  1. This is what I figure Ender will be like as a parent http://www.wimp.com/scarekids/
  2. I was just violated by Boston 5-1. But i came back to have Mike Peca score the winna in overtime against the NYI. My character d man is second in scoring for his position. I find a lot of my games are high scoring as well. Most of my goals are coming as a result of one timers, but I'm getting a lot better at spinning around from the side of the net and scoring high after faking to get the goalie to commit low. A break is needed for me from this game, because my thumbs and wrists are getting mighty sore. And I can't see myself trying the hard level anytime soon. Most of the games I've played have been pretty close.
  3. Never cook bacon without a shirt on.
  4. I'm winless in my last three games, losing 6-4. 4-2 and 4-3 in overtime. But I'm having a great time doing so. I also scored a hat trick with Michael Peca ( it included a shorty too!).
  5. I've been playing 2006 for about six hours now. Some of the new moves are pretty cool of you can actually get a little bit of room to use them. So far, my created player has 2G 4A in nine games. I just bagged an empty netter to seal the win against the Flames. Good Stuff!! Graphically its alright, some of the player faces are pretty accurate. And I still have no clue about the open ice controls.
  6. I enjoyed Fight Club quite a bit. It does have some pacing issues but there isn't really a perfect movie out there, so what can you do? Lately I've been watching a lot of war movies, from Platoon to Kelly's Heroes to Heartbreak Ridge. I'm thinking about picking up Saving Private Ryan, but I might lean towards Apocalypse Now. Sometimes I find SPR creeps me out with those battle scenes.
  7. Most of the stores in Canada that I've seen advertising the game actually have the price reduced this year. At Future Shop 06 is going for 29.99 if you preorder over the internet. Thanks for the reviews.
  8. And don't forget nothing has been confirmed with Kovalchuk yet either. The source is unreliable at best. I just read at TSN.com that Al MacInnis has decided to hang up his skates as well. Goalies and shot blocking forwards are breathing a sigh of relief. Does that make Eric Brewer the no.1 D man in St.Louis?
  9. I remember that game. Other Kovalchuk highlights include his hairpulling match with Mike Comrie and of course, Ilyas acne.
  10. Damn Sentry, your pic looks great! All those lightsabers makes me think I'm on drugs and hallucinating.
  11. Is that first picture Frank Sinatra?
  12. Is that one of those grab thingys with the claw on the wall?
  13. I'll make no comments on the last picture.
  14. When should we start the betting?
  15. You will not be taking your laptop to the hospital to give us updates I hope. Here's to a smooth delivery.
  16. I feel the same about Dougie. He was the last player for the Oilers who could say ' I'm changing the tide of this game right now, and I'll do it myself if I have to!' and back it up on a semiconsistant basis. Please don't admonish me Alanschu but I've been digging through Sportsnets Oiler forums and have been reading nasty things about the Doug Weight deal. Like how Kevin Lowe never even made him an offer to turn down. How much is true, who knows? I take it with a grain of salt but its still interesting. And don't get me started on the Tommy Salo/Mike Comrie feud...
  17. Holy Geraldo, Batman!!
  18. I think that news reporter should quit being so dismayed with the anarchy and help out instead.
  19. Oh yeah, Guerin and his whopping contract still belong to the Stars.
  20. The same with my club card savings. Lets hope Tony Amonte remembers how to skate.
  21. So where are you from DT? And more importantly, how much is gas in your town? To keep this on topic, both Bill Guerin and Jason Smith were members of the 1995 Jersey team that won the cup. Smith did not play in the playoffs that year and only suited for the club twice during the regular season.
  22. This might seem light a dumb question, Alanschu, but when do tickets for the rest of the season go on sale? The Oilers site says October games go on sale on the 17th of this month . Ticketmaster has some of the dates up for the later games, but it changes every time I go there.
  23. You're slipping Alanschu, slipping... http://www.nhl.com/lineups/player/8458954.html Its a shame about Jussi.
  24. Is Sarah in labor right now, Ender?
  25. I'd add the Jason Smith to the list of experienced "d". Hey did Toronto not give the Oil Smith for a couple of draft picks? Suckers. As for the BOA, I'm hoping Iginla will get squashed by Pronger a few times this year. I can respect Iginla for being pretty much the top power forward in the league right now ( unless Bertuzzi plays like he should) , but I hate the way he lights it up against Edmonton netminders. Ryan Smyth should take what the team gives him and deal with it. I've enjoyed watching him bleed blue and gold over the last few years, but he still has to put up a season where he's in the top 25 for scoring for him to earn the big bucks.
