That was a meltdown of Oiler proportions for the Kings last night. Tonight they pushed one of my teams into the lead in my hockey pool. Demitra for president and Frolov for vice.

I was actually hoping Hurlshot went to the Sharks/Flames game. I only caught the last period, but what a stellar comeback by San Jose. Plus Calgary lost!(although they earned a point) I don't think there was one person in their seat for the shootout. And you wouldn't believe how loud the Shark tank erupted when Nils Ekkman scored teh winnah. Silly Swede, that guy. Oh yes and I forgot to mention that Edmonton owned the Preds. Good times, good times.

I have two favortie covers. One is 'I will survive' by Cake, it totally owns the original. And the other is 'He'd be a diamond' by Bevis Frond as covered by Teenage Fanclub.

WOOT WOOT!!!! Even if we lose tonight it'll be okay because that gawd awful streak is over!! What sucks more is that the Preds/Oilers game isn't televised at all. No sportsnet, TSN, CBC, foxsportsnet, nothing. I guess I have a little more sympathy for MKreku now.

Carolina is shocking the hell out of me. After knocking off Boston the other night, defeating Philly tonight and ending the unbeaten streak of Ottawa, somehow this team has turned it around so far this season. After being basement dwellers since hitting the cup final, the 'Canes have now not lost in regulation since October the eight. What shocks me the most is that Carolina is doing this without the talent of clubs like Detroit , Ottawa and Vancouver. Cory Stillman? He's the poster child for inconsistancy. Ray Whitney? Play an 82 game season for a change. It's a bunch of young kids with a lot to prove in the likes of Erik Cole, Eric Staal and Justin Williams. Whatever they're drinking down in the south they should bottle it and make a mint. Oh yeah, and the OILERS WIN!!! THANK YOU JEBUS!!!! :D

Please Jebus, please. Let the Oilers win tonight. With a lot of goals. Plus a solid effort from the opening faceoff. And no more ****ty goals going in. And stupid penalties and turnovers.

With all this talk about Crosby and Ovechkin, somebody, though not a rookie, is making a rather loud name for himself as a goto guy. That's Jason Spezza, currently tearing it up for Ottawa and proud owner of the highlight reel goal of the night. Sheldon Souray looked like he had lead in his skates after being owned by Spezza's deke.

You know, I'm hella pissed I have to work late tonight and miss the Canucks/ Avalanche game. And my $3 bet on the proline today will net me over two grand if the gods of luck are shining down on me (which they aren't).

Maybe the NHLs new slogan should be 'Love it or keep your mouth shut!'. I think Gary was sitting in his office bored and said, 'hey we're short revenues this month, lets fine somebody!'. Coaches have been critical of rules, officials and just about everything else in the past. Maybe the league wants to set such a positive image for the game that they are willing to punish anyone who feels otherwise. It's a little Big Brother-esque, but who knows?

Recently the company I work for built a new store. Being one of the lucky? ones going to work there, this morning we had PA testing. Hours of Phil Collins, Enrique Iglesias and Whitney Houston at mind numbing levels. It was about as much fun as a root canal. When I went home for lunch I grabbed my MP3 player and spent a busy afternoon with much better music, including: Anthrax - Got The Time Fleetwood Mac - Seven Wonders Foo Fighters - I'll Stick Around/ Everlong Now I have a three hour meeting with District and Regional managers. I don't think walking in with my headphones on will score any points, but I'll try it nonetheless...

Well Kelverin I picked it up this afternoon, I haven't made it out of the tutorials yet, but beating the whinos was a lot of fun. Then to see them get their liquor was priceless. And I'm totally Jonesin on the original cast (well the alive ones at least) doing the voices. James Remar is the bomb.

My last serious girlfriend left me for a job. Its been a while so now I can look back and say its for the best. But at the time was I a mess. She got knocked up about three months after we broke up by some other dude and had to step down from her job anyway. Go figure. Her dad made some bitchin homemade wine though.
