  1. Indeed. The original Halo was pretty good, but nothing to brag about, guess lot's of Xboxers log on Gamespot. Personally, i was going to vote for KOTOR2, but since i hate Star Wars (and the limitations it will impose to Obsidian), i voted for Half Life 2 instead, propably the only FPS out there that seems to be focused on GAMEPLAY...
  2. http://ps2.mobygames.com/developer/sheet/v...eloperId,59214/ Is he actually supposed to work on the soundtrack, or just the sounds of the game ?!? I won't judge his work as i'm not aware of anything he has done, but i hope they are not going to jinx the sound track of this game...
  3. That's the one...
  4. KOTOR never got an ward for character customization...
  5. Abiding to the aweful dialog choises you were given, i'd say there wasn't much to give him. MY Revan was utterly bland, i really hope the 'true' Revan will regain his memories and turn back on being the great general again...

  7. Like, say, Bioware's writing ?!? Frankly, i'll take Torment's over-floressant prose over that.
  8. Lucas Arts didn't allow mods for KOTOR and propably won't for KOTORII, so no luck there. Besides, the main point is that you can't have cannon fodder adversaries that are as powerful as you are at those levels. It just wouldn't make sense to have your average Sith be as powerful as Yoda, as mentioned before, the world around you would simply collapse...
  9. I guess to some people 'evil' just isn't noteworthy unless it's bland, shallow and completely clear cut and unimaginative. Bioware's conception of evil can't get past the maniacal laughting/mustache twirling disney stereotype. If that's what your idea of a 'great' character i can't help it, but i personally prefer something more mature and in line with reality. This is what made Torment such a great game in my book, the fact each character didn't simply befall on some established cliche. At the end, you almost symphatize with Raven, and as for the last incarnation, how could a character matter more when YOU were the main villian of the game. ?!? What could be more distressing then to learn you caused the death of your eternal love ?!? How could you remain unaffected for what you did to Morte or Drakkon ?!? All the evil and torment you caused, all because you were too cowardly to face your own destiny ?!? None of this mattered to you ?!?
  10. ^That wouldn't be so bad actually...
  11. http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/17/ Meh...
  12. First of all, let's get down with something. George Lucas is a proven idiot, and i don't have to accept everything that comes from his limited mind. That Bioware has an issue with their shallow and bland conceptualization of evil is an established fact, this doesn't mean that Obsidian has to take in Bioware's rejects of ideas just because Lord George Lucas has decreted that everything that pertains the Star Wars universe, no matter how random, arbitrary or relevant the source is has to become canon, and that's that. I for one was hoping for a better characterization of the Sith with this sequel, now you are just shooting down my hopes for imprevement because everything that is done to the Star Wars source becomes standard no matter how much it sucks.
  13. Er..., you know, the less you listen to George Lucas, the better off the Star War universe seems to be...
  14. Yeah, but this is just an arbitrary arse characterization which doesn't have to turn into a canon to describe a society that has been in struggle with itself for 40.000 freaking galactic years, you'd think there would be SOME change in such a large span of time. Just because emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader are both pshycotic sociopaths doesn't mean every single sith in the entire hystory of a galaxy far far away from making ANY sense has to be modeled after them. I say destroy the old canons and give us a restructured characterization of the sith, we don't need an entire society of Anakins Skywalkers, for the love of god...
  15. Who needs low resolution crap ?!?
  16. Maybe they could simply do us a favor and scrap the whole characterization of the sith in the first place ?!? Star Wars doesn't always have to suck you know...
  17. That was the old Revan. Judging from the dialog options offered in the original game, MY Revan was as thick as an armored battle cruiser, and i don't remember you regaining any of your old memories either so...
  18. Original or not, it was still predictable, and i still didn't like it...
  19. Could it be possible to have a villian who isn't a GED reject, doesn't have any bodily deformations and most importantly doesn't indulge in random maniacal laughting ?!? I was disappointed by how easy the original game was, but the satisfaction of being able to beat Malak to a pulp in half a second almost made up for it. I hope we are going to confront somebody of Revan's caliber this time.
  20. Volourn, is there a particular reason why so many words in your posts are completely scrambled ?!? Just wondering...
  21. Why, how good did they claim to be ?!?
  22. Grominr, all though your points are all (mostly) valid, i still think Torment outclasses KOTOR in nearly every single area then i can think of (including combat), and yes, over-rated or not, i also rank Chris Avellone above DG. All in all, i still see no reason to doubt Obsidian couldn't do a far better job with this game then Bioware, albeit i must admit Bioware were propably more confortable with the inherent luck laster and blandness of the source metarial.
  23. I think a nice trade off would be to have levels mean less. This way you can still be level 30 (and keep the munchkins happy with a steady leveling flow), and not have to be able to kill an army of yodas with one strike...
