because I never tried it. But this is tentative to the fact that I have money and don't find another game which I might buy. The graphics are looking great. Shotgun Greece.
  23. I do believe that this thread has gotten a little out of hand and is literally a dog chasing its tail. But this thread does prove that we are diligent recylcers.
  24. I think that this is ridiculous. First of all you are not required to say the pledge in school. You can acually remain seated and put your fingures in your ears while they say the pleadge if that is what you want. Second under god is a very vage phrase. Whose god? It is left to interpretation. And in the grand sceme of things does this really even matter any if much. On intresting note I would like to add. Here in Texas the Texas pledge is said in schools and for some reason it has some students of the mind that Texas is going to seced from the United States. I sort of feel I am surrounded by idiots.
