  1. I also think that Obsidian Ent. handled Darth Nihilus quite well. I personally hoped the battle would have lasted a little bit longer, but I also didn't expect Darth Nihilus to be a major physical combat threat. One other think I wanted out of Darth Nihilus is a back-story. Sure in the movies Darth Maul had no back-story, but there was a book written about him. I have seen a few video game based books, even a Star Wars video game based book (a book about Star Wars Galaxies), so maybe a Darth Nihilus back-story book isn't too far out of the question. Kreia/Darth Traya is the one to be weary of, and Obsidian used Nihilus to great affect. Kreia is a major bad-ass and we should be scared of her.
  2. 1) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (XBOX) 2) Halo 2 (XBOX) 3) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (XBOX) 4) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords (XBOX) 5) Halo (XBOX) 6) Half-Life 2 (PC) ~ Haven't quite finished this one yet, but very close. 7) 007: GoldenEye (N64) Star Wars: Rougue Squadron II - Rougue Leader (GC) 9) WarCraft III (PC) 10) Perfect Dark (N64)
  3. OK, time for the Mega-Star-Wars-Geek to step in. We all know that Revan was mucho powerfull in that he and Malak struck fear in all the Jedi in the galaxy, and Revan went to the hidden academy to learn the most powerfull DS force feats. He also did not get consumed by the DS as Malak did. I playing him tho, adn that twist in KOTOR 1!!! He is probably the second most powerfull Sith Lord ever, only Vader stands in his way. Vader/Skywalker is the chosen one, the one to bring balance to the Force. Even though Revan can manipulate the Force extremly well, Vader pretty much seals the deal with Force affinity. Combat, well yeah Vader can kick some major butt. Sure he has the suit on, but not becuase he was consumed by the DS, but becuase of a horrible lava accident. As a padawan, Anakin did get whooped by Darth Tyranus, but keep in mind that Tyranus was a former Jedi council memeber, and Anakin still held out pretty long, and even saved Obi-Wan from death. As Vader, he is slow and one handed, but of that is all it takes to combat his foe, well that says something. Sidious isn't even an option! He is an old man, wise to the Sith Arts, and used them to cloud the Jedi's vision of what was going on. He did nohing in combating the Jedi, only somehow mysteriously training a few Sith apprentices.
  4. Yes, it is simply more Jedi-like, which is VERY important to me, super Star Wars geek. Like if I go DS I go dual or Saber-Staff.
  5. Yes, I too have had a problem with the psycic ability of my PC, however my biggest love was the lack of "kung-pow" in the story. I was often looking around for any clue of how Darth Sion and Darth Traya hooked back up. I loved how it had me scatching my head and later had to ask other for the plot points. Seriously, I got lost a lot during the story. I didn't understadn the Sion/Traya reunion. i didn't understand the Jedi Masters saying "Welcome Back" and then exileing me again! Still a good game, and it takes a few play-throughs to get the full effect.
  6. Well, I didn't seem to press the characters much for a backstory save Handmaiden. She had a really cool one, her mom was a Jedi and such and we found she was Echani and Atton is too. I never pressed Atton, even though I have always heard he had the best. I will on my next playthrough, though I also reall want to play KOTOR one more time before playing KOTOR II once more. Anyway, can you guys post Caderous' cuz I wanna know what happened to him. The farthest I got was Revan killed the first Mandalore, told Canderous to go back and reclaim the mantle of Mandalore, and Revan gave Canderous the first helmet. What was Mira's too? Other than having a life-debt to Hanhar that she can't get rid of.
  7. First Playthrough (LS): Shall Forn Second Playthrough (DS): About to start in approximately 7 HRS., so no name.
  8. O.K. here it comes: How did Exile teach Nihilus the dark power of Hunger? I get that Nihilus is a "wound" in the Force as are you, but you became a "wound" through battle and many deaths. After soooo much war, you even disconnected yourself from the Force. Darth Nihilus however learned it from the Trayus Academy, and therefore you taught him nothing. I have a feeling that Darth Nihilus' past will come to light in KOTOR III. What maked me think this? Well his strange death is a huge part of it. He just seemed to evaporate into thin air, maybe because he was very powerful in the Darkside of the Force, or maybe because he can re-awaken. I am personally very intersted in Nihilus' past. As of now all I know is he is mondo-powerful, can destroy the life-force of an entire planet, and as Darth Traya said "he is just a man".
  9. Everyone you played KOTOR probably chose a different portrait for Revan though. How would Obsidian Ent. or even BioWare if they took this game on create a good Revan? Maybe, since you served with him, Boa-Dur could have asked you if you remember what he looked like. It would have worked, like if a series of the original faces appeared. BTW: I didn't play the prolouge (I will my next time around) in my playthrough of KOTOR II, so I don't know if that is linked to this but, I don't remember Atton asking me any questions about Revan. Like Boy/Girl, Good/Bad. I later asked Darth Traya what happened to him and she said he saved the Republic, so I guess the game defaulted to LS. Which is also my personal preference for playing KOTOR.
  10. Well, I think it took me 13 HRS approximately. I remember reading IGN's review and it took the person 17 HRS. I think what boosted my speed at completeing my lightsaber is that after I saved that guy in the Jedi Enclave (can't remember his name) and he offered to sell me a "bunch of Jedi stuff" and that may have had some saber stuff in it. Oh yeah, this also brings up another point. If you are not really a Jedi (you were exiled twice) but you take a lot of the steps a Jedi takes to become a Jedi, like building your saber, doesn't it make you more Jedi-like? If you go and seek out Revan, the "Last Jedi" really, since you were exiled, couldn't he allow you back into the order (assuming you where LS in KOTOR 1)? I mean you still have a Force connection and can wield a saber. You are loyal to Revan and have done your best to bring te Masters back together. You embrace the LS of the Force, and even though you are a "wound", wounds can heal. Maybe you can be cured?
  11. Well I can check the strat-guide again, but I do believe Malaks lightsaber gives +4 STR or something.... it might even be upgradeable.
  12. I have only been through KOTOR II one time so far, and I played through the game LS. I say this because I heard that the Armot and Lightsaber of Darth Malak are items in this game. I didn't quite believe my ears, so I checked the index in the KOTOR II strat-guide at my local GameStop where I also work, and found that are restricted to DS. I checked the walkthrough area for Korriban, I check all of it, especially the Secret Tomb area. They don't mention it anywhere and I am wondering two(2) things: 1) Do the items not show up in-game if you play LS? 2) Are they part of some special DL content (if there will be any) If any of you have indeed found anyone of the two Darth Malak items please tell me where they are hidden. Thanks
  13. Strange, I have only been through the game once (so far!) but when I got Nadd's lightsaber it was extremely weak compared to my single-bladed blue lightsaber.... I guess I am just a great constructor of lightsabers
  14. Well, the answers you gave to my question where what I suspected, but wasn't entirely sure. Expect for one thing, I thought the Jedi Council did strip me of the Force because I did fall down and was passed out. But onto a new question that is been buggin' me for a little while. Oh yeah and don't be rude about this one k. 1) How on earth, did Kriea/Darth Traya just reunite and get back in kahoots with Darth Sion??? I think I might have actually fallen alseep for that cut-scene. p.s. If the Jedi Order is indeed extinct except for me, the Exile wich in-turn makes me noty a Jedi what in the blue hell am I then smarty-pants? I mean I realize that I leach off of others, and that with me training no Jedi on my quest I guess everyone is screwed except fot Revan, he is still a Jedi and he is out there in the unknown regions. Can I be accepted back into the Order through Revan, the last TRUE Jedi?
  15. I know I've posted this before, but I don't rember where. So, here goes: 1) After I save and reunite all the Jedi Masters, why do they shun me again? I understand that I am a "wound" in the Force, and can somehow Kill the Force and all life, but as a LSer, I chose not to do any such thing. And, after encountering all the Jedi Masters, they all say "Hey, good to have you back" which I take to mean "We are allowing you back into the Jedi Order". Then Vrook and company go and suck my powers away again. This leads to question 2. 2) After "Striping" me of the Force, which they never did in the first place right? I still have them when I go to Onderon, Dxun, Telos, and Malachor V. My question is: Is this because of my link to Darth Traya? Do I still have the Force because she still does? This is what I think, which leads to question 3. 3) After destroying Darth Traya, we found out that the bond between us was indeed non-fatal (She died and I did not). However, I always thought that my conection to the Force was returning becuase of my link to Darth Traya, and becuase my horrible experience at Malachor V was slowly wearing away. Since Darth Traya died, do I still have the Force at my command? Am I indeed a Jedi, nolonger an Exile of the Order, that I must recreate (I never trained anyone in the ways of the Force) hence making me head-honcho? The Yoda of the old republic? Answer these ?' for me please to the best of your ability, it will be most appreciated. If you already have, I am sorry for losing my last post. Re-post again PLEASE I beg of you!
  16. Single blue lightsaber LS, Obi-Wan style.
  17. I think KOTOR 3 (if there will be one, they rumors right now i believe) should be a meeting of Revan and the Exile, and they go on some massive wipe-out mission, destroying all Sith (or vice-vera for you who mainly play DS).
  18. What??? I had trouble figuring out what was going on during the story a couple times. I even felt a little jipped during it. I can think of 2 spots: 1) I go through all this trouble to find the lost Jedi Masters (save 1, dead on Korriban) and they are greatful for me finding them during the story. They almost always say "good to see you again", or "It's nice to have you back". To me that indicates that they want and welcome me back into the Jedi order. Then on Kashyyk I am told I am too dangerous and I can end the force as we know it. Then my powers are sucked away again, and they show no gratitude at all. Then after my powers are sucked away from me, I still have 'em. I can only asume this is because of your link to Darth Traya. 2) After the defeat of Darth Traya, you live, which means that the suspect of you dying if Traya did was false, there was no fatal link there. But my biggest question is: do I still have my connection to the force? Am I indeed a Jedi? I would like to think so, considering I worked my but off to prove myself to the Jedi and show that I now fully trust there judgement. 3) Ending: Why only one cutscene? Why give me a simple dialogue option? Answer these questions for me, please!!!!!
  19. Go to nvmax.com and go the gaming section of the forums. Find anytopic started by me (halofanatic) and you will see both a stellar avatar and a really cool sig pic (I only made the sig pic though). My latest topic is "Favorite Gaming Characters" , I am the first post (duh).
  20. Just walk back to the entrance to the tomb. You don't need to go through the back door becuase it places you at the entrance anyway. This tomb isn't crucial to the game or anything, just super neat and revealing.
  21. OK, so after completeing this game I have a few questions. Maybe these have been answered in threads before, but I am new to this forum. I mainly hung around the BioWare forums until recently. ---I, a LSM Jedi Guardian(17) Jedi Weapon Master(9) got all the Jedi Masters of the Council to meet on Dantooine and we talked things over, only to tell me that I must still remain an Exile. What crap! I did all that hard work to only get my powers stripped, find out I'm a wound in the Force, and have Vrook, Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar murdered by Darth Traya. So now that my powers are stripped I still have them. Is that because of my connection to Darth Traya? Once she is dead and I don't die, as we all feared, do I still have the Force at my side? Am I still a Jedi? Can I be called a Jedi, I mean, I was exiled from the Jedi order? If the council agreed to have me exiled again, why when I met with all of them individualy did they all say "good to have you back" implying that I was welcome in the Jedi Order again? --Darth Sion: How did he and Darth Traya just get back together? It seems to me there was a jump there. He was on Korriban when it fell, but how is it that he revives himself? I heard him say something about the darkside rising through the cracks in his flesh to heal him, but I don't fully understand it. Did he and Darth Nihilus work together, or where they two Sith Lords doing there own thing at the same time? I feel that they worked together, but am not entirely sure. Nihilus is off on his ship, and Sion travels in a ghost ship ambushing Republic fleets. They both attack Traya together however and in doing so, are the two Sith Lords. There are always two, no more, no less. Once Nihilus falls, there are once agai two, with Sion and Traya. Sure they have dark jedi in training, but there are always only two masters. Later on in the galaxy, after Darth Bane, there are never Sith training academies, teaching the ways of the Sith, but that is another story unto itself. Please answer these questions if you have the knowledge. Any light shed on these matters will be most appreciated.
  22. OK guys lets chill about Nihilus. I think we all know by now that Nihilus wasn't a super huge character and had little time in the game. Maybe his main role was to set up Visas? Maybe he was there to let you have Visas in your party and that was his main reason in the KOTOR II story. Yeah he destroys worlds and yeah he is also a wound/void in the force. I think Darth Traya summed it up pretty well by showing you what happened between Nihilus, Sion, and herself. They wanted to start their war and she wanted to wait. My questions for the KOTOR II story are these: -- Why and how can Darth Sion and Darth Traya just get back together, I mean Traya learned betrayal at the Malachor academy and was betrayed in-turn. I sure as hell wouldn't let that jumble of bones and cracked flesh being held together by the darkside back by my side. -- How can Darth Sion just revive himself? I remember during your battle with him he tells you that the Pain of all the people and worlds he has destroyed come up from his cracked flesh, maybe someone can shed some light on this for me, becuase I am kinda lost about that aspect.
  23. When it came time for me to fight Darth Traya I used Force Suppression on her, so now all she had left was melee combat and since she is a consular she is seriously lacking strength. After I pummled her she sent out the tri of lightsabers after me. I just ran around the ring and got those lightsabers separated and took them on one at a time. It took me two or three tries, but not a week. I honestly found Darth Sion to be much harder than Darth Traya, even Darth Malak (KOTOR 1) was harder than Darth Traya.
