  1. Fair enought, but i was speaking in general. I have nothing against you if you enjoy his music. I enjoy most of it myself, and he is very good at what he does, but let's not over-state his achievements just because he wrote the music on one of your favored movies. As i said, he is a good film composer, propably one of the best alive today (and defenatly one of the most prolific), but defenatly not a god...
  2. He does if you want to call him a God...
  3. As i said, he's a decent film composer, but other then that, he's petty average. I heard his Cello Concerto once (one of the few real classical peices he ever wrote), and it was rather underwhelming. Even in the realms of film composer, he wouldn't rank anything near the top 10, i found him horribly over-rated...
  4. John Williams is a God ?!? He's a decent film composer, an very average classical composer and a Stravinsky ripp off. Far from being a God, John Williams is an hack...
  5. It would seem as though a completely irrilevant character (Boba Fett) was turned into a cult by Star Wars geek fans who thought his armor looked cool. Because of that, an entire family line of Fetts streching across the eons had to be created so that each Sta Wars story has to have one of those goofes around. My opinion ?!? The hell with Boba Fettucine and his eternal progenie...
  6. Personally i though 20 was WAY too much in the original game. KOTOR should have been balanced to end around level 15 (Darth Vader is level 17), which would have been perfectly within reasonable limits without infringing the setting. It was bad enought to have Raven himself be as powerful as Yoda in the game, but the fact that each party member was just as poweful, well, that was asking a tad too much really, it completely broke the game immersion. I can't beleive you people would like to have 30 levels, let alone 50, bunch of lame power hungry munchkins... <_<
  7. Nope, she looks more like Obi One from the original Star Wars. The hint of dark mistery is not the property of the Sith, that's just one of those lame characterizations stemming from the latest prequels, which Bioware thought it would have been a good idea to draw from. In the original trilogy, Jedis are always clouding themselves with an aurea of mistery, they were more like gun slingers from a Sergio Leone western then those weak zen-like freaks we've seen in the game. Hopefully, Obsidian is taking their cues from the older stereotype and bypass the new movies altogheter. For starters, i'm glad there won't be a Jedi 'council', boy am i releived...
  8. Characters. Ho, i see that isn't in the poll, interesting...
  9. Basically, it works like this. The Rodian gets refilled with new items twice in the game. One after finding 3 Star Maps, and the second time after finding 5 Star Maps. The items offered include the two best ligth saber christals in the game, as well as some of the coolest armors as well. On top of that, if you play the Rodian on Pazzak and win 10 times (not including the 7500 credits you'll be making by doing this), you'll have a discount on all items he sells from that point on, including his premium items. And if that wasn't enought, he pays the highest for all the items you sell him. I must have made around 100.000 credits just by selling him all the granades, mines, force shileds and steam packs i found (never used any of them anyway). The reason why he doesn't have anything else going on for him is that the whole Yavin station was the bonus found on the PC version of the game, it was not meant to be a part of the game...
  10. Becase we like RPGs, and we have a love affair with Chris Avellone and his team of hooligans. Seriously, what's to like about Star Wars ?!? It's a just a basic ripp off of just about every major Sci-fi franchise (Foundation, The Lensmen Series, Dune, John Carter of Mars and who knows what else), hipped up with special effects, terrible acting, and a shallow, block buster characterization. I enjoyed the second movie well enought, but other then that i consider George Lucas a complete hack, just take a look at the prequels. throws up Have a nice day...
  11. Heh ?!? Ok i'll start with saying that Star Wars sucks...
  12. Just saw the 92mb video. Seems exactly the same as KOTOR, which is precicely what i was expecting, more of the same + new story and characters, no suprises there. It was interesting to see how Xboxers play the game tough, and i really feel sorry for them...
  13. I tried to play for the Dark Side, i just can't do it, it's against my nature to play evil characters...
  14. I don't generally trap people, Dark Users seems to be stuck on the idea the force should be used for personal amusement. From my part, i seek entartaiment from more fullfilling activities, such as high art and music, as well as my own studies of the force. Most of my time i accupy working on my training, improving and constantly refining my skills whereas Dark Siders frikle and wither away while wasting valuable time torturing innocent people. Occationally, i travel the worlds in diplomatic matter or to fullfill my duties, but i often go out and seek adventure for my own benefict, to further keep myself in shape as well as experience as most from this life as i can before accepting my final destinity and stepping beyond the boundary of this reality. My only weakness seems to be love, but i personally beleive passion shouldn't be completely rejected. The councile doesn't seem to approve, but i think it's too easy to forget the lures of the Dark Side by eliminating all temptations. Only by keeping yourself near the dangerous edge of the Dark Side you can find the determination to resist, which in turn strenghten my ties to the light side of the force... B)
  15. The lures of the Dark Side are for those too weak to raise beyond their evolutionary chains. Those who seek the light raises themselves further and strive to be something more, a step above the mere trappings of reproduction and survivle of the fittest. It's the next evolutionary turn into something greater, those who can't raise themselves from the swamp which spawned them are forever left behind. Let the Dark Side struggle with the pettyness of this existence, for those who follow the path will forver join with the force and be one with it's very essence, the heart of the universe itself... B)
  16. That makes sense now. Personally I think that was lame, they should have had an option to attack the pods directly with a lightsaber. I just attacked HIM with my lightsaber, again, again, and again. Damn fool kept regenarating whilst i kept removing parts of his anatomy. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had just accepted defeat the first time, he had to be a loser 7 times over, bah.
  17. Didn't have an issue with it, besides the fact there really wasn't that much money to be made from it to really bother with it (tought i did play the crap out of that guy on the Yavin station. Made about 7000 credits and a discount on all his items). I'd say make it more sparse, but more rewarding as well...
  18. Actually, that's one of the coolest ideas i ever seen for this game. Too bad it won't be implemented though...

    E3

Well, there's F.E.A.R., and then Guild War. I'm sure there must be a few more original titles nestled there. Frankly, i hate sequels, but what can you do, when F.E.A.R. was first announced some people raised an uproar about the fact it wasn't neither NOLF3, Blood3 or Shogo 2, go figure...
  20. How about some planets that are actually alien ?!? KOTORI had 5 planets but it might as well been set on earth...
  21. Where can i get that ?!?
  22. Dear god, no, still terrible. How hard can it possibly be to replicate the concept art in the game ?!?
  23. You mean the red haired rogue ?!? I hope the girl with the blue robes isn't supposed to be the silver haired Jedi from the concept arts, she looks petty generic in the game...
  24. The d20 game is limited because the Star Wars universe is limited. There is no such thing as 'epic' levels in Star Wars, period. Yoda is the extreme end of the spectrum and it's already too much that we got anything near that order of power, how can you ask for more ?!? Neverwinder Nights was D&D. In D&D, there's Dragons, High Demons, Demi-gods and all sort of powerful entities to offer a challenge to Epic characters. No such thing in Star Wars. Who needs rolling then, just add more points to distribute. Personally, i'd rather keep it the way it was.
  25. Nice list, however : Prestige classes and epic levels. Prestige classes are in, but epic levels, there is no such thing in the Star Wars universe. Yoda is level 20, how powerful do you wanna get ?!? Shall we introduce Jedi demi-gods ?!? During character creation, instead of giving the player points to spend, let us roll up our characters. I don't like the game choose my character for me. I still can't fanthom who came up with the ridicolous notion of having a dice choosing which type of character you are going to play. More than two other party members. If this was an isometric RPG i would agree, but the horrid consolish interface of the game would make more then 3 character pure hell to manage, particularly with the consolish tiny little levels (over-crowding) and the average A.I. (over-getting lost everywhere). Other then that, that's a fair list. Of course, what i really want is a great story and great characters (PS:T-great), if they can achieve that, i'll be more then happy to ignore certain issues with the rest of the game... B)
