  1. Maybe there should be a Fable like system for experiance where you get more experiance to spend on the ablities you use. Your choice is to be more physical and use a lightsaber to kill then you get experience unique to that skill. Or maybe you use force powers to take enemies down so you would get skill specific experience. In this way you could add more deapth and variation to the classes. Now instead of just the regular gardain you could have one that has shift that favors more force points and less combate training than a regular gardian but would still be able to out class a consular in saber combat but could not have the amount of force points or powers as the consular class. Does anybody see anything wrong with this concept?
  2. Man,those graphics are BEAUTIFUL,im with you PhantomJedi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm shocked! Someone actually agrees with me.
  3. right you you are,i wouldnt be suprised if they havent madeone yet. . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the idea needs a little refinment but it certainly sounds like a sith move to me. But I don't think that they would but in a light saber because you can disarm a opponent with the force and I think the sith have a reverence for their light sabers. Might want to increase the range to take out everything around you. I sort of like this idea Eddo.
  4. I didn't think that they where used for breeding?
  5. The first one was more along the lines of the classic epic where as the second was there to make you think about a bigger and broader idea; it was more philosophical. I agree with Plano Skywalker, "comparing K1 and K2 is comparing apples and oranges".
  6. I have never played SWG and don't know much about the combat system. I know that there was a major change in combate but don't know what was done. So the question I pose is what was the system like before the change, what did the update change, and why is everyone up in arms about it. I also heard something about a protest in the game its self and that they where all taken from the area and placed else where. Any truth in it?
  7. We can see the conection betweent the two, but which looks better the Chicken or the Egg?
  8. Take anything to an extream point of view and you are almost always not going to like the results.
  9. I'll have some of what he is smokin'. No offense but most of your ideas are a little impracticle. Some advice, think about the context of the universe and characters in it when thinking up more ideas.
  10. I have recently finished the game and have had a change of heart. This is a very good game but not a great one. I believe I spoke to soon about the "flick" targeting because in this sort time I have grown to like it. There are problems with it but it is not a terrible game. I suggest waiting to buy it till the price drops and hope and pray the next one is better. Also now that I have finished and look back on the game's very first cinematic and lvl I can see where they where going and what they were shooting for. It is a shame they missed because if they hit it would have truly been great. I think if they improve the next game and subsequent third it is going to turn out to be a great trilogy that I will be looking forward to playing.
  11. And what does age matter if what is said is the truth? But what you are saying is not truth per se but rather is your opinion, an opinion I some what agree with. I do applaued your refusal to allow your thoughts to be limited by others.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the crystals grow? But I see your point. There should more caverns spread out across the galaxy to find crystals instead of buying them from merchants. And these crystals should be hard to get, in that the main PC has to earn the crystals by defeating dangerous beasts, not some lame laigreks, etc. Speaking of crystals, I thought that the personal crystal in KOTOR II was awesome and I would hope to see its return in KOTOR III. And instead of having someone else tune the crystal, use a meditation chamber to do this (as many people have suggested in this multi-part thread). Visas had her chamber, we want ours! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Visias chamber was her sanctuary and escape from her imprisonment. I agree there should be points for you to focus your energies, like in Jade Empire. I agree the personal crystal rocked but I would like to see it taken further. Maybe you could have equipment that is specificly made for you but is very hard to obtain.
  13. Like everything in the world organized religion has its pros and cons. The pro is all the humanitirian work the religions of the world do to help people and the con is that they polarize people, debates, and cause problems for society in general. I also feel sorry for the repulicans and the republican party. Its leadership has been highjacked by a few relgious nuts.
  14. I am renting it and only suggest it as a rental. What gamespy says is true but the targeting is hard to get use to and the powers are some times hard to use. I do like the way the make it a blend of a game and movie though.
  15. If you think about it our weakness is the reason the we as a species got to the top of the food chain and are where we are now in modern times.
  16. right-o.... strong in the Force = yes chosen one = no just as I like the ability to start at different angles, I like the idea of being able to complete the game (i.e. not getting killed) without accomplishing the main objective. that, of course, would require the main objective to be more than a boss battle at the end....basically 3 or 4 "main objectives"....you can complete the game without accomplishing all of them....you only "win" the game by getting all of them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. It is sort of the norm in games now to in the begining have your thinking (but in your mind you know it is not true) you are just a normal person and then later on have it discovered that you are special some how. I sort of like the twist in Fable where you are thrown in prison and the game gives you only one chance to find the key and if you don't you have to do it again after the year passes. I know it is sort of off topic. I agree with the first part about the slicing and dicing the enemies. However I disagree with the second. If the lightsaber, in an RPG, is made all powerful then the game no longer remains a challenge. I know it doesn't conform with the SW universe but it makes for a better game. I also some what agree with your point about being rare. They should be rare but not to rare. In the first game they could be found every where and in the second I struggled to find them. A balance would be nice. KOTOR I had you start off with a designation such as Soldier, Scout, or Scoundrel. KOTOR II had you start off as Jedi Guardian, Jedi Sentinel, or Jedi Consular. As long as these games are about Force-wielding PCs, I prefer K2's approach. I kind of like the idea where the first 5-7 hours of the game is in a structured learning facility (such as the New Sith Academy or the New Jedi Academy) and that when you complete this structured training, you are, say, 8th level. However, I would like for this to be something we can skip via dialogue. If you skip it, you are already 8th level. This would make it easier to replay the game. How many people complain about those low levels at Peragus and Telos when they are replaying? I've seen a number of posts about that. Don't cut out the lower levels but make them optional. Absolutely. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree it is kind of boring when to replay the game you have to go through the lower lvls that offer nothing really.
  17. I don't really care if another Kotor game ever comes out. All i want is another RPG along the lines of Kotor. I have, for the most, part enjoyed the game play and story from the games and would like to see another RPG of Kotor caliber, and by this I don't mean I want to see the story of Revan go on. I would rather play a Kotor style game any day rather than a Final Fantasy style game.
